Came here for lunch, with a party 8 around 2pm. Here is some pros and cons Pros: Restaurant is clean Very good variety of Japanese and old school Chinese food Sushi and sashimi are fresh One drink is included with you lunch(bubble milk tea) or soda Cons: Service is subpar, their not proactive The ramen noodle is very overcook, and the broth and the pork that is included taste salty and a bit like leftover. The fresh clam were very gritty, as it wasn’t clean through. Mandatory valet parking /$ 3 charge Overall we would Come back. Make sure to use you $ 2 off for lunch from Unilocal,as it applies to all adult lunch purchase.

Buffets usually make me happy. What’s there not to love? Unlimited food for a flat rate price. This buffet place was surprisingly clean and modern compared to other buffets that I have been to. In my opinion I believe that the food was pretty good ! They have a wide variety of foods and most were great. If you’re craving for some Chinese cuisine and have a big appetite, I would recommend this place(:

Second timer! I was so excited to come back! I came here with my family of 10. $ 22 each but on Unilocal, theres a $ 2 off every person. Great deal! Btw, you take the elevator to the 4th floor! When i went, we got our seat right away, but i heard sometimes its crowded so make reservations if you need to. They have a time limit of 1.5 hours but i usually finish in an hour. The food was pretty great. There were sushi, cotton candy, ice cream, crepes, chicken, shrimp, etc and a ton more food:) Theres a crêpe station, ice cream station(they only offer vanilla and green tea) noodle station, peking duck/meat station, cotton candy station etc. They have a marshmellow chocolate fountain! Its suppper sweet. Desserts. Such as red velvet cake, crème brûlée mango pudding etc. They have sago with fruits. They also offer«kani» salad without the cucumber and crumbs. Just crab meat. I asked for bubble tea but they gave me milk tea without the bubbles and i dont think they add bubbles at all. Im glad there was clam chowder. There were also dim sum dishes. Parking lot charges you $ 3 for tips. The spacing inside is great, huge and clean. Carpeted floor where the seats are, big room for the food. Nice view. Tons of seats. Nice service although the waitresses gave me looks when i stood up and got like 4 rounds of food.(Not including desserts) Btw, you leave with a pot belly.

The quality of the food has seriously declined. At 9pm, there was no wait and it was only half full. For a Friday night, this was unusual. AND there was a parking scam. We were told it was $ 3 to park and had to pay upon entering the lot. After parking the car ourselves, we see a slightly obscured sign that said free parking for buffet customers. We were determined to get out money back, but they had already closed up shop. On their kiosk, it showed $ 3 was for tip. Soooo. We paid a mandatory tip for parking our OWN car! Never coming back to this establishment for any reason.

I am telling you this is an amazing buffet. Filled with everything you want Although the smaller then expected the food selection didn’t disappoints. My dad and mom got plates and plates of raw oysters and clams. The oysters were phenomenal Not fishy at all and I have to say I enjoyed the cotton candy and chocolate fondue a lot also. My favorite pick of all, had to be the giant clam they offered. Sweet and steamed in its own juices. It was already cut up for you so it was easy to eat. Amazing amazing food. Definitely would come again

Yes it’s a buffet. Just like any other buffet. The thing that bothered me most was the pay to park that wasn’t there last year. A few kids hiding in this makeshift plywood shelter with a few orange cones seem to have usurped the parking lot. That is shady x9000, methinks it’s gang activity. Well at least they’re not slashing peoples faces with a box cutter for street cred like other gangs. Cops probably overlook this because they’re getting a cut. Quite common in Asian neighborhoods. I highly suggest you print your own money just for this semi legal robbery. It’s quite posh inside and the food is more on the authentic side and less in the ghetto trash side. More on the tofu flounder stir fry and less plantanos fritos con pork fried rice. Some dishes taste good.

