Foothill Ranch Community Park

Lovely little community park.

My kids and I love this park. It’s close to home, clean with lots of shade. Today we have the park all to ourselves the kids are having a blast running from play structure to play structure. There are bathrooms trash cans and a big grass area to play games on.

We love coming here! A excellent play ground and walking area. The play ground has a little toddler side and a big kid side. There is plenty of space for the little ones to exercise and get out all that extra energy. The benches for the parents are not very comfortable but they are plentiful. I bring a blanket and sit under a shady tree. They have drinking fountains and a nice bathroom. A hidden gem in a great community!

A cool little park especially great when it comes to sunsets. Magnificent for photographing them. Nice track around the perimeter – good for dogs & people. A few baseball diamonds, a soccer field, basketball, hockey & tennis courts, a kids’ playground, bar-​b-​ques and picnic benches, benches along the walkways, plentiful parking, bathrooms, water fountains, all in one small-​to-​average-​sized park. I even like the couple of memorial trees & the fact that it is next door to a church. Not much to complain about. It’s even well-​lit when the sun starts setting.
But, I have something to complain about – and, actually, this is a pet peeve of mine. NO off-​leash parks in our area of Foothill/​Lake Forest. None. Closest one is about 10 miles from here. Why didn’t they use the available land here for off-​leash doggies? A few years ago I had my small dogs off leash there when few people were around, but some guy apparently called the cops because he was there with his kids so a cop came by and threatened to slap me with a $ 1000 fine. The trail around the park is RIGHT next to the canyon and coyotes abound. One morning, a coyote was just sitting on the soccer field, as if waiting for breakfast. Not good. The fences around the park are very low and no problem whatsoever for those scavenging menaces. So where are our dogs supposed to go to run free a little? This is suburbia & nearly every family has a dog, but not a big yard. Why have the dogs of Foothill Ranch been forgotten?

This is a great park with a variety of things to do. They renovated the playground about 4 years ago so it is very new and fun for children. There’s a lot of grassy areas available for recreation and/​or picnics. There are tennis courts and hockey rinks, as well as a basketball court and volleyball nets. There is a trail along the back perimeter good for walking/​running. There are also baseball diamonds and soccer nets in the back. It’s a great family park.

This is a great park with many amenities — soccer, volleyball, baseball, basketball, tennis, track, fields for dogs, Frisbee, picnic tables with BBQ, shaded areas with tables. The playground is large with two sections — one for youger kids and one for older. There is a large multi-​section see-​saw, swings, climbing wall, suspended bridge and slides. My kids always love going here. There are restrooms and drinking fountain. I walk here often at lunch and there are usually groups playing sports or just relaxing.

This park is located right before you go into this Foothill community.
I find this park smaller but does offer lots to do like: the potty facility, basketball court, baseball field, outdoor hockey rink? (that’s a first?!), volleyball court, tennis courts, walk/​jog/​bike paths.
Cleanliness factor, grasses were super green, the dirt trails nicely paved, no sign of trash and there were maintenance works here planting or reseeding the park.
On the grass we saw an exercising class going on and the people that were in it seemed to enjoy it. You can hear kids playing and having fun because there is a cool playground for them. In for a picnic? there are patios you can shade in there.
You get the view of the landscape, nice houses that surrounds the area and rolling hills too. Wow, this community got it good!

Nice little park with lots of amenities such as volleyball, basketball, multiple baseball diamonds and roller hocky rinks, a walking path and playgrounds for kids. Nice place to come and walk a dog or walk on your lunch break from work.
Park is kept pretty clean and is located over parts of whiting ranch trails. Always seem to be painting, re-​seeding or working on fields which is the only drawback as many times one area or another is fenced off. All in all a great little park for kids and some light walking or sports.

Beautiful park with FREE parking atop the hills of Foothill Ranch. This park has most of the amenities of a well equipped park… two tennis courts (however no light at night), a great children’s playground, soccer field, basketball courts, baseball field. We like to come here for a round of tennis, followed up with lunch picnic and maybe even stay to watch the beautiful sunset go down over the hill. Not sure about the restrooms since I usually avoid public park/​beach bathrooms at all cost. Only reason this place is not getting a 5^th star is because of the lack of lights that are needed near the tennis courts… too dark to play after the sun sets.

Very clean. Nice playground. Baseball field. You can bring your rollerblades and skate in the hockey rinks. Benches located in shady areas to sit and enjoy the landscape or read a book.

A great place for a walk. The views are beautiful. Rolling hills, blue sky’s, and lots of bunnies for Sully to chase.
