Clean. Nice staff. And empty! The food is blah at best. Feels like all the food came out of the freezer. Several dishes tried by the four of us and all were bland. This place can not last long if they don’t make a huge change in the kitchen.

We had ordered take out from here right after they opened. Thought it was marginally ok. With that, we decided to dine in this time. Let’s start with the ambiance… With all the bright lighting, it was not really conducive to a quiet date night, or any evening dining location for that matter. It was bright like IHOP or McD. The place was virtually empty at 7 on a Friday night. That should have been a clue. Staff was friendly, but our server seemed a bit scatter brained. The sushi we ordered was very bland, to say the least. Texture and conistency was even worse. The seaweed in the rolls had the rubbery«made yesterday» texture. Yet the pricing matched that of higher end sushi restaurants. Given that we are zero for two without a foody moment we will cross this off our list. Really wanted to have a close Asian place to go to… but this sadly isn’t it.

New restaurant… Let’s try it! What a mistake. The sign read please wait to be seated. After five minutes, someone approached and said, please sit where you like. After seating ourselves, we waited ten minutes for our menus. Food was lackluster. Tasted like it came out of a plastic bag. … If you are thinking about going there… think.twice. Find another restaurant.

I couldn’t switch a ginger salad for the egg roll or soup that comes with the lunch special. Really? Their were 2 other people eating at the time and the food was not hot when served. I ordered Kung Pao chicken, which was supposed to be spicy, but had no spicy heat at all. Not too impressed.

Half off sushi rolls on Mondays and Tuesday’s and the quality is quite good. We grab it to go once per week. Can’t give them five stars yet because we’ve never dined in nor had any of their other food offerings.

Not sure why the low reviews for this place. We love it! The food is great and service quick. We used to always order from Empress of China and it would take an hour to deliver. Dragon Palace is much closer and take out orders are always ready in 15 minutes. We have eaten in the dining area as well and everyone is very friendly and service good. Completely disagree with previous review… not buffet quality at all. Nice large fresh pieces of meat in all the dishes we have had. LOVE their egg rolls and dumplings. Happy Flower Mound finally has a good Chinese restaurant!

I watched this place as it was building out and was very hopeful for a good Chinese Restaurant in Flower Mound. The inside is very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. I really feel bad about the rest of this review because they were all very friendly and helpful. The food was tasteless standard 60s americanized Chinese food. I can’t say how disappointed both my wife and I were. I’ve been trying to get her to go back and give it a second shot but so far she refuses. The food was very bland and tasteless. I had a Tofu dish and my wife had something chicken and veggies. She eat about 15% of the veggies and took the chicken home to our dogs. There was nothing wrong with it, it just tasted like plain boiled chicken. One dog ate it, the other refused. The tofu in my tofu dish was OK, but the sauce was pretty flavorless, bland, and too watery. I poured a bunch of Sriracha sauce along with some of their oil hot sauce on it and was able to eat most of it, I was pretty hungry. Typically I don’t put anything on Chinese food I like. Just FYI for everyone; I am very biased to more authentic Chinese food. I have spent a lot of time on the road, particularly in the SFO area and I often hit Unilocal for the best Chinese restaurants while I travel so I eat a ton of Chinese food and like it very spicy, flavorful and authentic. And by spicy I mean spice spicy, not hot spicy. A properly prepared dish is always just right hotness for the spices and flavor IMHO. I will try them again as they are the closest Chinese restaurant to me and maybe they will get better.

