This barbershop provides great customer service been going here for years. I usually get my haircut from yuri or the Asian lady Amy only thing that sucks is there’s no parking

All the barbers are very friendly. His haircut looked great and exactly what we were aiming for.

This is my go to place for many years. I don’t even live in queens anymore and I still go here.
Not all the barbers are the same however, and there’s even one that I would say is bad– does it too fast and without real attention to details.
I always go to Ilya. He’s good. I can tell him what I want and he does it with care and attention. I come out with what I wanted. Now that’s a good barber!

Just had my hair «cut» by an Asian lady right at the front of the shop. She was in a rush for some unknown reason (there were no other customers) and ended up shaving considerably into my hairline. Instead of acknowledging her mistake, which would have been fine, she said it was right and wanted to shave the other side as short, which would have looked ridiculous. No one in the shop (including management) was willing to give me a discount, and the young guy at the cash register told me that I need to pay full price and next time will be better. I’m not going to kick a fuss over $ 14, but I have no reason to go back after how I was treated. They lost a customer, and I will let my friends and family know to try other places too. Truly, I can’t speak for the other hairdressers in there so if you found a good one then lucky you!

I’ve been going here for years and get good service. When people review and say they sometimes get rude treatment, I think it’s sometimes a cultural thing. Most of the guys working there are Russian immigrants and they are just more direct than what many people are used to here.
But, the last time I was there, my regular guy Tony and his brother were no longer working there. I asked but was told Tony is just not in today but I noticed his stuff was gone. Does anyone know where Tony is now? He rules!

Yury has been cutting my hair since I was 3 years old. He is an expert on different types of styles, hair types, and coloring. Yury does it with passion and love. He trained many young men how to cut hair and he has done it with great enthusiasm. His experience in the beauty industry had allowed me to stay with him for many years and I definitely recommend Yury to everyone who wants a perfect haircut.

Ive been going to Yuri’s barbershop for many many years now (10+ years) and have recommended family and friends. The place is fairly large, with approx 10 chairs and a whole bunch of people working there.
The issue I have run into with Yuri’s is the staff”s professionalism and the owners attitude toward it. You have the regulars who work there (about half) then the other half are doing it between summers in school or until they find something better. One such example is the son of one of the employees, who is very rude and confrontational. I got my haircut with him one, and didnt like the job. I still tipped him, but next time I went to another (more experienced) barber within the shop.
This employee confronted me in the presence of all the other customers and employees asking why i was not happy, not wanting to get into a direct confrontation, i just replied I wanted to try a different haircutter. From then on, everytime i walk into the store, he would hold a grudge against me. Behaving very arrogant. I brought this up with the owner, and the owner said he would handle it.
Next time I returned, owner was present, the young barber continued behaving this way, in his presence. Owner couldn’t care less. All he cares about is getting my money.
The other staff who work there are pretty nice, The management is running the business to the ground with his arrogance, and support of other employees’s arrogance. I am seeing a drop off in their clientele in the last couple of years. I am now seeking a new barber shop.

Been coming here now for nearly five years, after my son moved to 163^rd St. They were a welcome relief from the impossibly poor hair service I was getting in Nassau County. Nearly every time I’ve gone in I get a barber before I can sit down. The barbers are very precise in their work. All of them are thorough and pleasant. I still get all of my barbering done there, even though my son moved further east into Auburndale.
