I’ve been at this location a million times. Food is fresh and meat Temps are always on point. Obviously well trained kitchen staff. Sam and Shannon are some of the best bartenders I know! Server staff could use a makeover…

Horrible service it took the waitress 30 minutes to get our drinks and about an hour to get our food and about an hour later of being done with our food she gives us the check. And left our card on the table next to us while she was taking someone else’s order. Oh and I didn’t get a refill.

I have been here four times and every time the food was on point. That’s the only positive thing about this place. The service is extremely SLOW!!! It doesn’t matter if the place is full or empty. The waitresses are usually rude, one time we caught the bar tender taking shots of alcohol. I wouldn’t it recommend this place.

I had the low carb burger and my son had the Cowboy burger. Both med — well and both were great. The fries were a little old and limp but still good flavor. A bother great day to hang at TAPS.

We came for lunch so that I could try our local bar&grill on the Island. It was pretty deserted except for the few locals at the bar. We sat at a high top next to the garage door opening to the patio for the indoor/outdoor feel. I got the Comeback burger, sans mushrooms — great choice! It has their house burger sauce as well as some great bacon and cheese, and caramelized onions; all on a toasted bun! Their fries are pretty great, too. My wife got a chicken wrap with a side salad and woah! What a «side salad» it was! Bigger than you’d think as a side, loaded with veggies, and topped with house made croutons. Yum. Waitress was great — Anna. She even offered us waters to go before we left. My only hold back on giving 5 stars is that I asked for my burger medium and it was cooked well done. It was still juicy, and tasted great(and I was so hungry I didn’t want to wait for a burger cooked right), but a bar and«grill» should be able to accurately grill a burger to order. We’ll be back!

Here now with the hubby. Our beers are delicious but service is ehh. She got our drinks quick but it seems like if your not a regular you dont get treated the same. The Bartender Tara is on her phone and chatting it up with the regulars.

Great food, great beer selection and great service. HOWEVER they only had the FSU/Miami game on one small crappie TV in the corner… won’t go back for Nole games

The food has gone down hill. The beer list is great. Kinda expensive for food made with cheap ingredients

UPDATE… THISRECIEWWASMISTAKENLYPUTYNDERTHEWRONGTAPS. ITSHOULDBEFORTHEONEON210, HOWEVER I AMSUREITWOULDHOLDUPFORBOTH. We love Taps! It is so much more than your typical strip mall bar and grill. In my opinion both service and food do more than just satisfy. Living in St. John’s Florida, there are not too many options to choose from for a family night out but I would choose Taps even if it was located in my old neighborhood of San Marco(full of lots of local restaurants). I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with sweet thai chili wing sauce and ranch. It was absolutely delicious! The lettuce was crispy and the tomatoes were fresh. There was more chicken than there was breading on the chicken(I feel like sometimes get this ratio backwards). The thai chili sauce was sweet with a nice kick! This was perfectly balanced by the ranch dressing. I ordered fries as my side and they appeared to be hand cut and nicely fried. I will definitely be ordering this again. My husband ordered the Philly. This was his first time ordering this as he is typically loyal to the Taps burger which he thinks is the best in town. While he did say the Philly was not as good as the burger, her was very happy with his meal. The restaurant uses white American cheese on their sandwhich which gave a nice flavor. The meat also seemed to be of good quality. The star of our meal was my daughter’s kids meal. She ordered fish sticks. We were expecting to get your typical mass produced frozen sticks but were very pleasantly surprised! These were big strips of hand breaded white fish! In the picture I am attaching I sliced one of the sticks so that you can see the quality. The tartar sauce that came with this meal was also delicious! I believe there is also an «adult» version of this meal which will be on my radar in the future. The only item that I have had from their menu that I was not completely satisfied with was the ahi tuna appetizer. I felt like it was a little«fishy» tasting. I probably would not order that again.

Just moved here and tried this place out. I sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly :) I didn’t eat there but loved the band! I stayed longer then i wanted to and enjoyed every minute of it.

