This place is not bad but there are few improvements! Overall it’s a great small shop to eat and just hang out! Their chicken teriyaki is far best then any chicken teriyaki I have had in the past year! Chicken wasn’t dry and the sauce is on point! Price is a bit high but it’s affordable and worth! Their beef ramen and spicy ramen is good as well! And the shrimp tempura ramen is a bit on the good side!

Came here during my time at Mega Academy. Not only you tell the chef what your want, you can see a stall with appetizers as the restaurant is inside the Queens Crossing Mall. When your food is ready, they will call your number. I have also went to the one at Chelsea.

Ajisen Ramen was so much better in my memory. In my recent visit with them, I decided to dine in. They have their private little corner in the food court in Queens Crossing. The noodles were alright, they aren’t the best ramen I had. The soup was the best part about the entire bowl, though I have to admit that after a while it didn’t taste that good. The meat that I had was actually really undesirable and I left it almost untouched after my first bite. I had a seat facing their open kitchen and it was kind of unappetizing for me to see them cleaning their kitchen with a broom and splashing water everywhere. Guys. I know cleaning is important but it wasn’t even the end of the day yet so for me to see that was very unnecessary.

Tenderous Rib Ramen $ 9.5 As the name/description accurately states, it is extremely soft. There is also a lot of glutinous gelatin, the best part of meat. The broth/soup is also very good, but the meat is quite quite sweet. However, the portion is a great deal for the price. Fried calamari(well here they have it listed as «fried squid» which is what calamari is, for those who don’t know and only know it as «calamari» from restaurant menus.) $ 7 Very very good. A tad salty but fried to perfection, nice and crunchy and even good cold!

For those looking for an out of this world ramen experience, this place is not for you. However, this place has many pros such as being fast, simple, AND they take credit card. The ramen here isn’t amazing but it is good enough to satisfy your ramen craving if you’re on a time constraint. They also serve non ramen dishes if you’re into that too!

So many levels of disappointment. Ordered the ajisen deluxe ramen with miso base and the tender rib ramen. First off, what the heck?! The ramen isn’t even ramen noodles; it’s freaking spaghetti in a broth. Ramen noodles aren’t expensive. Why?! The miso soup base, which costs an extra $ 1, is the same flavor as their base stock. Pretty sure we got ripped off. There are no depths of flavor in the soup. It’s a creamy soup but not splendid enough for a ramen broth. My expectations already weren’t that high though based on other reviews here. Since it’s a food court, levels of service clearly won’t be much, but even got an attitude from the register girl when I asked where the restroom was(yes, I can clearly read the posted code for the restroom on your register. That’s not what I asked you, in your native language even. I asked where it was. There’s no excuse). Good thing we don’t have to tip since it’s in a food court! The only saving grace is that the ribs are actually delicious. This place should consider being a beef noodle soup restaurant instead. To be clear, the ribs are actually thick cut beef tendons, not ribs. No problems with seating, though quite frankly, the Queens Crossing food court hasn’t been busy in a long time now. Haven’t eaten at their other locations but I really hope this is just a case of someone offering to buy their name for business, not even a franchise. Otherwise this is utterly disappointing for a moderately well-known ramen chain. —- It has been 2 hours after the meal. I’m a little MSG-sensitive when it’s in food in large doses(we’re Asian. I expect MSG in everything). Seems like the ramen is packed with MSG. Super warm(flushing) and heart is now racing. Not so great when you need to sleep early. I didn’t find the soup to be too salty, so if the effects are from dehydration, again, that would be because of the super high dose of MSG.

For me, this ramen shop wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t particularly great either. Although this is one of the few ramen shops in flushing, I cannot help but to feel as if I chose poorly for lunch. I came to Ajisen with a friend of mine who worked nearby. I got the spicy ramen with extra charsiu. The soup felt a bit lukewarm and could have definitely been hotter. It was also a bit lacking in toppings, I could have definitely used some bamboo shoots or something else to give it more of a bite. The minced pork topping that they did use, when eaten separately was definitely cold. Since this place is one of the few ramen shops left in flushing, Ajisen definitely has the potential for growth. It’s just not there yet.

Blah sums up my experience. The food was a disappointment. I was hungry so really anything could’ve tasted good; but sadly this did not. The service was cold. The guy took my order and money but when I would ask him a question he looked confused. We ordered the shrimp tempura ramen, the seafood ramen, spring rolls and fried chicken. The ramen broth had no flavor, and the fried chicken was so dried out. I only liked the spring rolls but nothing set them apart, just a run of the mill generic spring roll. I would not venture to try this place again. Save your time and your money!