I always get excited when I see new restaurants open in Flower Mound, but this place really just doesn’t cut it. The vegetable spring rolls were very soft and oily(not a great combination). The Kung Pao Chicken had almost no flavor, and the sauce seemed watered down. I took a bite of my friend’s Sesame Chicken, and it tasted like sugary chicken nuggets. I was not impressed at all. :/ The worst part? My friend’s fortune cookie had a fortune in it and mine did not. How do you go to a Chinese restaurant and leave without a fortune? Very sad. :(

Why is the food so bad? Because it’s buffet quality. I’m pretty sure the owners and/or cooks have a history in Chinese buffet. It’s cheap buffet quality food. Their food is a bad deal. Very pricey for the quality. I’ve had better food at some buffets. The Happy Family is $ 17. They give half a tiny half lobster. Seriously tiny. The imitation crab they use are the cheap doughy kind. I’m guessing about $ 20 – 30 a case. For that $ 17, I expect at least the $ 70 – 80 a case Ichiban. Very little of the other seafoods too. The Lomein was very one dimensional. Mostly tasted like soy sauce and nothing else. The Red Curry was very weak. Not much flavor. There was very little curry broth. Not much protein. The Orange Chicken was very dry. The sauce is what you get a Chinese buffet. I don’t mind a smaller quantity for better quality. But this is ridiculous. Restaurants seem to think that residents of FloMo are dumb money bags. They give us low quality food at double the price or more. Won’t RTE.

We were excited to see a new Chinese restaurant open in FM. I went to their website several weeks ago and it said they offered delivery on it, but when I called to place an order that wasn’t the case. Ok. Like many Chinese places, the food was mediocre and overpriced. We won’t be back.

It was my first and last time eating at Dragon Palace. How can I start my review! First of all the waitress was extremely rude by saying«are you ready to order» few times and leaving the table without even asking if she could help and when I asked her for a recommendation she stated that everybody has different taste and she did not wanted to provided any feedback. After telling her that it was our first time trying the restaurant, she insisted on us ordering the most expensive item on the menu. Instead we ordered my signature appetizer plate«pork gyozas». This were not meaty at all, but full with fillers. They were horrible. Thats when we decided ordering regular plates such as mixed vegetables beef and sesame chicken, how can you go wrong with that!!! Well, do you remember that commercial«Where is the beef» because thats how it was. Not only it had no meat, but it was chewy. The sesame chicken was too sweet and made of poor quality. At the end, you can get better Asian food at the supermarket. I do NOT recommend this restaurant and I will definitely not go back! :(

Overall, I was disappointed. When we were seated the place has a stale smell. The food was below average. Based on the quality of the food it is very expensive. I ordered the yellow curry chicken. I expected it to be spicy but was very bland. The fried rice didnt appear freshly made and was a very dark brown. The service was good and the people were friendly, but they couldnt make up for the poor quality of food. We likely will not return.

I was happy to get a lead on a new restaurant for what I thought, was going to be great. Maybe I have high standards, but I don’t get how the Rock and roll«vibe» fits. Ok, I like Stevie Ray Vaughn style R&B, but cold vegetables in my Chicken and assorted vegetables dish was a major disappointment. Not to mention completely tasteless fried rice. I did ask for«fried rice» not just plain brown rice. They better get it together if hey want to stay in business, but without me, I won’t be going back.

Ordered sushi rolls to go. Very poorly made rolls. The tools would just unroll while picking up with chopsticks. Rolls too expensive for the price and quality.

We were excited to try a new place in Flower Mound for Asian food and sushi. We were very disappointed. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Basil. There was no spice and no basil. I got the fried rice. The rice was only rice that had been fried in soy sauce. No egg or vegetables. My vegetables were cooked, but still had the produce sticker on one of the pieces — a clear indication they had not been properly washed. Service was mediocre at best. We do not plan to return again.

Nice décor. Friendly staff. Food was very average. Had the Spicy Basil Chicken but the dish was more sweet than spicy. Salmon sashimi was very fresh. Others were ok. Need to give the place a second chance for sure, however.

Tonight was the soft opening of Dragon Palace and you can tell they still have areas they could improve apon however the food was well prepared. If I were to offer coaching it would be to ensure both parties at the dinner table were served at the same time. My girlfriend received and completely ate her wonton soup and her bowl picked up before I was given my sushi.
