Just joined Unilocal.Four years ago, ordered new glasses from this Clarkson. Tried them as my usual LensCrafters was now closed. Asked the optometrist NOT to rush my eye test. She said, «We don’t do that here.» She rushed anyway. After I returned home that first day, the salesperson I originally spoke to called me to state she forgot to charge me for some feature that I wanted that costs less than $ 6.00. She would not allow me to verbally authorize the additional, and would not let the glasses be made until it was paid, so I had to drive back eight miles in person!!! These glasses were to cost around $ 450. Took two weeks for my new glasses to come in, but they were TERRIBLE! My eyes were re-tested, new made, waited two more weeks, still not right! They tried again. In the interim, went to the next nearest LensCrafters. New glasses made in less than four days AND over a weekend. Great glasses! No problems, exactly what I wanted and paid for. Went back to Clarkson intending to ask for a refund. Before I could ask, showed my new glasses to them. They asked to examine them, then before I could ask for a refund, they offered one! But, wouldn’t refund eye test which was wrong at least two times. Filed complaint with BBB who said since I received at least a partial refund, they indicated that I must be satisfied with the result and closed my complaint. Learned Clarkson had MANY complaints, but all were supposedly resolved. Wrote a letter to Clarkson, got the remaining refunded. Then, Clarkson kept calling me to try to get more business from me. Told them to stop calling ORELSE before they finally stopped. Still get advertisements, but mark them«Return To Sender» to make someone pay to receive them. I am never going back, and will actively discourage anyone else from doing the same. Can’t list a negative star, so one star is all I can agree to. John Q
