I came here with my friends after Kbbq. I wanted to come here for a while based on the reviews and the pictures. This place is pretty spacious and I saw some people getting their work done. I got the the counter and ordered the iced melon bc the pictures made it look so good. When I got the iced melon, oh boy was it heavy and big. The melon wasn’t sweet at all. It was almost tasteless. Inside the melon contains shaved ice, mochi, red bean and red bean ice cream. Those were delicious to eat. My friend got the waffle. It was ok. It could’ve been more fluffy. Overall, it’s a nice place to have conversation w friends. FYI, the discount don’t work anymore. They need to take it off.

i will go straight with this review. Pros — this café is very unique and has a really nice music that matches with the theme and color of the café. also, workers are really nice! they say hello in Korean first and English after. they serve really nice coffee and they make it quick. Cons– Customers are always a con for me. I personally saw one customer throwing money to worker. It was sooo rude of her to do that. Also, people who complains about seats were rude. they were yelling towards the. Workers… one little issue for me was a seat. This place is bombed with lots of people everyday…

I came here on a Saturday afternoon to get some work done before dinner. The location is great and parking was a cinch. The storefront is very obvious so you can’t miss it. The floor is very spacious while housing plenty of seating which is a very nice change from every other coffee shop where you have to hunt for seats like prey. The first thing I noticed was the overflowing trash. I have worked in several food and beverage establishments and I have never seen anything this gross. That same trash stayed overflowing the entire time I was there(about 2 hours and change). I ordered my iced coffee with soy and went ahead to grab a seat. I was tempted to order one of the few varieties of Junior’s cheesecakes they had out, but then I noticed that they had some of the boxes sitting out on the display and it just didn’t look appetizing anymore. We only ordered an ice coffee and a tea but our order took longer than I expected, especially since there were 2 baristas and no line. When my $ 3.50 ‘iced soy coffee’ finally came, it tasted just like a cup of iced soy milk with a little coffee flavoring– which was so terrible I ended up throwing out the entire thing after only a few sips. I really wanted my coffee but it was a huge disappointment. I went to the restroom and it was very dirty– it looked like the counters and floor had never been cleaned. I was so careful to touch as little as I could, that I failed to notice that there was no hand soap anywhere to be found. Instead of hand soap, I found some paint! That didn’t help me feel any better about leaving the restroom without a proper hand wash though. I went back to my seat to try to work, but the obnoxiously loud top 40’s music playing really just ended up giving me a headache. We even moved our seat to try to get farther away from the speakers but it didn’t help too much. The main dining room in the back has terrible acoustics and everyone’s conversations are amplified. I really wanted to like this place because a bunch of my friends recommended it. I don’t know, maybe my visit was a complete fluke? I just don’t understand how they could serve such terrible coffee with sub-par service in a dirty facility on a Saturday. I might try them again if I’m in the area and the 10 other coffee shops around are full or closed… but the bf has definitely sworn off the place for good.

Stumbled in here with a group after a large amount of Soju at Picnic Garden. Ordered a belgian waffle and a caffe latte. They were closing in 10min but still served the drunken lot of us like it was business as usual, HUGE respect for that, as I would have thrown in the towel after seeing our group charge through the door! Waffle came out quickly, was absolutely delicious and caffe latte was rich and bold. Café itself was clean with plenty of tables and outlets should you bring along your laptop. I would definitely go back. Food was excellent, and some of the most patient and attentive staff you will ever run into. Oustanding establishment all around!

10% off deal is no longer valid. They should just take it off Unilocal if they’re not gonna let us use it. Ordered the earl grey latte and it was okay. But my friend got the green tea latte and said it was too much matcha powder. Cute place to sit and do some work, if only the cashier was nicer and the drinks tasted better.

I’ve been to this same location before and the parking situation remains difficult. That aside, I got the melon ice cream bowl with vanilla ice cream. I believe I got green tea last time and remember that to be better. Last nights dessert was a tad dissappointing. Under the top scoop of ice cream is an entire layer of flavorless shaved ice so I kept trying to mash some of the vanilla with it for some flavor. Little did I know(or remember) that the bottom is filled with red bean, peanuts an mochi. By now everything had melted and became soupy-not impressed. Still a great spot to chill and chitchat, I would return purely for convenience.

