Very good food! We got to our table(by a hostess) but there was still a tip on the table from the last guest? The waitress picked it up once she got to our table, but I had never had that happen before at a restaurant. Anyways, the waitress was very knowledgable about the menu which was helpful because the menu is very long and is sorta confusing. I had the grilled cheese and pesto with tomato and it was incredible! Other members of my party had the bacon cheeseburger and the grilled cheese and bacon sandwich. All was good, and if we lived in the area would be back more often!

My husband and I are traveling and drove through the area and wanted to grab some lunch. The reviews looked good so we decided to stop. Lunch was good, the bread was good. I had a chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious. Great server, seated promptly. Very clean restrooms. Purchased a cupcake to eat later and it was amazing! Everything in the case looked so good. If you live nearby, how lucky you are to be able to eat here.

We have enjoyed several good meals at Keys café and have visited the other locations in White Bear Lake and Fridley. It is a good consistent place to eat with a homestyle meat an potatoes and grilled sandwiches type menu. The bakery and coffee shop is very good and we love the house chocolate cake and have ordered several over the years. The service has also been very good.

Y UM Y U M Y U M M Y PASTRIES This is a busy, happening, newer restaurant located in a strip mall. They seem to be very good at burn and turn. The menu is ginormous, but it was easy to decide which breakfast to have. It wasn’t super busy there even though it was an early Saturday morning, and we got our food really fast. However, I can’t figure out why my scrambled eggs were so cold when we got the food so fast? Since it was a business meeting, I just smiled and ate them cold and didn’t complain. Otherwise I would have returned them. :-) The Christmas decorations were still up and they were absolutely adorable. Someone had taken a lot of time to pick out really nice items and strategically place them. A real homey touch. Really really cute! On the way out, I spy a pecan pie in the bakery window. I never did get a pecan pie for Christmas, so I thought, here’s my chance. I don’t make pecan pies, I always try to find a great bakery that has a great pecan pie. I will never be able to make one as good as my Auntie Natalie did with pecans right off her neighbor’s tree in Phoenix Arizona. Just for the record, I do make Pecan Danties and I won the purple ribbon at our County Fair in Utah for them, 2 years in a row :-). Boy were the other ladies mad! Any hoo, I got a slice to go, and damn, P E C A N P I E P E R F E C T I O N !

Great place for breakfast. Food was good service was acceptable. Doesn’t get the fifth star because it too much mimics a cleaner brighter type of Perkins.

A very nice place for breakfast in the Forest Lake area. I came here with my friend and his mother. We sat at the bar area, we were helped quickly by the staff and our food was delicious! I had the Two Guys Breakfast and it comes with fresh mushrooms! Split it if you don’t think you can finish it.

I know it’s an overused phrase, but this is really what«home cooking» is all about. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you’ll find it here. Large portions, decent prices. You will never have a better turkey dinner(Sorry, mom).

Went for lunch, had an average burger and sweet potatoes fries. To finish the deal I ordered a ho-ho slice to go! All was great except the service was a bit slow. Will come here again.

This is the best breakfast around. My personal favorite is the potatoes etc. it is full of veggies mixed with hashbrowns and topped with provolone cheese. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

Went here for a business lunch. The server was not very friendly, seemed irritated that she had to wait on us. Ordered a chicken sandwich that was very dry and bland. My associate ordered the Monte Cristo, which was delicious. We also shared onion rings and fries, both were literally WET! No crunch at all, no flavor. I asked for ranch while ordering, and again after the food arrived, which I never received. I asked to speak with management after our meal and she seemed to have the same attitude as our server. Terrible service, terrible food, no accountability for either. Also way WAYWAAAAYYY overpriced! P. S. Shared this experience with my Fiancée and her response was«NEVER go to key’s! The service is horrible and we always find hair in our food.»

As I’m originally from the northern suburbs, Key’s has, for some reason, been our default go-to place for brunch. Mostly because one of my friends love it. If I had to describe Key’s in one word, it would average. Completely average. The wait was incredibly long. We went for Sunday brunch at around 10:30 and had to wait about 25 minutes to get a table. The overall service was great. The waiter, an obvious high schooler, was very friendly and attentive. The food was okay. I got the salmon eggs Benedict. Tasty, but nothing special. The portion size was also good; it was enough but not overwhelming. I would go back, because I always do. But by be same token it was plainly average overall.

Probably the best Keys I have been to. It was pretty packed for a Sunday, but we expected it to be. The wait however, was just under 10 minutes. Thee turn around was pretty quick. Service was good. Excellent breakfast options: Dad and I both ordered the # 1. Two eggs, toast, home fries or hashbrowns meat optional. I opted in for the bacon which made my day. 4 thick cut hearty pieces of bacon. Very reasonable, tasted great and hit the spot. Mom ordered scrambled eggs with French toast. She said this batch of French toast was the best she had yet(on her many visits) Place is pretty good size. Friendly staff Good food.

If you want to know where everyone in Forest Lake is on a Saturday morning, check out Keys. The place was PACKED. I was very impressed with their service at the front. Although there was a line, it moved quickly and no one was ever told they needed to wait. These guys must he the masters of flipping tables. The only tough part is people congregate immediately at the entry door since the hostess is there. There is plenty of space to move into the actual waiting area, but people don’t — they create the line so it goes outside. Maybe just design over sight. The food was excellent. They had a special that day for apple bacon egg quesadillas with a side of hashbrowns. The portions were huge which is what I expect with Keys. It makes breakfast more expensive than other places, but you are really getting leftovers for lunch too. We have a child along with us who was thrilled with his Mickey Mouse pancakes and was even more excited that the head of Mickey pancake was bigger than his head. They have a tremendous looking bakery! Despite the whole town being there, our serve was great. Our waitress was very attentive and kind. I would recommend Keys any day!

Went for a second time, a birthday supper party of 8. One crusted walleye, meat loaf, ceasar salad, combo, and 3 phillies. No complaints. The waitress mixed up a couple things with the order and splitting the bills. Losing a star because the bread to meat/topping ratio on the phillies was just wrong~too much bread. The last of the beer cheese soup was sold out from under one of us after the order was taken, oh well. I’ll stick with breakfast.

Our friends took us here on a Sunday as it’s one of their favorites. I can see why for a few reasons; 1. The service was great including quick, efficient, happy and friendly staff. 2. The food was pretty good especially the french Toast and homemade jam! 3. The prices were reasonable and worth it. We will come back again for both the atmosphere/service and the food. I gave it 4 stars because half of the food was extraordinary well my eggs were basic. Overall I would recommend it!

Two words for ya ! Farmers omelette is a belly buster in a half son. Huge portions here and if you come early enough they have great breakfast specials for the old and young. Try the jam here it’s homemade and now available for people to take home and eat out of the jar.