I still think The Buffet is great, which is surprising mostly because restaurants like this one usually go down the crapper after a year or two. The Buffet continues to offer great food in a great space and grows in popularity by the day, hence the ever-increasing price. I’m changing my rating because of an incident last night that really rubbed me the wrong way. I hosted a party here with a reservation for 6pm. Most of my guests showed up around 6:15pm, and we were seated and began eating around 6:30pm. A waitstaff approached me with the bill around 7:15pm and notified us of a 1.5 hour seating limit. Seriously? You notify me 15 minutes before the end of the limit, and 1 hour after my party started? On top of this, there was another party next to ours who arrived BEFORE we did, and were still there when we left. They didn’t tell me about the seating limit 2 weeks ago when I made my reservations, and instead, made me drop hundreds on an hour-long, rushed party. Not cool. Business practices like this are a good way to kickstart your downfall, The Buffet. Oh, and the parking lot out front is no longer free. It’s valet-only and«free» with validation, but there’s a big sign by the parking attendant that requests a $ 3 tip.

This is one of my favorite buffets in Queens, they’re selections are pretty good and the food quality is good too. Pretty clean place and the waiters and waitresses are pretty assertive. The price is a little high for dinner, but definitely worth coming back. One thing I hate is they turned the parking lot into a valet parking…

I’m not a really buffet fan because I never eat my worth. this place has a large varieties of food. Their drinks are included in the meal, so any drink you order is free! They even have bubble tea(which I was a bit disappointed with). The bubble tea just tasted like super sugary milk tea without the tapioca. So. why is it call bubble tea? I thought it was chocolate milk when I received it. There is a large selection of hot food, even peking duck! The line for the peking duck is always so long… but hey, it’s pretty worth it. The were not a lot of selection for sushi. It was all sushi rolls, which I didn’t mind. I usually get the sashimi which they have in small plates. Their salami sashimi was really fresh and I kept going back for more. They also have oysters, clams, shrimp cockails, snow crabs, and etc. The snow crabs are my favorite. Yums. They are really fresh and big and the workers are always restocking. My friends had their oysters and clams and they really enjoyed it. They said the oysters were really fresh as well. The desserts are super duper amazing there. They have a chocolate fountain, cotton candy station, ice cream machine, and many other different desserts! This place is worth a try if you have never tried it before. If you’re lucky and get to seat on the bigger round table near the window during sunset, you get to see the beautiful sunset ;) Oh, also there is a $ 3 parking fee to park in the parking lot now.

The name of this place is extremely original. I never knew The Buffet existed until some of my friends have mentioned it. I thought, why not. Let’s try it out. When we got here(it’s on the 4th floor), I was mesmerized by the view out the window. It looked very fancy and impressive. The food and options? Not so much. Although there is variety and although it is all-you-can-eat, I didn’t think anything stood out at all, besides the sushi and that chocolate fountain. It’s not loud as fuck or crowded, which I would usually get suspicious about because typically, an empty place means business is bad. But I thought that the quietness and ambiance meshed well together. I might or might not come back, since it is fairly priced and the assortment of foods is diverse. But I feel like they could do a lot better.

I came here on a Saturday night around 9pm. There was still a short wait-about 10 minutes. On Saturdays, they close at 10:30. Like most buffets, I expected the food to continuously be served and made. However, this was not the case. I understood that I got there about 1.5 hours before closing but still expected service to run well before closing time. As I got to the Sushi bar area, I was informed that there would be no more sashimi, so whatever was out was all that was left. The sushi rolls itself were not fresh as well. The avocado on top of the rolls were brown and looked disgusting, not even appetizing to eat. They have many Asian dishes(things you would find at a dimsum restaurant) to Peking Duck(which was one of the few things being continuously served on the spot). There is a chocolate fountain where you can dip your desired fruits in. I had two bowls of the Shark Fin Soup, cooked clams, and the Peking Duck. Also, a couple of servings of the green tea soft serve. These were probably amongst my favorite, which is only a few dishes. I was really disappointed in the service. I nicely asked for cups of refills for my soft drinks and some of the waitresses were really rude. As I was reaching for a dessert cake, I had tongs in my hand wanting to grab another one, but a waitress who was plating everything onto one plate grabbed it out of my hands and placed it onto the plate. This seemed rude to me. At least she could have asked if I wanted to grab something else, but she just snatched it out of my hands without asking. I understand that it was nearly closing time, but until 10:30, service should be up and running.

