I’m from Arizona and spent my summer in Santa Cruz. I went to Tina on the day before my best friends wedding not knowing what to expect. I’ve never had someone cut my hair just the way I asked. I’m a natural curly head and Tina could relate, so when I asked for a small trim and tips to grow out my curls she gave me awesome advice and even samples of clarifying shampoo and intense conditioner. I loved my trim so much I went again 8 weeks later, before I left again for AZ. I am going back to Santa Cruz next summer and am trying to wait out my trim as long as I can so I can see Tina again!

I’ve taken my son to Tina twice now, and she really knows how to clean up his mop well! She is really sweet and knows how to interact with my usually squirmy son in a way that makes him relax. Her prices are very affordable and her studio is very small but very well kept and organized! I plan on letting her have a go at my hair in the near future.

Damn, Tina’s good. Traditionally, I only get my hair cut twice a year… in a good year. It’s probably partly based on laziness, partly on some repressed trauma from being overcharged for a lousy cut. But Tina did such a great job for SUCH a reasonable price, I might go back for regular six week tune-​ups.

Great haircut, nice lady. Brought my son in for a haircut, the style was great. Usually a kid just gets a cursory cut, but this was definitely a cool style. He was very happy.
