As always I read the reviews people have posted to a place I want to review to see if perhaps I am off base with my review. As I see the only negative reviews have to do with the billing practices at another location not this one, I am assured that my opinion of Dr. Patel will be spot on.
I am diabetic and suffer from neuropathy. Add to this that I took a nasty fall down some stairs and injured my ankle. The pain was too much so I looked up podiatrists in the area and found Dr. Patel.
He not only addressed my injured ankle but suggested many new option towards treating not only my neuropathy but my diabetes as well. His bedside manner is excellent and he really cares about his patients. I see others before and after my visits and they are always in good cheer, which truly speaks highly of a doctor.
I am not pain free, but Dr. Patel has so far gotten me to a point where it is indeed manageable. I can now sleep at night. That itself has made my life 10 times better.
A good Doctor, and a good person as well.

Dr. Patel is very nice and a great doctor but there are many good doctors in New York City and it’s not worth dealing with his office. They are cash only and charge you upfront even if you have insurance. So I made three trips to the ATM and paid for the visit and services. They billed my insurance and Aetna actually notified me that they had overcharged me (gotten paid by me and Aetna, essentially double dipping). So Dr. Patel gives me the sad story of how doctors have to do that or poor doctors never get paid. I don’t want this nice doctor to not get paid so whatever. They reluctantly agreed to apply the overcharged amount to my follow up visit. So, they submitted the follow up visit to the insurance, applied the credit and sent me a bill for $ 39. Again, I mailed a check because they still don’t take credit cards and in the time it takes the USPS to get the check to them, they called to ask why I hadn’t paid my bill. Then two days later I got a «second notice» this time for $ 119. Just called to ask what’s going on and was told «that’s just your deductible». Not sure why the amount i owe tripled and neither are they. When I asked to speak to someone from the billing department I was told they’re not available. Like I said, great doctor! But worth all this hassle when there are hundreds of podiatrists in the area? Nope!

You truly are in good hands with Dr. Patel! True to his word, he really does give his patients the comfort that others do not… he even put on my socks and shoes for me because he knew I had arthritis and it would be difficult for me to bend down to do it myself. Wow, what a guy! So, take your tootsies over to Dr. Patel for the tender loving care they deserve. You’ll be glad you did!
