Rob, the manager handled my baseball bat issue with great character and integrity and I appreciate his good customer service! I would like to also acknowledge Wally who helped us find a different bat to suit our needs. He took his time to help my son find the perfect bat and batting glove. Great god Federal Way Big 5! Keep up the great, sometimes thankless work! :)

I have to come o Big 5. Since i have 6 kids. Shoes are very expensive so i mostly shop at discount shoe stores. I really like Big 5 for the children under 12. I can get a 40⁄50 dollar shoe for a little over 20.00 The older ones are more picky with my money. They have to have the in shoes. They will be getting a job real soon.

I came in to exchange my ½ gal water jug that I bought here because of a small misfortune I had with my old one. The manager treated me with great costumer service from the moment I entered to the moment I left.

This is a typical Big 5. Normal selection of sporting gear and apparel. The staff is usually milling around and not asking to help anyone. The only employee that was nice was the cashier. So be prepared to be on your own to find what you’re looking for if you come here.
Most of the stuff here is over priced and you can find it at Walmart for way cheaper.
In all, I would only come here if you absolutely had to.

Every time I go to get the shoes that are on sale they DON’T have my size. The last time I asked on 6 different types of shoes you guessed it none in my size. will not recommendBig5 for shoes to anyone.

Good place to look for some inexpensive sporting goods and outdoor gear. Not the highest quality stuff, but a lot cheaper than shopping at REI. This company has a new circular out every week with a ton of stuff marked down 20−60%, so try to get the goods while they’re on sale!
The staff here were quite helpful– I had three different employees offer assistance as I browsed around the store.

OK I went to the big 5 in Salem Oregon and got shoes
and yes again I need shoes
i walked in and was looking at a good pair of Smith and Wesson boots
I was going to get them but they did not have them in my size .
oh well I still go me some good boots

Giving it 5 Stars after my experience today — bought boots 5 months ago (the same one DH has worn for 5 yrs), he finally wore them and they gave him blisters. Went into to see if they would exchange and they didn’t have to but did it with a smile! Wow, I was impressed. Also, got 2 pairs of tennis shoes on sale for 60% off! Now that both girls are doing lots of sports and there is no GI Joe’s I see a lot of trips here in the future…