The place is located inside a hotel. They have parking available. The restaurant was clean and there were a lot of choices to pick from. The food was like most buffet places, lots of food but nothing superior. The sushi was just avg. I probably wouldn’t come back here again.

Food was on point. Everything that I tried, I had like. I was most excited for the lobster and like their consistency. Of course, I kept on stacking my plate with them as well as other seafoods. I also had a lot of fish and clams. I thought the layout of the buffet was very organized. My only complaint would be the customer service upon arrival. When I got there on a Saturday night, the whole check in area with filled with people and what appears to be a line, so I did not know where to go at first. A lot of shouting and impatient people. Nonetheless, a very decent, clean and delicious buffet!

The place just have a different feeling from most of other buffet restaurant. High ceiling, bright, spacious, clean, modern decoration. Foods are not put on those stainless steel trays, but on plates. Lot of oyster, crab, shrimps. Lot of colorful sushi. Lot of desserts. Quality is good. While you want to enjoy the food, they would give you the bill when the time 1.5 hour was almost up. The price included drinks, soda, coffee and tea, flavor tea(like bubble tea without the bubble), but they would ask you to finish the drink before giving you refill. 15% tips will be added on the bill. Currently Unilocal check-in for $ 2 discount, not valid on holiday and weekend. There is a big parking lot, used to be free, now have to pay tips(minimum $ 2) to the parking attendants.

This is seriously one of the better buffet that I’ve been to in a very long time! I was amazingly shocked at how good the quality was, especially considering the price tag that we had to pay. The ambiance is definitely pleasing, spacious and on one end of the restaurant, the view of the skyline is just absolutely breathtaking! But what really got me more going is the food. There was just so much to choose from and everything was really good. The dungeons crab was outstanding and there was jumbo scallops galore! Best of all they also serve sashimi during lunch and dinner so you really can’t go wrong. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner and I have to say their lunch is a much better deal. However, if you fancy snow crab legs, lamb chops and peking duck then dinner might be a better route. NOTE(as of 10÷13÷15): They are offering $ 2 discount for Unilocal check in for lunch and a AYCE dinner lobster special. As for the lobster deal, I’m not exactly sure when it will end, but my suggestion is to call before you come in. Lastly, meal also include in drinks! ;)

This is one of the better Chinese buffets in New York Metro area. We came here during dinner hours and it was $ 31 per person. The place is has a nice ambience. One of the nicer looking buffet restaurants in New York. The food here is decent overall. The soups are what you can pass on. The soups are water down. The salads are a hit or miss. The sushi and sashimi are not the best quality, but okay. The raw seafood are decent. Not biggest oysters, but it will pass. The hot Chinese food are pretty good. I like the shrimp, fish, and vegetable dishes. The hot casserole dishes are also a good option here. At the craving and barbecue stations, I would get the Peking duck. It’s not bad Peking duck. Good flavor. You can get noodles here either Ramen or udon noodles. Decent, but I have had better from other places. Dessert…just go straight for the Cotton Candy machine. It will make you happy. This place has parking lot which is a plus.

