Came here on a Saturday afternoon. This place had maybe about 3 or 4 tables. Fairly empty for such a big place Ordered their seafood jjajangmein and their seafood tofu jjamppong. Food took about 40 mins to come out. And there were only 3 tables. The jjajangmein was quiet delicious. Not overly sweet or soggy like other places. And the sauce was very flavorful. I would say one of the better jjajangmein in the neighborhood Seafood tofu jjamppong was good as well. But not the best I had for sure. Overall, food took too damn long to come out. .don’t think I’ll be back to this one

This place does Korean-Chinese food, meaning jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, sweet and sour beef, chicken with garlic sauce, etc. The actual location of this restaurant seems almost cursed – I can recall a few restaurants trying and failing at this spot over the last few years. Strange, since it’s a relatively high foot-traffic area, near the Broadway LIRR stop. To be fair, it is practically right under the LIRR overpass on Northern. Anyway, hopefully Duck Young Loo(DYL) does better than its predecessors. I ordered jjajangmyeon and sweet and sour beef, and tried the jjamppong my dining partner ordered. The food took a long time to come out considering we were one of just two tables in the restaurant on a slow weekday evening. Not a good omen for the restaurant’s business prospects, unfortunately. The food was good, what I would consider average quality for a Korean-Chinese restaurant in Queens. The jjanjangmyeon sauce was not overly sweet, which is a big pet peeve of mine. The seafood in the jjamppong was fresh and generous. Unfortunately, DYL is a little too far away for me to want to make the trek out here regularly, and I don’t think the food is worth going out of your way for. However, if DYL is in your hood and you’re looking for a decent Korean-Chinese dinner/takeout to satisfy a craving, you could do worse.
