Pros: not all the way in flushing if you’re driving in from queens/Long Island Cons: bland(original) soup base. At first I thought this would be a pro since sometimes the spices gets stuck to the noodles, however this was not the case at all. Some of the sauces(especially the peanut sauce) are watered down and very oily, so I wasn’t able to spice up the food that was bland due to the bland soup base. You don’t get any noodles or eggs in the set so you have to order everything else separately. For the sets, you get more meat if you order the chicken set. The beef set had less meat than the chicken. Honestly this place reminds me of Minnie’s in flushing, except that Minnie’s gives you more food and is cheaper. For the amount of food that you get and the amount that you’re paying for it, you might as well drive the extra 10 minutes to Flushing and eat from a place there.

What kind of name is that? It’s obscene. And pay to cook my own food? I walked into this place with my wife as we love to try new restaurants. However F.U.Okay was drab inside and the help looked at us as if we were from another planet. We Felt very uncomfortable and not welcome(like their name says) so we left immediately. Plenty of other friendly places with no obscene named inuendo on their front door for us to partake in. Next!!!

This hotpot place is OK, in my opinion. This was one of the places I’d frequent after first being introduced to hotpot and I was a big fan. But after trying other hotpot places in the Queens area, Fukuoka has fallen out of my favor. They have a good variety of soup bases. A particular plus is that their spicy herbal bases have the peppercorns strained out unlike some other places I’ve tried. I don’t think anything is worse than biting on a peppercorn in the middle of your meal; it ruins the rest of the experience! The bases have an additional charge with one of them being as much as $ 4 extra. This seems excessive especially when I don’t really taste a difference in quality. The sets are adequate. It comes with a lot of leafy vegetables which I enjoy but no noodles, which many other places usually offer. There’s maybe 3 fish balls, taro, squash, and a few other things(but just 1 of those things). The fatty beef is of good quality and quantity. Probably the only part of the experience I enjoyed, but enjoyed thoroughly, was their sauce bar. This place has the best barbecue(shacha) sauce I’ve ever tasted! It really makes a big difference for me as a lot of flavor comes from your dipping sauce. Overall I think this place is slightly overpriced. Other hotpot locations I’ve been to are able to offer more at a lower price point. It’s an adequate restaurant with some aspects that are good(which is why I don’t wanna give fewer stars) but not enough to convince me to come here again, especially with so many other hotpot places to choose from.

Always love this place for hotpot! Was a fan of their Flushing/Kissena location and now they open up right by my house. Walking distance too! Makes me super duper happy! I love hotpot and this place is always the best when I don’t feel like cooking. Everything about it is the same as their Kissena location and never disappoints me. Prices are great and their sauce station is awesome. Food is always fresh! :) You had my heart and will have my heart!

Absolutely loveeeeee! BESTHOTPOTEVER! We used to go to the one on kissena but after they opened this one, it’s so much more convenient! Extremely clean! Superb service! Awesome food/drinks! Great selection of soup, side dishes and main entrees. If you like hot pot, you NEED to come here. Parking lot in the back. Stamp cards for every meal(buy 10, get 1 free).

I took my wife-who is Chinese-here for Valentines Day. We come here often, as much as 5 times per month, and have always enjoyed it. Not this time! We arrived shortly before 9PM, plant of times as the close at 10. The woman manager, who we’ve never seen before, shouted across the room that the«Kitchen was Closed» even as staff were coming out with food for guests that had just sat down. It wasn’t just her outright lie that annoyed me. It was the fact that she was so unbearably rude-perhaps she has no clue on how to behave? I’m making a point of going by and talking to management about how we were treated. Such a business that has so much to offer needs to learn about service.

Excellent service. Fun to make one’s own soup. I have tried the seafood, chicken, lamb, beef. The secret is to put the correct condiments in your soup and to regulate the temperature of the soup while cooking(staff help w this). Parking in the rear. Lots of vegetables, so a very healthy fun meal.

