Great little café :) Jeff and Amy are great people!

Love their coffee! My boyfriend frequents this place because of their sweet matcha latte. Unfortunately, they’re always out whenever he tries to buy one. The place is small so it’s usually packed after 4pm. Aside from excellent coffee, you also get very good service. 5 stars!

Best coffee shop in town. I love their hemp steamer with a sprinkling of cinnamon on top; just right on a cold rainy day. Thank you, Jeff and Amy, for making such a warm and welcoming place in our community.

Yummy coffee, great places to sit at, it’s a little hidden. But probably the best café in Federal Way. You can come here to study, to talk, or just chill.

Tl;dr: excellent coffee, excellent service, excellent commitment to local and alternative products, and breakfast foods worth every calorie. You have to try this place! The long version: I go here multiple times a week and get triple Americano(12oz) either plain or with a scoop of white chocolate, mocha(12oz, 12oz triple or 12oz standard), and dirty chai’s(12oz, 1 – 2 shots). I love my coffee strong without a nasty afterbite, and they make it right here. My guy does not like coffee flavor, but consistently gets a mocha here and prefers them over anywhere else we’ve been. We both love the customer service — friendly, honest and a good sense of humor. Happy to accommodate new drink ideas, picky drink orders are indecisiveness. The coffee is pretty fast, with only the usual slowdowns during busy rushes. Food-wise, the bagel sandwiches are amazing — they take a bit of time, but only because they toast the bagel separately from the filling and it comes out wonderfully crisp and gooey. The scones are soft, crumbly and sweet, and the raspberry crumble bars — holy crap, they are my favorite in the entire Puget Sound area.

Great cup of coffee to be had here. Hot, fresh, robust, bold, all the adjectives. Would have been nice to have lowfat in addition to half-and-half.

I am a coffee lover/fanatic/addict. Yesterday I came to Asensio Coffee for the first time and I can definitely say that I enjoyed the best coffee I have ever had. The environment itself is clean, welcoming and cozy. The level of customer service was impeccable. I am moving into a house not too far from this cute shop and I think I may have found my go to coffee shop before work and outside of work. The pricing is so reasonable and I feel like I truly got quality in a cup!

Such an adorable coffee shop in Federal Way! There is a reason why this place fills up quite fast. They have a great selection of coffee and lots of organic teas as well. Furthermore, they have every milk substitution you can possibly think of! I came here during the time of a Seahawks game so a lot of people were coming to get their coffee fix but leaving right after picking it up. I ordered a vanilla chai latte with soy milk and also a ham, egg, and swiss pesto bagel sandwich. They heat up their bagel sandwiches for you. They also have organic pastries and goods in their display case if you want to munch on something with your coffee. The area to pick up your coffee can get a bit crowded since they take their time to make every drink perfect. The coffee shop itself has a variety of different tables and seats. I can see this as a good place to get some work done or catch up with a friend. If you like your chai tea lattes on the sweeter side then the vanilla chai will be your best friend. It tastes like warmth and cinnamon and spices in a cup. After a sip, I regretted ordering a tall and wished I went for a grande(next time!). If you don’t like yours sweet, they have a spiced chai tea latte on the menu as well. The pesto bagel sandwich was good, but not the best bagel sandwich I’ve ever had. I like that they put a lot of ham in it and that the swiss cheese melts perfectly on the bagel. It tastes a lot better since they warm it up so I appreciate that they take the time to do that. The staff here are so, so friendly. They have bright smiles and open personalities. It’s easy to chat with them and you can see they have a lot of love for their jobs. I definitely know that I’ll be coming back to this coffee shop when I want to catch up with someone or get some work done!

This place was down the street from my place and so I thought to try it out. Why did it take me so long? This place has great coffee with an even better atmosphere. Forget Starbucks I’m Coming here from now on.

My friend and I decided to venture out to Federal Way for the day in search of a new study spot. I have to say that we loved Asensio Coffee! There are a number of tables, all different styles and in a variety of sizes, really available outlets, and the drinks are amazing. Normally when I hear that a coffee shop specializes in organic, I think a sacrifice in flavor. Thank goodness this was not the case. I ordered the vanilla chai tea latte and it was hands down, the best non-coffee drink I have ever had. As a non-coffee drinker, I appreciated that they offered just as many non-coffee drinks as coffee drinks! So rare! There is a great deal of foot traffic coming through, and the drinks come out a bit slower than other coffee shops, but if you’re staying for a bit, the short wait is no problem.

I needed a place to study for a few hours and found this place. Didn’t have an idea of what beverage to decide on and the friendly and helpful baristas gave me a lovely suggestion(Cinnamon Plum) that I love! Plenty of beverage options to choose from, and a couple tempting pastries and bagel sandwiches. I had a ham and swiss pesto bagel. Yum. And the thing that drew me here — the comfy seating area! Small spaces scattered about for meeting with friends or solo lounging. Free wifi(ask for the code). Always an added bonus. If you need the restroom ask for a key. Oh and soft jazz music that happened to be playing in the background. Love. Will keep this place in mind next time I’m in the area. Thanks Asensio!

This is my coffee joint. It is a family-owned business. The owners are so friendly and are very welcoming every time. They make an intentional effort to get to know each regular customer. Their overall customer service is fantastic. They serve organic Poverty Bay coffee and everything else they serve is «clean» food as well. Even their smoothies are nothing but fruit purée and sugar. They also serve every milk alternative that you can think of! There aren’t enough words to describe how impressed I am every time I walk in those doors. I am glad for their great service and hope they stay here for years to come. I’m also glad that I don’t have to drink Starbucks anymore: P Hopefully they can expand their business beyond Federal Way someday.

After not being sure what I wanted the batista reccomended a white coffee latte… amazing!!! Lightly sweet nutty and milky with soooooooooooo much caffeine. I was like woooo I am awake. No coffee flavor at all, but it was good… next time I’m going to get this with cinnamon and more sweetner like a caffinated horchata lol

Didn’t stay. I wanted drip coffee and asked how long what they currently had sitting in a thermos pump pot. The guy was very friendly, but anyone who knows coffee… beyond an hour is not good anymore. Even home coffee makers shut off after an hour I really wanted to try it, so I was disappointed. I’m a drip coffee drinker for the most part, so I asked if they would brew fresh and got a ‘not right now’. I suppose you would want an Americano if you want fresh, but it’s .$ 20 cents more. Interior of the place looked nice. I assume they offer WiFi. Decent place to sit and relax. The pastry case had some decent looking items. Music was decent. Mid sized decent crowd. Two stars for the friendly guy and decent looking establishment. Looks like they offer organics here. That’s a small bonus for the organic crowd.

Been here a handful of times. I love this place, it feels a little more down to earth and welcoming instead of starbucks. I love the options they have for people who don’t drink milk. I’ve gotten my drinks with almond milk. We’re fans of poverty bay coffee. When I had out of Towner’s I brought them here and they bought some coffee to take home with them.

Am hoping that the response from the owner is genuine. I’ll change my rating once we go back. HD a hick up yesterday with very rude employees. Owner Jeff states he is working on the issue. Would love to come back and see it was just a bad day for someone. Thank you to the owner who reached out to fix the issue.
