Came here on my lunch break a few days ago. Very small spot, they don’t accept cards only cash. Very busy around lunch time. A plentiful menu with a great variety of things. My first time here I got the chicken and guac combo, it came with rice and black beans. It tasted really good, my only problem is they gave a whole bunch of rice and not enough black beans and chicken. There needs to be an equal distribution . The prices are reasonable, I came back again to try out some of the other things on the menu . Second time around I got a chili taco and supreme chicken quesadilla. The«chili» in the chill taco doesn’t taste like chili, tasted more like spaghetti meat sauce. I didn’t like it too much. The Supreme chicken quesadilla was mediocre. There was no cheese inside and they put the sour cream and guacamole inside the quesadilla(a tiny bit at that). If you want average Mexican food, come here.

Decent place for a quick fast food Mexican type of restaurant. Chicken came out dry and guacamole wasn’t very fresh. Shrimps were decent tho. A little rude when ordering over the phone.

Large portions of fresh, flavorful Mexican-American fast food that delivers. What more can a woman want after moving all day? Or for any night that you don’t want to cook? I loved the Chef’s special burrito, which had chunks of chicken, beef and shrimp. Juicy, seasoned shrimp that was perfectly cooked. The Steak Quesadilla was ok. Cheesy and slightly dry steak. Will definitely call them again.

I love there soft chicken taco supremes, it comes with guacamole chicken lettuce tomatoes and sour cream($ 2.50) and it comes with there mild small salsa. 3 of these fill me up :) I’ve tried the nachos as well and wasn’t impressed. Good idea would be to call ahead and place Ur order to pick up. It usually takes like 10min to make my order when I go personally to the restaurant.

Taco King is no average Tex-Mex takeout joint. People say their prices are a bit higher than usual, but their food also tastes that much better. You get what you pay for! We picked up our meal an hour later and thought, this is going to be bad… But all things taken into consideration, we STILL loved it! Imagine how it tastes Hot and Fresh! My Fav were the Nachos, we got the TexMex Chili Nacho — YUM! With a side of pico de gallo. Quesadillas were packed full and Tacos were yum. The enchilada was ok but that side of Rice Cheese and Beans were awesome!

Mouth watering food. Everything is fresh and the meat is great quality. I order the chicken and jumbo shrimp combo. Enough to feed you and have left overs. Also comes with a free soda. Not alot of room, 5tables but it never gets to packed. My go to when im in the area.

Yuck! Just yuck! 1st time I had food from here it was delivery and I had no idea it was a Chinese/Mex place(this is not tex/mex by ANYMEANS!)…I HATE Chinese/Mex infused food… as soon as I received the food and looked at it, I knew immediately that it was just that. Something about the bland flavor and the chewy, super dry, disgusting, questionable chicken just completely grossed me out. I guess it will do if I had no other choice in the world. Sorry.

This is my staple Tex-Mex place. Weather I am eating in NY or South Florida I always compare it to Taco King, and I’m happy to say its still on top. The place is very small and could get packed during after school hours. I usually order for a pickup. Their shrimps are very flavorful with no hint of that frozen stuff, and their chicken is grilled nicely. The spicy enchilada is a bit messy but very good. I usually get a shrimp burrito and chicken quesadilla and it fills me up just right. And the lady behind the counter always smiles and they are pretty generous with the sauces.

Really good, pretty cheap and I love their salsa ranchera sauce. I order from them a lot. They have a $ 10 delivery minimum but their food is sooo good I always end up buying a lot of it. You should try them.

We ordered lunch from a medical vendor through my office and we got a roach in our tacos. I am never ordering from them again.

I have a soft spot for these Chinese-owned Tex-Mex take-out joints, and Taco King delivers on all aspects in terms of friendly and timely service, and quality and taste of food. Taco King isn’t the most spacious of restaurants, but they’re clean and have a few tables for the casual diner. This places seems to get more delivery/to-go orders more than people dining in, and I was one of those who was picking up a phone order. I had a chicken fajita supreme, shrimp taco, and guacamole nachos, which were all good. Of the three, the chicken fajitas were by far my favorite — well grilled chicken and really flavorful with the veggies and fresh tortilla. The shrimp taco was good too, though I couldn’t tell if I thought it was weird that it tasted more like a Chinese stir-fry shrimp wrapped in a tortilla. The nachos were a perfect portion, well seasoned, and all the ingredients(guacamole, tomatoes, sour cream, black beans, etc.) worked really well together. Taco King rocks, and I’ll definitely be a return customer! Last note: CASHONLY!

Place is small, but a lot of people stop by. Tacos are off the hook depending what kind you get. I remember my sister took me here once and I ate some bomb ass chicken soft tacos. My friends reintroduced me to this place, food is fresh taste satisfies me. Workers are friendly. Will be back for sure.

Best tex– Mexican food in queens. Grilled chicken combo w guacamole or chicken burrito w pinto beans is my personal favorite. My boys and I have literally paid their rent a few months due to the amount of times we have been there since high school. Small minus is that their prices are slowly going up and the portions are getting smaller. Dont think i didn’t notice.

So many 4 star positive reviews but don’t know what the big deal is. I ordered a Chicken Burrito for me, a chicken Fajita, a steak Fajita for my 2 yo daughter and a Steam Veg with Guacamole Combo for my friend. The selection was based on the reviews we read on Unilocal. Chicken Burrito was good, not amazing but a solid piece. Chicken and Steak Fajita were okay. Not a lot of meat, the flour tortillas was quite small, about 6 inches and some burnt grill pieces, no impact flavor. Props for the fresh green peppers. I tried a little bit of my friends combo and thought it was okay as well. The steam veggies were, broccoli, slice carrots and mushroom. A bit on the firm side but good quality, remembers me of frozen Bird’s Eye veggie brand. The guacamole was not watery and fresh + flavorful. Not much though. Rice and beans were simple, not much also for a combo. The 2 Flour Tortillas were the worst! Dry and sooooo chewy and tough!!! Like day old tortilla that was warmed up. I make fresh ones at home so I know. Just lazy this Friday night. So my friend didn’t even finish eating it even though we were still very hungry at the end of this meal. The food here is not bad but for $ 20 before tipping it seems a bit off to leave our stomach still feeling hungry. At our other regular place closer to Kew Gardens the food tastes about the same, but you get MOREMEAT and fresher, larger tortilla for the same price or CHEAPER.

Taco King is great for fast food(Mexican) and late night dinner. Many nights when I work late everything else in the area is closed. But Taco King is always open till 11 or so. I always order the chicken quesadillas or the chicken tostada salad. With the tostada salad I ask for extra dressing because it’s a large dish and one dressing just isn’t enough. The only down side is they don’t take credit or debit cards so make sure to bring cash. That’s why I gave them one less star. The chicken burrito can feed two people it’s just that big. Never disappoints.
