DON’T GOHERE! I relocated to the Flower Mound area from near Chicago. Like many used my insurance to find a new dentist close by. Trusted my insurance would not send me to a «good» dentist. From my first visit they sold me on getting 2 new crowns. My experience with the 2 new crowns ended up with me having 7 mos. of intense dental pain and led me to an endodontist to complete the work they had messed up. Thankfully I found an incredbily smart endodnist after 4 mos. of his work he fixed me 2 teeth they had messed up and I no longer had pain. Of course all of this ended up costing me over $ 5000. Honestly and truly believe I never really needed the crowns in the first place. In addition had my son get braces here before all of that happened. Fought and fought with Long Prairie to refund me my son’s money for braces so I could take him somewhere else and they assured me he would have better care and that since I signed a contract I couldn’t get any of the funds back. I Made sure he never saw any of the same dentist or assistants that had done the horrible work on me. Had paid up front for his braces to recieve a 10% discount, or would NEVER have even tried to stay here. Tried to switch him to a new orthodontist, but would have cost me double since they wouldn’t refund me my money. Our family never again visited for any dental work, but thought I would try with the ortho since I couldn’t get our money back and it was a huge expense. Anyway, first year went great with an ortho named Dr.J. He was more knowledgeable and had better bedside manner than Dr. Kaneira or any of the other people working there. However, one appt. 13 mos. into his braces Dr. J informed us he was moving in 3 weeks to Virginia. From the point since Dr. J moved until now it has been HORRIBLE. That was 6 months ago. Trying now to get out of last 7 mos of his orthodontic treatment. Dr. Kaneira never hired anyone to take Dr. J’s spot which left us with only her every other Thursday limited appts. Since Dr. J left the assistants trying to do his ortho work take between 1 – 2 hrs. an appt. They have made his mouth bleed, messed up wires. etc… I could go on and on… WORSTDENTALFACILITYEVER! DON’T GO!

I went here for braces, and at first I had a great experience. I had Dr. April Kaneira, who is very knowledgable and my teeth seemed to make substantial progress. Carlos, one of the assistants, did an awesome job every time and I trusted his judgment as much as Dr. Kaneira’s. I could tell the difference in the quality of work when I had another assistant though– for example, my power chains wouldn’t be as tight or they would forget to cut the wire in the back. The assistants are very chatty and friendly, but at times I felt like it crossed a line a bit. For example, a few times my father(who I’m not close with), another patient there, was brought up and it felt close to a HIPAA issue. It made me nervous that they might be talking to him about me as well, which wouldn’t normally be an issue for a family so I can see why they didn’t think twice about it. About halfway through, I was switched to a new orthodontist. I unfortunately don’t have her name, but she is a very sweet person. However, I noticed that my teeth seemed to make less progress once I was switched over. She didn’t seem to remember me from appointment to appointment, and I had to remind her a couple times what she had said previously about our plan.

Due to a terrible experience with my last dentist, I was VERY nervous to make an appointment. But I knew I had to — I also knew it was going to be expensive and I was what every dentist doesn’t want — a new patient needing someone to fix someone else’s mistake. Dr. Zarchi was amazing. She was calm and sensitive towards me. She told it to me straight and as I got emotional she stayed calm, she stayed sensitive. I needed that. I needed to know what was wrong, how it was going to be fixed, and that there WAS a solution. My husband is not a fan of going to the dentist(general discomfort) and he to is happy to make an appt with Dr Zarchi. Cannot recommend her enough!

Recently signed up as a new patient at this office and I was definitely pleasantly surprised as to how good their staff is! They are truly patient(customer) oriented, very friendly and accommodating AND, most importantly, extremely knowledgeable. I was recommend this dental office by another of their clients — who uses Long Praire Dental for the entire family’s needs — and I can understand why. I’ll be glad to pass the recommendation on further to other presumtive clients any chance I’ll get.

Not everyone likes going to the dentist, but the staff at Long Prairie Dental makes the trip a bit better :-) I noticed they had changed the front office staff which I believe is for the better. Both receptionist that checked me and out were friendly and helped with my insurance questions on the spot. My hygienist has been cleaning my teeth for a few years now and she is so friendly. Always telling me what the plan is, if anything, different than a normal cleaning. I met a new doctor at my last visit a week ago and she was very thorough, answered my questions and I did not feel rushed. The back-office is clean and that is a top priority on my list, especially when someone is working on your mouth!
