Food is good. Good environment. Service is good too. But I think the price is too high.

The Americana Manhasset group had a wonderful evening here! We enjoyed the Brasserie du Dragon Imperial Hotpot Dinner. This was a feast of lobster, king clam, razor clam, wagyu beef, black sea bass, New Zealand lamb, chicken, Shitake mushrooms, bean curd, tofu, Romanian lettuce, and rice vermicelli, all cooked in a carved out winter melon Bowl in a bone soup base. So fun! Paired with a yummy Chardonnay, it was perfect for a crisp winter night! Food is delicious and it’s a great place for groups… tell your friends!

Delicious food. Service is very attentive. Everything is made very fresh. There is a slight wait for the dishes to arrive– be patient for its fresh hot the stove. Things are not overly greasy, saucy. Flavored just right. I would come back again. The price is high in comparison to regular flushing 5.99 soup pots. But this is exquisite — fine dining. Place is adorable!!! I WOULDBEBACK.

This is the best place ever for social gathering when you are also looking with professional setting. I always come here for business lunch or dinner as this place never fails me. The food is extremely unique with a very special twist with each dish. If you are looking for that special ambience along with that professional service than this he place to be. Great job on the menu and staffs!

This is one of those rare moments of absolute happiness in a review. I was AMAZED at how great of an experience the Du Dragon offered. I was only at the hotel because it’s close to the airport, and had to be up at 3 am for my flight. I chose the restaurant instead of venturing out because it started snowing, and really from good d fashioned laziness. I have never been so happy with my lazy ways!(Well maybe once when I convinced someone to hand me a remote 1 foot away, but this is a close second). I ventured down to the restaurant and was greeted, seated, and served tea immediately. The service was phenomenal. They make your tea at the table as you will read from other Unilocalers. A table in the vicinity of my table was having something cooked over an open flame at their table, I think it was duck, it smelled amazing. I chose to start off with the crab and corn soup. It was silky and the corn complimented the crab very nicely. Tons of crab in it too. My main course was the Chilean sea bass with San pei sauce. It was cooked perfectly. And I mean perfect. Literally melted in my mouth. It came with asparagus and I had brown rice on the side. I ordered the bass to be indulgent, but I’m pretty sure it was very low in fat and calories as well. So indulgent in 2 different ways. There are literally a thousand places to eat in this area, but if you want to get fancier than the food carts and fried wonders, check this place out. Fantastic!

Nice quiet place for good Chinese food and decent service. In this day and age of rude and and noisy Chinese restaurants of chaotic NYC, Brasserie du dragon is a refreshing change. It may be pricier than most other Chinese restaurants and portions are smaller but the quality of the food and the experience is much better– plus they also offer free parking validation. I’ll likely return there to eat again.

Just had dim sum at this restaurant today. The dim sum was fantastic. The décor was beautiful. The service was great. I would definitely dine here again.

Delicious. We were in the mood for a light meal while out running errands and saw«Hong Kong Style» and knew this would hit the spot. Their all day dim sum menu is a little limited but everything is incredibly fresh and the pea shoot/crab dumplings are something I could eat all day. The location is a little strange as you’re essentially in the atrium of a mall, but the food makes up for it.

A little pricey but totally worth it if you like to have a quiet meal with your family on weekends in the busy town of Flushing. Taste: Food is great, not too salty unlike most Chinese restaurants they do not load up on salt. Not oily either. Presentation: great! They have porcupine meat bun, piggy cream bread and hello kitty bun(didn’t try Hello Kitty). Tea: If you a serious tea drinker you will be disappointed. Even though they have a nice candle below the teapot keeping the tea warm/hot, they also uses flower(mainly rose) water to brew their tea. Therefore whatever you drink will have that flowery scent. Selection: Not much! holding off that star because the selection isn’t big on dim sum. Hopefully they will have more in the future.

This place is perfect for a quiet leisurely dim sum brunch. The service was impeccable and the wait staff was attentive. The tea: was kept warm over a candle Water: choice of lemon or strawberry infused Wagyu beef was just okay for the amount of fuss(cooked next to a table over charcoal). Probably won’t order it again. Spring rolls, spare ribs, stuffed peppers, and eggplant were all delicious. The Singapore noodles were blah because the shrimps were bland and flavourless. The crispy duck rolls were fine. Nothing to call home about. Will definitely go back to try other items on their menu.

What a great surprise! In the middle of Flushing’s Chinatown and surrounded by what seems like hundreds of Chinese restaurants of all varieties, Brasserie du Dragon is an upscale gourmet Chinese restaurant that truly stands out in a crowd, despite its hard-to-find location in the basement of the Sheraton LaGuardia Airport hotel.(It was easy for me to find because I was staying at the Sheraton and the front desk folks recommended it.) Serving a limited dim sum menu all day(and night) along with a full menu of appetizers, entrees and desserts, it’s a great place to enjoy a peaceful, elegantly & attentively served meal with very delicious food. I did not have the chance to try any of the main entrée offerings as I was determined to sample the dim sum and appetizers — something I can’t get at home. Everything was delicious, fresh, hot, beautifully presented and served with a flourish. The meal began with a cart offering a choice of strawberry or lemon ice water and a selection of teas made fresh at your tableside. I chose the Oolong tea which was delicious. My meal consisted of 2 dim sum selections(«Shao Mai» and«BDD Shrimp Dumplings»), and 2 appetizers — a spectacular Sesame Shrimp Toast with Foie Gras(I wish I’d taken a picture) and yummy Crispy Duck Rolls. My mouth didn’t want to stop eating but I simply ran out of stomach room. I will most definitely be back and will try valiantly to skip all the dim sum and try the entrees. It’s a bit pricey compared to run-of-the-mill restaurants in the neighborhood but, in my opinion, well worth the price, especially if you take the outstanding service into account. Highly recommended.

If you need a hideaway from the third busiest pedestrian corridor in all of New York that is downtown Flushing, you need to step into the Sheraton hotel and try BDD. I was told the place just underwent a $$$ renovation with new menus and new style. I was skeptical if they really had been able to step it up a notch but my dining companion was curious so here I am. Glad to report that I am now happy and full and that the only downside is that it is so calming here that you just keep eating, talking and forgetting that you are in the middle of downtown flushing, but still eating dishes that equal or better those than dishes from some of the best restaurants in Flushing. The $ 29 wagyu steak was a highlight as it melts in your mouth and was actually enough for the two of us to share and be very happy. I also got my parking validated so now I have room for(more) dessert.