Devin is awesome! He cooked our food to perfection. It was delicious and we loved it. The cook made shrimp and grits as well as a chicken bacon ranch flatbread! All of it was perfectly cooked and tasted super fresh! My girlfriend and I literally asked to speak with the chef just so we could tell him how well his food was! We go to many different local restuarants to try the orange park/jacksonville cuisine and we love writing reviews on the different restaurants, and Taps is definitely top 10 in our rankings. If you’re looking for a good bar with a great selection of food, check Taps! Also, we want to give a shoutout to the bartender Brittany, who gave us great drink recommendations, and she was a hoot! Football season is coming up guys, this is a place to be!

Medium well burger is not pink in the middle… twice! And the fries coming back tasted like they were kept under the hot light. Thank God they had the St. Louis Cardinals on the closest TV or it would be a 1 star!

I really love this place, they have great food, beer and great atmosphere. I have to say, though they may have great beers I usually find they are out of a lot when we are there which may just be bad timing. Tuesday are trivia night which is peobably one of the most entertaining Trivia spots I’ve attended, Wednesday’s is ladies night which I feel can be worked on since it seems dead a lot, Thursday’s trivia again but it’s a different host who I’m not fond of. Friday /Saturday’s I think they have live bands which are usually pretty good. Overall if you. Haven’t been highly suggest checking it out.

Service wasn’t bad, but the wide open setup made it feel like we were sitting right in front of the band when we were on the other side of the restaurant. Waaaay too loud. If you’re into loud on the weekends this is you place.

Miserable. This place needs to decide if they are a concert hall, bar or a restaurant. If they have a live band and you want to have dinner and beers with a few friends, go someplace else. At the risk of sounding like a cranky old man the band is too loud. Unless they can get the live music under control, avoid this place.

I love this place. This is our go to. I read other reviews, and I can agree with the service if you are at a table… never really had good quick service at a table. We always sit at the bar… always. Two times at tables were enough… the bar is great. bar staff is great. Food is great. I cannot say enough how relaxing it is. Yes this is an older crowd, but the place gets packed. Regular live music, trivia online, some nights live trivia. What is not to like? If their table servers were prompt, I would consider sitting at a table again… but when I go to a beer bar, I want beer and quickly! Nuff said. Kids? It is a bar and grill. Think about it! I suggest do not bring them. Most people do not, but I am sure they may be over at the tables not seen.

First of all, it’s refreshing to have a bar on the island. For nights when I want to meet someone for a drink out but not drive 30 minutes to Jax, it’s a great option. I had a frozen piña colada which was delicious, though a bit pricey(I was a bit disappointed at the lack of happy hour specials on a Saturday night). Next I had an angry orchard cider which is good as always. The bar has a great selection of beverages. However, my food was subpar. I ordered the quesadilla but it lacked enough cheese, and I consider this an unforgivable sin! It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great. My waitress seemed to be out of it. She took a long time and tried to make jokes with me that made no sense– like saying«no, because you asked» when I asked for a refill on water. I kind of became irritated at her incessant joking which made no sense to me or my company. I had a fun night out at Taps due to the good drinks and my excellent company. It’s nice if you want to stay local and still enjoy a drink. If you’re looking for exquisite food or something beyond a typical sports bar, move along.

Something has happened between March 30th and last week… new management, a new cook and new servers! Lately when someone mentions Taps I mention something else… last week I got roped into Taps because everyone else was already there for happy hour and I was on my way home from work. What a HUGE difference and I am a FANAGAIN! First off let me say that it may have had a lot to do with our server Corey. What a great guy and what exceptional service. So let’s talk about service: Before any of our glasses could be empty Corey was at our table asking if we’d like another. Usually on happy hour nights a glass of wine is skimpy but not these pours. We asked about a card on the table that indicated that they now had a loyalty program. He brought us the sign up sheets and a pen and applied a discount right there and then! Next I picked his brain about the changes… Now let’s talk about food: For the first time in many many months the orders were perfect, hot and delicious. Nothing over cooked, nothing under cooked, full of flavor, hot and not one thing wrong with the order! I asked the cook/chef’s name and was happy to hear a name other than the one that used to be in kitchen. So all in all on this visit Tap’s is back in our good graces… let’s keep our fingers crossed that they keep their consistency and we will once again bring in the groups for happy hours, weekend gatherings and visiting out of town friends and family!