A well-lit hidden korean café located off the main road near Flushing. I came here one day with a girlfriend to try their infamous melon patbingsoo. I came in on a weekend afternoon and it seemed fairly empty. Caffeine fix is a huge space with some seats in the front and more bench seating in the back. When we got to the counter, we ordered the melon patbingsoo with a scoop of green tea ice cream and a fruit smoothie. Once you pay for your order, you get a buzzer and you can sit down and relax while waiting for them to fix up your order. The patbingsoo looked bigger than I thought. They scooped out some of the inner meat from the melon for you to enjoy by itself. However, after we ate some of the ice cream, we realized there isn’t much to the shaved ice other than the melon, ice cream, some red bean and the ice. You’re quite honestly paying for the novelty of having your shaved ice served in a melon bowl. The fruit smoothie we ordered also tasted artificial and overly sweet. Sadly, we were unable to finish our order even though we are big dessert eaters. Would I come here again? Probably not. There are many new cafes opening up all over Northern right now offering the same type of food with similar ambiance. I probably would try out various cafes before I ever consider coming back.

The location of this store is kind far off away from Flushing and unless you owe a car or you’re specifically around that area, I don’t think much people would know about this place. The majority of the people who were here(from what I observed) were Korean people(of all ages) who just come, order a coffee/latte/etc to sit and chat. I definitely agree with them that this is a good place for sitting a long time and chatting with friends. The interior design of this café is also very upscale and decorative. I came around Xmas time, and hence, there were many Xmas decorations(very photogenic!). There was a pretty, little Xmas tree. There is also free wifi in this place. So that plus the fact that you can stay here for a long time to talk gives it a thumbs up. In regards to the food and the drinks, beware that everything here is rather steeply priced compared to something you could get of the same value and taste else where! A drink can cost anywhere from $ 4 up. Their desserts are also very expensive(in my opinion). I came with friends and ordered the honeydew bingsu. It was pretty when we first got it, at least for the first second. When we began to dig into it, it turned out that a lot of the melon had gone to waste or was uncarved when it clearly could have been consumed and eaten. This dessert is only good for a short amount of time because after some time, the ice and ice cream inside starts to melt and it all becomes one big watery mess. It’s like flavored milky water with bits and chunks of ice here and there. I also thought that the honeydew fruit was not that fresh as you could obviously tell that the melon had been bruised through and through on the exterior. It’s alright but not for the price that you pay. Gulping it all down and then realizing that you wasted $ 13 – 14 on that watered down dessert makes it hard to swallow down. Unless I’m in the area again, I don’t plan to make a special trip out.

Honestly not recommending this coffe shop. Food and drink are pricey comparing to other Korean coffe shop. Discount is not usable when we pay. Wild Burberry iced tea($ 3.75) — just like water Iced Greentea latte($ 5.35) — Starbucks maybe better than this Extremely bad service, the staff is rude. I just want to relax and chill in a coffe shop after a day of work, but turn out feel more depress because of the service. Even not worth one star for having drink here…

Had a good experience here, shaved ice was satisfying and iced melon is a must try; Visually appealing, fun to eat and great for melon lovers. Not too sweet but still fulfills a sugar fiend’s cravings.

Awesome place to just hangout and chill and enjoy the snacks. Ive been here a few times and every time I have been there, it is always clean and friendly with a good amount of seating. This little café has free wifi. The password is printed on the receipt. There is also a decent amount of outlets here for you to bring your laptop. The bathrooms are clean so you can stay for the while here. The Bingsoo is pretty expensive for what it is. But it is prepared pretty well and fresh. It does take some time to prepare, so be warned about the wait here. The bingsoo is a decent size for sharing. It seems like it was made for 2 – 3 people. I havent actually had any of the coffee or tea here. Despite the place being called Caffeine Fix, I’ve only had the dessert here. Ice cream, macaroons, and the bingsoo.

A great place to grab dessert! Or maybe Netflix and chill! A lot of stuff to choose from. Anything from coffee to shaved ice and everything in between. I’ve been here twice and each time got a different shaved ice. The ice is very different from most other shaved ice places. I good different. The Oreo shaved ice is very unique. Never seen anyone put Oreo on ice. Definitely a must try for an Oreo lover. I also got the red bean shaved ice which was amazing! All shaved ice come with mochi and red bean on the side. I’ve never tried their coffee or anything else but I see everyone else get it and everything looks great. I’m hoping to try more in the near future. The only downside I would say is that it’s very hard to find parking around this area and its in a kind of secluded shopping center off northern blvd. Another thing that was kind of annoying was the wait time for our order. Each time we order a shaved ice, it would take about 15 – 20 mins to get. I mean, to me that seems like a long wait for shaved ice with a few toppings. But it is definitely worth the wait! So what are you waiting for? Go go go! Ps. Free wifi +1 star