It’s hard to beat this shabu shabu place with individual hot pots that you can dip your meats into. It’s a good deal in terms of price regardless of what you choose. Try their prime beef, clams, and fish balls. I only wish they had fresh fish paste. The service is fast, friendly, and helpful. Parking is ample in the lot in the back or on the street.

This is just as good as their Kissena Blvd location. Then again, I mean it’s hot pot it’s kind of hard to mess it up. Couple things to note. There wasn’t any glass noodles included with their regular staple items(my mom told me it has gotten very expensive the last couple years). Also there’s like no egg anymore. But I understand, it has no bearing on my experience. Food came quickly. Service was fast as usual. Place is nice and clean. Parking is very ample in this area. after 7pm. There IS a private lot in the back, you have to go AROUND the entire line of shops tho. Stay on Springfield, hang a right at the end AFTER all the shops and drive back up.

It’s not too bad here. There is a parking lot which is pretty convenient. The servers are attentive. There is plenty of food without ordering the side dishes IMO(but then again, I have a small stomach) There are a good selection of sauces there. The only downside is, compared to other hot pot places, this place isn’t above-amazing food.

This place is great for hotpot, what a great find. The location is easy to find, right off the LIE exit for Springfield Blvd. The menu has a large selection and combos to choose from, we got seafood olen pot and combo meat pot. The restaurant was clean, the food came out fast and fresh, and the service was friendly and welcoming. I really liked this place and am glad that this was my friends first hotpot experience.

We love shabu and this place right around the corner so why not? Well, I tell you why NOT. The prices seem cheaper than competitor’s at first but it’s not. You get much less than Minni’s in Flushing so you have to order additional items which are priced much higher. I feel the sauce bar did not have as much choices. Also they charge«share» fee bringing little ones will also add up on the bill! Went here with high hopes but sadly we will not be back.

Love this place more and more each time I come. This is the first time at this location and the food is awesomeness as usual: D today I had the original herb for the first time with the seafood combo yum yum. My bf had the seafood and fatty beef combo with original herb, too. I think the original herb complements anything. It’s tastes traditional. We ordered a side of lean beef(why he chose it beats me, I’m for team fatty beef) and sweet rice brown cakes. Ahh so good. The cakes were softer than I remembered. The portion size of the seafood prolly would have been perfect for me if I didn’t have the other meats and side dishes. I saved my seafoods for lastish. I was full halfway through but I kept eating because I’m gna eat the money I spent okk. I’m that person. The blue crab was good. I really love using the crab shell as a bowl to sip soup. I think it carries a not crabby flavor. I would spoon up some broth into the shell and drink it from there. I’m also that person. My sauce was bomb again :3 I think BBQ May be the key ingredient to making the sauces super tasty. I also added the soy and spicy garlic sauce(?) this time. I love playing with the options. The passion fruit green tea is really good! On the sweet side and kinda tangy. I love both location equally because each location has their pro and cons. Pro for this location is that it is closer to my bf’s. Con is that it closes at 10ish which is a HUGE pro for the other place cuz it closes at like 1AM(on a weekday!). Parking is in the lot behind the restaurant.

I will definitely be back! I am a huge hotpot and shabu shabu fan and this place did not disappoint. True, there are not many parking spots out front but lucky I came at a off lunch hour(3 pm?) and I was able to find a decent spot not too far. They have great choices and the portions are pretty good. I typically do not like chicken but they were sliced thin and definitely my next order. I am a big veggies fan and although the individual portions are great, I wish they have more spinach and mushrooms. I did like the pumpkin. Mm The sauce bar is very very nice! Windows are foggy because of the steam but it’s not a bad thing. The service was excellent and everyone was smiling and we received excellent service It can get a little loud if there are big parties as people tend to catch up but that’s not the restaurants fault. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars from me is because the extras are not the best portions for the price. Although fresh, we wished we got a little more fish balls

