I didn’t use their service and now I NEVERWILL. My next door neighbor needed to have a stump ground out, after hearing a strange sounding machine nearby I found that the not so good people of Eager Beaver had a four-wheeled stump grinding vehicle next door. Then it was easy to see that they wheeled this heavy machine up my driveway and then took a shortcut through my side yard in order to gain access to my neighbors backyard. The result is that I now have some ruts cut into my yard! Not acceptable. Did the employee ask for my permission to use my yard, NO Could the employee have taken this vehicle up my neighbors own driveway and stayed out of my yard. Yes, they could have but didn’t. Could the employee have taken the vehicle through the neighbors front and side yards while staying out of mine. YES, but didn’t. Had the employee taken the same vehicle up my driveway just another 30 feet he then could have entered my neighbors yard w/out doing damage in my yard. And when the employees loaded the grinder and left they did a u-turn and drove in someone’s front yard. Talk about people that just don’t care and take zero responsibility, I wouldn’t let Eager Beaver trim my nose hair muchless a tree of mine.

This would be a 2-star review if I didn’t know others who have had very good work done by Eager Beaver. First, I was disappointed that they didn’t use actual trained beavers; just guys with chainsaws. Second, I would recommend that you be there when they perform the trimming service. I had a surrogate there and was not clear enough in my instruction. As such, one of my maple trees is much higher(4 – 5 ft) than I had intended. Or, maybe they thought that when I said, «just above my head» they assumed I was 9 ft tall. Either way, the trees that were trimmed look much better, but were not to my expectation. The team did excellent work cutting down an old oak and left half a rick of wood. If I had it to do over again, I would have requested a full rick since I was underwhelmed that they barely cleared the 4ft height with a single log. Also, they cut out a couple of saplings for some unspecified and unmentioned reason that were shading my hydrangea. Maybe they were trying to be helpful, but I didn’t mention anything about cutting those. As I said, they did decent work, but I’ve seen them work better at other homes. Be there when they pull the rip cords and you’ll probably be happier than I was.
