Extremely poor customer service! Large selection. Carry name brands. Sale prices are good… Don’t try to return anything! The manager will meet you at the door and ask if you have an exchange, when you say return you will get an obnoxious look. Said manager will then physically take your package out of your hand. If your receipt is in the package they will go through the package looking for it hand you the receipt, but keep the package, set it on the counter, and usher you back to the registers with your receipt while your shoes stay on the counter. I’ve returned two items to this store and both times it was the same, only with different managers. I’m sure there is a lot of theft at these big shoe stores however this particular store makes their honest customers feel like criminals and certainly treats them like they are. I have three college degrees and make plenty of money… enough that I certainly don’t have to steal a pair of shoes. I complained to the manager on the phone a few hours later… He had no sympathy, wasn’t apologetic, and basically told me that it will happen this way every time I, or anyone, returns something. I WILLNEVERSHOPATTHISSTOREAGAIN!!! In fact I told the manager this and his response was basically… «Oh, well. Ok.» I will spend my money at one of their many competitors! You should too!

Anytime I need new shoes, I always go here. They have a pretty big selection of shoes, without having to go into the numerous shops in the mall to find them. It’s just convenient I guess. if I were to go to the mall, there are multiple smaller shoe stores… and I would usually browse them all and then go back to the pair I settle on. This place is just larger and takes less time on my part. Another big plus, they always have a buy one get one half off sale… and they also have random daily deals for like 30 minutes or something on clearance shoes that make them crazy cheap. I’ve never wanted any of their cheap clearance items, but I always take advantage of the buy one get one half off deal usually buying a pair for both me and my husband. The shoes are pretty expensive, but I’m pretty sure that’s just all shoes so I really can’t complain.

I guess three stars is about right, but I’m not sure. Up to five stars because their staff was really friendly and as I was wandering the stacks and stacks of shoes I was asked a few times if I needed help. Smiles were aplenty. It was nice. As low as one star because the didn’t have the shoes I was after. And the shoes aren’t really rare. I know that the lack of stock isn’t the local staff’s fault, but they didn’t have what I wanted. So I had to leave empty-handed. So a five and a one makes for a three average.

This is the only shoe store for me. I have two growing teenagers that need good name-brand shoes. We like the BUYONEGETONEHALFOFF sales. When I need shoes I try to do it without my daughter… but most the time she ends up with a pair too. One my dogs ate my brand new shoes! Devastated, I went back to buy a new pair, and they were out of my size. I was crushed. Seeing my disappointment the manager called around and found me a pair from one of their other stores. Now that’s service! They really get my passion for shoes. Thank you Shoe Carnival, you are the BEST.

Hmmm… I thought I had been to a Shoe Carnival before, but maybe not. I didn’t remember them being so similar to a Payless! I stopped in because they were obviously having a sale with merchandise out on the sidewalk. Went on in & wasn’t too impressed. Although they had signs up with name brand merchandise, the signs did not indicate where you could find it. Of course I was there while every parent & child were searching for school shoes. I got out in a hurry! Probably a good place for athletic shoes, I think.