Great location right next to LIE. I don’t have to venture out to Flushing for some good shabu shabu anymore. I think this is the second location, as the first one is on Kissena Blvd in Flushing. There’s a parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking in the front. I went on a Monday night and there were plenty of seats. It’s pretty spacious and can fit large groups. The menu is pretty straightforward, but definitely order a combo to avoid paying the extra $ 2.00 for soup. I ordered the shrimp(4 pieces) and beef combo which came with a plate of vegetables and chicken broth soup. They don’t give an egg, but they do give lettuce, taro, yam, fish balls, and tomatoes. The shrimps were actually larger than other places but they were not cleaned properly. The intestines were still there after I peeled off its shell. The combo was $ 14.95 and most of the choices range from $ 12 – 16. Service is OK. I had to ask the waiter twice for glasses of water and he only came back to provide refills once we asked for the check.

Great location off Horace Harding Expressway and Springfield Blvd. This is the 2nd location as the original one is on Kissena Blvd in Flushing. A big plus is for this location is a shared rear parking lot and there is plenty of street parking available. The place is clean the staff and management are very polite and multilingual, Most major cards are accepted, with the exception of American Express. The beef, lamb and chicken are thinly sliced so cooking times are reasonably fast. The combo dinners are a great way to explore the variety of different cuts of meat and seafood. I recommend you order the Udon hot pot with your choice of chicken, fish or beef. The Udon pot comes filled with noodles, nappa cabbage and your choice of meat, If you’re really into Udon, this is cheaper than ordering the Udon as a side dish. The orders are not huge, but price wise, it’s reasonable. Order up to your hearts content, or until your doctor says you need«Lipotor» :) The condiment and sauce station have a nice variety. The table and seating are comfortable. One word of caution. All the tables have the controls for the hot pots on the end of the table. This makes the people sitting at the end, «controllers» of all the hot pots for that table. So If you like to play with the controls constantly, then sit at the end, you now are literally the master manipulator of the controls! Try some of the fresh squeezed juices and bubble drinks. We had the green tea passion fruit and mango drink, it was pretty good. Go early before 6PM is best, by 7PM take a number, stand around and wait and wait. The great thing about having your number finally called is you feel like you just won«BINGO» at a church meet!

New location right by the Long Island Expressway. Corner location, clean(since it’s newly renovated). A good selection of Hot Pot List(Owner is Taiwanese). So you may see some dishes that they have here and not other places. Each person must order a COMBO(or a meat dish) Otherwise they will charge you $ 2.00* for the Sauce Fee and $ 2.00* for Sharing fee Combo meals are between $ 11.00 — $ 16.00(comes a side dish of Veggies, plain chicken soup base pot. meat of your choice). If you want different flavor of soup base there is also extra Charge of $ 2.00* Service is pretty attentive(they come every 2 – 3 minutes to check if we are doing ok or need to refill the soup or water). At the end of the meal, we were not surprise by this place. 2 Adults, 2 Kids = $ 90.00(including tips and the 4 combo). They take Credit Cards. * = Everything seems to be inexpensive, but Adding sides and soups and sharing is not worth it.

I’ve been stalking their construction for the past month since I live locally. I was ecstatic when I recognized the ugly green awning they were installing. No more hot pot cleanup at home! I can literally roll in with my PJs and have dirty dishes be someone else’s problem. They finally opened over the weekend and we made time to come in today. This restaurant is run by the same owners as the one in Flushing on Kissena. They took over this location which used to be Bayside Chicken for the longest time, next to the GNC that has been around even longer. We came in around 7:30pm and were seated immediately. It filled up quickly after we sat down, with people lining up to wait. No complaints on the food. Our orders came out very quickly and the quality is fresh. They have a full menu of bubble tea drinks as well, but we didn’t order any so I can’t say if it’s good or not. This location has a huge plus. The bathrooms are clean! If you’ve ever been to the other location, you’d know what I’m talking about. Dirty small closets should never be converted into bathrooms. It’s just not right. Fukuoka, I’m so happy you came to Bayside! Welcome to the neighborhood. :)
