We were the only ones in the pizza joint. Service was great and they were great to the kids. Food was really good but the chicken was over cooked a little. I would go there again any day!

WELOVEDONATOES(until they came to Findlay). Why is ours so average? Pizzas are always lukewarm, and the crust here doesn’t seem to be the same as in Columbus, or other locations.

Chain restaurants suck. They suck at food, and they suck for communities. They’re a self-repeating stamp of medocrity that wipes away culture and heritage of towns and replaces it with soulless grub with annoying names like jalapeño poppers or bloomin’ onion. But there’s no getting around them in my beloved hometown and there’s no getting around how good of an option Donatos is. The pepperoni is thicker and more flavorful than it’s Obama-hating competitors. Bacon is done similar justice and isn’t wimpy, fatty pieces of cold pig carcass. The crust is surprisingly flaky and crispy, at least for my lowered expectations. Jac n’ Dos will give you an taste of something uniquely Findlay, but Donatos won’t let you down.

As with any new business they may have needed to work out some kinks but there is no doubt they are now ready to go. This is by far the best pizza around. The sauce is slightly sweet, yet light. Thin crust is the way to go.

I’ve known about Donatos for more than a decade, and it has taken that long for the Findlay area to get a location. Is that a bad thing? Well, no, as we have so many pizza places in town, one more isn’t going to make too much of a difference. We decided to have lunch here, just to try something new. If I had known it would have taken me more than an hour to finish, I would have checked out something else. The kitchen and floor is stacked with employees, but it took me an hour to get in and out? I ordered and individual pizza! It shouldn’t take that long. Once I actually got my Founder’s Favorite, it was decent. Thankfully, it was suitably warm. It was freezing in there, and I was concerned my pizza would turn ice cold. The only difference between their restaurant pizza versus their store bought pizza(available at the East side Kroger) is that their ovens seem to do a better job of baking the pizza. Either that or I fail at cooking, which is also entirely plausible. Until they work the kinks out, this isn’t a place to go when you’re in a hurry.