Came here a couple of times. The service is efficient and quick. I feel like the taste has changed over the time. It is definitely saltier than before. The definitely change the noodles. It looks more like pasta which is not authentic. But if you want quick lunch and have craving for so– called«Ramen». This is the place to go. The prices has definitely gone up. I would recommend this place unless you’re craving for salt and Chinese pasta in a soup.

I had their Ajisen ramen bowl and it was pretty good. Not salty, came out fast, decent amount of meat. Only cons I can think of: the guy behind the register didn’t speak English very fluently and there’s limited seating since it’s inside Queens Crossing.

3 stars, not too bad of a spot if it weren’t for the misleading Japanese-themed ramen. We ordered the beef ramen and the braised short rib ramen. Miso broth was subdued in butter with little umami and was heavier and saltier than I would like. The beef was nothing more than over-broiled bulgogi slices, too tough to chew. Considering the rising price of chicken reproductive sacs, they gave us each half a slice of egg. Sadly they abused the art of ramen eggs, by serving us a hard-boiled egg. WHERESMYSOFT-BOILEDEGGWITHOOZINGYOLKS? The ramen noodles tasted like dried spaghetti. Highlight of the visit was the short ribs, so tenderly braised and soaked in flavor. The price is fair for about 10 bucks a pop. Gotta give this place props for being around for so long inside Queens Crossing. But there’s plenty of room for improvement.

This Ajisen Ramen has been in flushing the longest. It is my to go place when I need a ramen fix. Their ramen is pretty good. I have tried almost all their ramen flavors and they all taste pretty good. I like their spicy ramen because the spiciness is tolerable. The only thing that was a turn off was the cold minced meat on top. I prefer my meat hot but it’s not a big deal since you can just mix it in the hot soup. The reason for the three stars is the eating environment. It is located in Queens Crossing Food Court therefore it shares the same janitorial/cleaning staff with the entire food court. The janitorial/cleaning staffs were loud, rude and lack manners. They complained about their job to each other for all customers to hear; they slammed trays and bowls on the counters super loud; and they complained about how the customers were messy and do not clean up. As a customer I do not want to hear that kind conversation and hear things being banged around while I am eating. I will be back here but I will take my food to go next time.

My boyfriend and I wanted to check out this place since we were around the area before checking Unilocal.I was pretty surprised to see that this place received 2.5 stars overall as we were both pretty satisfied with our meal. We shared a tenderized beef ramen, as the cashier told us that it was the most popular one. The chunks of beef in the soup was amazing! Super tender and juicy and it did not lack any flavor. The soup however had a «milky» taste according to my boyfriend but we fixed that problem after«accidentally» spilling a little too much hot sauce in there. This ramen place is definitely cheaper than the other ramen places around but still a good place to eat if you’re in the area. However, if I was given a choice/have the time, I’ll definitely be making the trip to another ramen shop in the city– especially since I can get my order of pork buns on the side.

Too salty Otherwise love their soup base for the noodles. They take all major credit cards, even AMEX !! And didn’t force me to spend over $ 20 on food to use card. :) that’s always a plus, esp. In Flushing, where it’s mostly cash only everywhere.

I got the shrimp temp ramen. The noodles were good, but I would deff get a different flavor if I ever go back. The service is okay but thank you to the gentlemen helping me with the bathroom door. I was surprised they did not have any cilantro :(.

Good Asian ramen noodles. Very interesting food . I ordered the shrimp tempura although the shrimp tempura did not have a fresh taste. The noodle soup was good.

Although the food was exceptional, the price was kind of unreasonable. $ 10 for a bowl of half filled ramen… I had a party of 3 and we ended up paying almost $ 40…for lunch. I do recommend, however, the Deluxe Ramen. That pork is bomb dot com.

I come here when I’m too lazy to travel to the city for good ramen. I’ve noticed that all the ramens have the same base: the broth, the noodles… it’s the same, except they replace the meat to whatever the name listed on menu. Ex: beef instead of default chasu or teriyaki instead of default chasu, etc. My sister comes here and orders the chicken teriyaki over rice which costs almost ten dollars after taxes.(Yes, they charge you tax). I usually order No. 1 which is the Aijisen Ramen which costs around 6.50 after tax I believe. It’s filling; nothing special or worth mentioning except the fact that the ramen is mediocre. I would suggest coming here if you’re also too lazy to travel far for ramen, it’s affordable and you get what you pay for here.
