I really enjoy their pizzas. I’ve only had one bad experience with their pizzas(their chicken reminds me of the Tyson fajita strip chicken you’d find at a grocery store), and my roommates really enjoy their large subs. I usually ask for them well-done, and I love that they offer red pepper as a topping. Overall, one of the better pizzas in the area!

The pizza was O. K I had a large gourmet toppings Pizza and an order of Cheesesticks. The pizza and toppings had good flavor but most of the toppings continued to fall off. The customer service here was very pleasant.

Best pizza in Ferndale! Some of the tastiest Detroit deep dish pizza I have ever had. Staff is always friendly and the pizza is always delicious. I would eat it everyday if I… Ok fine, I eat it everyday. Don’t judge me! It’s so good!

If you’re thinking of getting delivery from Nick’s, make sure you live next door to them. Apparently, a 2-mile drive is too far for them. Good luck making it with those kinds of policies.

I had a hankering for pizza, but had absolutely no desire to leave the warmth of my house, so when I saw they delivered I was sold. Ordered a large with mushrooms, green peppers, and onions on round crust. They took down my address wrong, so I got a call from a frustrated delivery guy trying to find my place. We eventually got him there, but because of the delay the pizza was luke warm. Not the driver’s fault, but no less disappointing. The pizza was well topped and they got the order right. I also thoroughly appreciate the fact that they use fresh mushrooms! The taste was good, but I was perturbed by the middle of the pizza. It was underdone, limp, and soggy. I might try them again, but I should have looked more closely at the reviews and asked for it well done as so many suggested.

Good pizza, and they deliver. Haven’t tried any of the other options on the menu, but the pizza’s decent and they’re accurate on their timing for arrival. My one suggestion is definitely order your pizza«well done» so as to avoid a doughy texture to the crust, but other than that, it’s a solid option for food in the area.

My bf and I are new to the area. Decided to try Nick’s and what a great choice that was! Large round double pepperoni was super tasty. Also had the jalapeño cheese stix which were equally as delish! Thank you Nicks for becoming our new, go-to pizza joint!

I was so disappointed! Saved myself ALLDAY just to eat this pizza and not feel so guilty. I was almost frothing at the mouth when I called in my order:) My Order: I want a Large Nick’s Gourmet, Square, Well Done, Extra Cheese, & Garlic Butter Crust Not hard? What I got: Large ROUND Limp *ssed underdone Nick’s Super! Missing Olives, Missing Hot Peppers, Because the order was wrong… I looked at it again, nope it wasn’t even a Nick’s Super as there was no Sausage either. So gave them the benefit of the doubt. Did I just pick up some other persons order? Nope, looked at the ticket taped to the box. It was my order but that was not what made it to the box. As for the crust, I can compare it to Papa John’s WITHOUT the wonderful butter garlic sauce, but just as limp maybe even limper… how sad is that? I went in for a pickup so please open your box and check out your order BEFORE you leave… cuz they don’t give a sh*t! Nick’s Pizza was SOOOO much better for some reason when they were in Hazel Park.

We got Nick’s Pizza for dinner last night. To be honest, I was pretty disappointed. I had heard nothing but good things about Nick’s from all of my Ferndale friends, so I was really excited to give them a try. It was just OK. Don’t get me wrong — it was fine, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. The bread tasted like bland pizza crust(hardly anything on it — thank goodness for the garlic sauce cup that came with it). We had the round pizzas, one with sausage and onions, the other with bacon and pineapple. The price was decent, but I guess I was hoping for more. I may give them another try… if I get a coupon.

We have been ordering from Nick’s Pizza since we moved to this neighborhood –actually since it was Dan Good pizza a few years ago. That said, their pizza is good, the cheese bread is ridiculous and their salads are yummy too. They have a lot of specials and they will tell you about them even if you don’t have a coupon. Also they are very customer service oriented in my experience. Tonight they forgot our extra pizza sauce. I am a girl who likes my sauce, so I called them and they brought over 4 extra pizza sauces and a Pepsi. The manager even offered to remake the entire order but I didn’t want to waste food so I just asked for the sauce and I got it within 15 minutes. Not many places will do that.

We tried it soon after it opened and it’s our go-to for pizza in Ferndale. They deliver and everyone who we’ve dealt with there is incredibly friendly. I haven’t tried the round, only deep dish and it is very good. Similar to Jets but the service compared to our nearest Jets is so much better.

Vegan Pizza that delivers. Amazing. I didn’t like it before but going Vegan gives you some cravings and happily they do it much fresher in Ferndale. Lol. The crust is perfectly cooked and you don’t feel like a bricks in your gut when you’re done. And the delivery driver is awesome. My dog loves him. This is now the only pizza we order.

I was really impressed by Nicks! When my boyfriend suggested it I wasn’t too excited as I already had my favorite local pizza place but it ended up being awesome. He got a deluxe with flavored crust and it was super– the flavored crust is a must! I got a thin crust with pineapple and bacon and it was flawless. Really tasted fresh — not bacon bits or anything like that :) I can’t wait to order the same thing again! Boyfriend also let me try a bite of his Italian grinder and I approve of those as well! I love supporting local businesses and Nicks makes it easy to want to order again!

Searching for a new pizza place on Unilocal is where I found Nick’s! The quality ingredients far surpass chain pizza joints. The crust is fluffy and moist. You can also order a flavored crust. The toppings are generous and evenly distributed just the way I like it. Nick’s has reasonable specials for group size orders.

Oh, Nick… now don’t take this personally but I greatly prefer your predecessor Dan since his pizza was Dan Good. Yours is… well…sort of bland. And by sort of I actually mean very. Bland. Yeah. Very bland. I’m amazed at how tasteless your sauce is… tomatoes aren’t actually allergens, you know. Put some flavor in it, I won’t be offended. Your crust is… substantial. I…I’m leaving you, Nick. You can’t meet my need(for flavor). You’re no good for me.

We’ve ordered from here quite a bit, thought I owed Nick’s a review. I’ve only tried the pizza, breadsticks, and cheese sticks. All are pretty good, I recall the cheese sticks being well above average. The pizza is good pizza. Not the best, but tasty and consistent. My wife craves the breadsticks, we HAVE to get them. She’s so tickled by those breadsticks she could take or leave the pizza. They are crispy, light and doughy. I like them, but they aren’t anything life changing(could my life be changed by the ultimate breadstick? Hmmm…).They are supposed to come with garlic butter, but in all the times we’ve ordered them I think we’ve gotten the garlic butter twice. Pizza is so subjective, any place is going to have haters and diehards. I can tell you that Nick’s is pretty good and close to home for me. And that’s what I’m looking for!

We’ll see if Nick’s makes the cut with the locals but this location has been an ever changing home of pizza places from Salvatore’s, to Dolly’s, a Dan Good and now Nick’s. I ordered a small round with sausage and banana peppers, a square with pepperoni and a cheese bread. If I’m being honest the round was a little doughy but it was loaded with toppings. The square had a fairly thin crust(for a deep dish) but I liked the texture and flavor of the crust. I didn’t love the sauce on top of the pie though… it’s a more acidic sauce with a fresh bright tomato flavor but a little weak on the herbs and spices. The cheese bread was pretty straight forward and I liked it the best of what I ordered. Sauce or ranch is a la carte for an additional 89 cents… it would be nice if they just threw that in with an order of bread. Service was fast and friendly, the pies looked nice and while Nick’s isn’t my favorite pizza in Ferndale I hope it fares better than it’s predecessors.