Looking for a Chinese buffet? If so, there are good arguments to be made to visit the imaginatively named(and inherently elusive to googling) «The Buffet.» Most easily accessible by car or bus, this restaurant is located in a remote hotel complex that was planned to house a vibrant shopping center, only it hasn’t yet. Two iterations of a Chinese supermarket once occupied space on the first level but its currently shuttered. A moderately sized parking lot is available, with good street parking once that fills up. Through the parking lot entrance, take the elevators to the fourth floor. The spacious dining room is bright and clean, with high ceilings and good views from windows all around. It is a much nicer venue than buffets in the city typically have. But don’t waste too much time admiring it; it pays to head straight to the central food areas to make the most of the allotted 1.5-hour dining window. Food is plentiful and rapidly replenished. It is also neatly maintained and items clearly labeled. The offerings are Chinese, skewing Cantonese, and are generally of better quality and authenticity than those at places that cater to non-Chinese clientele. Many stir-fried dishes are available, whether with meat, vegetables, seafood, or a combination. There are dishes such as Chinese green vegetables, black bean clams, beef kalbi, lamb chops, roast meats, steamed whole fish, grilled shrimp, fried rice, and fried noodles. A dim sum selection may include siu mai, shrimp dumplings, roast pork buns, and chicken feet. There is an obligatory sushi area, mostly turning out sashimi and various rolls. The raw bar may have oysters, clams, shrimp, crab, and snow crab legs. Staffed stations attract lines for decent Peking duck on mantou buns, and ramen and udon noodle soups. Salads are mostly Western style. Made to order crepes, ice cream machine, cotton candy spinner, and fondue add to the plentiful fruits and pre-made desserts available Alcohol is not offered, even at additional charge, but they are BYOB without corkage fee. Otherwise, water and soft drinks are available. Avoid overloading plates; like many AYCE places, they will charge for excess waste. Air conditioning is a bit weak at times and all those heated food stations don’t help. Overall, as a Chinese buffet targeting a Chinese clientele, the food quality is decent. For those who like buffets or seek such a venue for a group, The Buffet is a surprisingly good option in Queens. It is predictably favored by large groups and is also absurdly popular so make a reservation.

Wow. This is definitely a hidden gem! I wouldn’t have ever known about this place! My father was the one to tell me. He didn’t know the name… just knew how to get there. I drive past this place ALL the time!!! Place is located in an area where you’d pass hotels and barbershops and other little shops to get to College Point blvd where all the bigger stuff are. It is very easy to pass this one by. I parked the car, and entered a hotel. Which was equivalent to that of a Holiday Inn or something. Got to the top floor and was wowed upon passing the hostess at the front. The place is super clean, bright, full of windows, and the selection of food is great! No complaints here. I had their fried rice, a bunch of sushi, the roti, beef and chicken yakitori, their desserts, omg, OK?! Highly recommend!!!

Came here for the third time the other day and boy was i disappointed! Not sure why I liked it the first two times I came here or maybe the food has gone down or ive just gotten pickier but I will not be returning here for sushi buffet unless i don’t have a choice. I would rather spend the money and go to a different sushi/japanese buffet for the same price. To start it off, the sushi selection here isn’t that great to me because everything is made from rolls of sushi. I like getting sushi that has the rice on the bottom and a piece of sashimi over it. The rolls were good but not great. They have an oyster and clams section which I always love getting cause I loveeee oysters but there oysters were just not worth getting a second plate for. Most of the oysters that were out were very small and not worth even getting. They also have a shrimp cocktail section and the shrimps were smaller than other buffets that serve shrimp. They have a hot foods section which has a dimsum section, a guy who makes you either a bowl of udon or ramen. Other hot foods include peking duck, egg rolls, scallion pancakes, egg noodle, lamb, fish, and even frog legs. The hot foods honestly were just O-K. I found myself taking a bite of most and not finishing my plates. I only got 2 plates here which is such a decrease from my usual 4 – 5 plates at other buffet places. I just didn’t have anything that I wanted to get again. The best thing about this place is the dessert. They have the typical cake and fruit section other buffets have but they also have a cotton candy machine and a crêpe station! Definitely the best part to this place. The green tea ice cream there is also reallly good and creamy! Drinks are included in the meal so order away! They even have bubble tea. Make sure to go online and find the $ 2 off coupon if you do plan on going but I would suggest going to another sushi/japanese buffet!