Came here with friends for dessert after dinner and I thought it was alright. It’s tucked away on a street off the hustle and bustle of Northern Blvd but it still seems pretty popular. Korean dessert places are usually well decorated but I found Caffeine Fix’s décor to be rather bland. It seems kind of run down and the tables are not spic and span. No table service too which was a bummer. After we ordered and sat down, we had to go back up to the counter just to pick up our food. The desserts were ok though and worth the price. We got: Honey toast– So delicious! The bread was still warm and had a very light honey taste to it that wasn’t too sweet. The whipped cream on topped complimented the toast very well. Very berry waffle– Not the best waffle I’ve ever had but still pretty good. I really liked the maple syrup drizzle that comes along with the waffle because it wasn’t too sweet and added great flavors to the waffle. The scoop of chocolate ice cream on top also complemented the waffle very well but the fruits were sour :( Ice melon– Their most famous dessert but I found it to be a big disappointment. The honey dew melon balls were very hard and bland. Green tea ice cream was alright. I think it’s supposed to be a patbingsu in a carved melon but all that was in the melon was a puddle of milk and a few mochi pieces with red bean. I was really excited to finally get to try out this dessert but it was a major letdown… I would say there are better Korean dessert places in this part of Flushing like Café Bench and Cocohodo. The décor/service of Caffeine Fix just didn’t work for me and the desserts didn’t really wow me either. While I did think that the honey bread was a standout, the ice melon, which they are known for, was bad. Overall, nothing really special about this place.

I always come here just for the Ice melon. If you love honey dew, ice cream, red bean, and mochi, you should definitely try. They cut up half a honey dew and scoop out the melon into balls. The extra ones are on the side and under the big ones are the red bean, mochi and shaved cream. You can also choose your flavor for ice which vary from green tea, red bean, vanilla and chocloate. The price for this is about $ 13 but after tax about $ 15. It’s a bit pricey but dessert is all about the same price. It is a nice café to just get coffee and chill also.

Wow this place is so meh. I judge the service pretty highly next to the food/drinks they offer and let me tell you, the service here sucks. I’m not bashing on Koreans as a whole(I’m Korean and love my fellow Koreans) but damn, the Korean workers here suck. Rude and arrogant. Anyways, I’ve been here multiple times but don’t frequent the place because they’re seriously nothing special. Sure, the mango bingsoo is Instagram worthy but that’s all it’s good for. The place sells ice cream by the scoop: one scoop is $ 2.50, two scoops are $ 4.50(?), and so on and so forth. Is it worth it? No. Next, the peppermint mocha is nothing I’d go out my way for. Also, I’ve tried the mojitos as well but don’t remember my thoughts on that one. The only thing that would make me intentionally come back is if I’m in the area and am desperately in need of WiFi or if my phone is dying and I need an outlet.

I heard amazing things about Caffeine Fix, but I was disappointed. We got the Melon Bingsoo to share, and it seems like we mostly ate melon and very little shaved ice. Presentation was on point, but they definitely skimped on shaved ice essentials(red beans, chopped fruit, rice cake). AND the doors were kept open, and I was feasted on by mosquitoes the entire time. It was very uncomfortable. If I ever go back, I’ll try getting something more standard.

Very cute and yummy desserts(This is a Korean style café). There is good amount of seats and is very clean for the most part. All the employees are male and they all seem very polite. It is a good environment to study or to have coffee and tea with your friends. The Melon Bingsoo is the best!(Honeydew lover here). The wait time for them to prepare it is at least 15 minutes because they freshly scope it out and puts shave ice in it. A tip my friend gave me was to not choose green tea flavor ice cream because it is the authentic type of green tea(bitter) so we chose Vanilla. We also got the waffles which is okay. We wanted to try their other desserts but we were full that day so next time. I wish they had chain/franchise location closer to Brooklyn or Manhattan. I would definitely come back if I have time or if I was nearby.

Came here for dessert after lunch… not so packed for a weekend. I was surprised to see so many outlets when I first walked in… very useful! We ordered the Melon Bingsoo. it took a while to get it and the place wasn’t that crowded. When we got it, it was just enough for the four of us! would have been too big for two. The melon was good but the best part was the condensed milk .mmm! The dessert was $ 15, not bad when you can share it among four. I would come back next time to try the other desserts but glad I tried one of their most popular items, it did not disappoint!
