When I first realized how bad my carpal tunnel was… the specialist at NYHQ recommended occupational therapy; but the packet they gave me to call various locations just didn’t perform that particular therapy I needed. So when I accidently stumbled upon this location while visiting another doctor in the Queens Crossing building, I was beyond thrilled ! It’s not a huge office, but it’s one of the warmest and welcoming spaces I’ve been in in the last 20 years. Josephine is so nice and friendly, her staff matches her enthusiasm and kindness. None of my appointments felt cold, it felt more like I was dropping in on a friend the more I visited(2x a week as recommended) lol. I get allergic to most things very easily, so Josephine custom made a splint for my arm. :) My symptoms have been less severe thanks to their care. They provide therapy from the shoulder to the hand, if not the neck too I think.(check with them) And they speak Mandarin, Canto. and I did hear some Spanish happening too during my many visits. Love you guys !! :D Thanks for everything !!

I am a patient from Focus Occupational Therapy. I had an open fracture on my forearm. When searching for an Occupational Therapist, my mother and I had trouble finding one in Queens. This therapy stood out to us. After finally meeting with the therapists, some time has passed by so I have adapted to the way my arm worked and moved, even though it was a bit different from the other arm. I still wanted to attend the therapy to see if it is possible for it to return back to normal. While attending Focus Occupational Therapy, my therapist, Winnie, was amazing during this process. In my mind, I believed my arm wouldnt return to normal; however, Winnie was determined that I was capable of making it return to normal. She always thought of new excerices, new stretches, all unique just for me and helped me anyway she could. Because of the time that passed by before I joined therapy, my arm was reluctant to return to normal. Therefore, of course, like Winnie is, she constantly kept thinking of ways to help me. Then, I received JAS, a machine that will help to stretch my arm to the fullest. JAS has helped me a great deal! Now, my arm is feels about 90% back to normal, and I definetly would not have been able to get this done with any other therapist in Queens or Manhattan. Winnie helped me mentally and physically believe I could get my arm back to normal and thats probably what helped me survive during this process. Additionally, she was a wonderful women, always willing to share her past experiences with me, and was always willing to listen to my stories as well! Overwell, I am super satisfied with Focus Occupational Therapy, their service was great; it felt like home when I walked in. Thank you so much!
