My office orders from this place all the time and occasionaly they make an alright sandwich or meal but overall it is disgusting.
Most recently my chicken was under cooked and threw most of it away.
the salads are TERRIBLE.
they often mess up the order.

The variety of trays for lunch is huge and you can park easy (even a truck). The staff is regular and friendly. Breakfast is also worth the trip.
Given the industrial area and lack of restaurant selection nearby they certainly don’t have to be as good as they are. The staff is quick. They need to be since there is a big weekday lunch crowd from the locals: the police academy across the street, Con Ed next door, and tons of construction workers.
Their last 5 letter grades were all «A». The food prep area is visible as well.

Ordered from this place for the first time via grubhub/​seamless and wow service is awful. I ordered an hour earlier and the delivery didn’t come until 1.5hours later with our food being cold. The salads and sandwiches had no taste and waste of money. Furthermore, the deli couldn’t call me to update me that the delivery guy had a flat tire and he didn’t apologize for the delay as well.

I love delis as much as the next guy. However this is one of the worst delis I have ever been to. The first think I look at when I eat deli food is their chicken cutlet. If they can make a chicken cutlet generally a deli knows what they are doing. Sparky’s does not know how to make chicken cutlet. It was burnt, thin, hard and crunchy. The place is dirty. The lady at the counter refuses to write orders down, so she just yells to the kitchen, and it ends up ruining people’s orders. While I was waiting for my order, 2 different people complained to her saying their order was not right. Place is outdated, dirty, small, horrible chicken cutlet, and the staff has attitude. I don’t recommend.

Found a dead half torn apart fly in my salad. It was very disturbing and not the seasoning i was referring to when i asked for it to be seasoned properly. They gave me my money back but this situation made me realize i need to cook more.

Ordered online through seamless cause of the 5 star rating, but would give it 2 n half star. Delivery was little late then promise time food was ok but not hot, the delivery guy was nice so tipped him $ 5 dollar. I think they should prepare their order when delivery person is available so customers can get hot food at least.

0 stars for this place. They charge extra for turkey bacon. Why is the beef and pork bacon more than Turkey bacon? Its simple they are not health conscious which means they will make bad and cheap stuff for people to eat.

My whole office stopped coming here just because they yell at you the second you walk in the door, then at each other after you order.
Food was ok. Little expensive.

I came here recently and tried their hot food lunch special. The chicken parm was already prepared and sitting in a heated tray. I got the hero for $ 7.57, which came with potato salad or you can have fries for an additional 54 cents. The sauce tasted like it was straight out of a can and was very bland. The worst part of my experience though were the women at the counter pressuring you to order. I was asked 5 times if I was ready yet as I was reading the menu. Then, when I finally ordered, the lady screams out my order at the top of her lungs! She also screamed out everyone elses order after mine. It’s because of her screaming, that I will not return. Everyone else in my group looked at each other in disbelief as this lady was screaming so loudly. If you were walking by, you would think someone is getting raped inside. Never seen this before!

Easy to miss, Sparky’s is sometimes obscured from street view by the many trucks that share its parking lot. While they are open until 4:00 PM, when I visited shortly after 3 PM the chairs were already stacked on the tables and they were mopping the floor in anticipation of closing. They reassured me they were still open, however, so I ordered.
Prices are decent, and the menu had a large selection. The bread on my hero (sandwich) was a little tough, but I would try them again.

Their food is decent. They only charge $ 2.75 for scramble eggs with home fries. The size of serving is very good also. I am leaving 3 star because one their food is not exceptional, two the operator always rushes you when u place the order.

Sparky’s is a good deli for breakfast or lunch. The greatest aspect is the speed, price and quality of your food. You get all three here hands down. Just make sure they fully understand what you want when you order and it will come out as desired. Eat in or take out, easy access to CPB and Whitestone Expwy. I have been going here for years and its always packed. Out matches any deli in the area by far.

Food is good and prices are moderate. A friend of mine had told me to watch them when they ring you up because they tend to over charge. I watched and it happened to me the second day I was there. Coincidence? Don’t know but fishy. Some of the workers also have attitudes. Not very welcoming. I won’t be going back.

I order from here on a weekly basis. Definitely a prime example of not judging a book by it’s cover.
I’m not even gonna hold back, the storefront itself of this place needs a lot of updating. Food wise (that’s what counts right?) they got their stuff together.
I order breakfast hot plates from here almost daily, salads are usually good along with their sandwiches/​wraps.
Lunch specials are huge and very filling. Also, amazing grilled cheese. One of the better lunch spots in the area.

Sparkys is a deli with that has a few tables. If you are in the area and need breakfast this is the place. They have hot plate prepared meals as well for those looking for a big lunch. This place closes early but also opens early. They deliver and have parking.
