Thought it was on the downhill slide last fall but — again, I’m wrong. I’ll give it a solid four stars now(up from my previous 3). Faster each time I’ve been in, cleaner, and here all year. Standard DQ with a DQ menu. My guess is the added«management» is saving the day here. Tables are now cleaned without someone first complaining and the place is much cleaner looking even with the increased summer traffic. Well done. Happy faces make a difference.

It was pretty cool. Had a chilly cheese dog lunch box. Sundae is good. It was very close to our hotel and we could have. Lunch for just 11 $. I wish I could try the chicken ranch but they were closed on Monday when we passed by around 11am

Ordered two blizzards which were made as asked and quickly. Of all the Dairy Queens we visit, this place is the cleanest! You can tell the management makes an effort to keep the dining area clean and straightened.

Manager and employees very friendly. Clean, child friendly place. Great specials on the street sign. LOVE the new Julius menu!

Long wait in drive thru(over 15 minutes) before order. Once food was order the wait was very little. Staff was helpful and food decent but not great.

Can’t go wrong with Blizzard specials. I don’t think that I’ve ever had a bad one. Good place for a nice treat.

If it had not been for the decent food, I would have given zero stars. The kids running this place, at least one of them, had no manners and worse, no understanding of sanitation. When she stuck her nose(entire face) in a bag of take-out to determine whos was what, I was prepared to pack it up, but my kids were not having it. Thankfully, the cook and gal at the register were mature enough to follow thru while their co-worker chucked and played with her pals. Please, whoever owns this spot, check your staff…

The Fernandina Dairy Queen has changed managers twice in the past five years. The manager previous to the current one was intolerable. The store was filthy and I believe they cheated people on the ice cream. Thankfully, it has a new manager now, and it is back to Dairy Queen standards. It’s clean, the service is fast and the orders are prepared accurately. The food is prepared well, but I’ve never had a taste for DQ burgers or hot dogs. Don’t get me wrong, they’re well made and cooked correctly — they’re just not my favorite. Dairy Queen is the only place to get real soft serve ice cream on the island. The other places either serve fast food versions, frozen custard, or traditional hand packed. The downside is their proximity to the beach(less than 50 yards) means their prices are a bit high for ice cream. Oddly, their food prices are normal for DQ. Only detractions are — the restaurant is immaculately clean, but is the 1980s design. They have not adopted the«Grill and Chill» layout. Secondly, they don’t appear to carry any treat bars other than the«Dilly Bar», nor do I see cakes. I’d ask the manager(who is a truly nice man) to see if they can get you what you want. If you went to Dairy Queen on the island more than a year ago, it’s an entirely new place now and well worth your time.
