I’m really, really bummed that this place is closing. My sister and I stopped in and bought the most random things– batman t-shirts, bookends and a fireplace façade. Hopefully they can sell their wares online, because I really adore their selection and wish I lived closer so I could continue to shop their before they officially close.

A fun little shop that’s like walking around in Etsy. Lots of great handmade items. Clothes, jewelry, doodads, they have it all!

This place always impresses me with their handmade specialty items. I wish I had a place like this to shop when I was a little rumspringa. I stopped by the other day and brought the little flask I had purchased last time, loaded with an oaky Chardonnay, and proceeded to get a little buzz as I sipped through the store. I’ve visited this place several times, including twice over Christmas, and 60% of the time I find what I want every time. There are so many different types of crafts that are unique and something I just have to have. And sometimes they are something I know that a friend must absolutely have, whether they know it or not! I can easily wander around digging for the exact things I don’t know that I need yet — from holiday tree decorations to the pieces I need to assemble a goat costume for spring communion. The owners are superduper friendly, they can tell you everything you want to know about each and every item. So I asked her why the slippers cost less on etsy, and she told me quite frankly that they have shipping costs as well as the overhead for having a store. Andt hey, at least I get to try on the shoes before I buy them. I know! Incredible!

Such a neat store and the owners were really friendly and helpful! I picked up several gifts and the owner wrapped them up really nice. They had the cutest handmade slippers, but only small sizes. On the slippers there was a label, so I looked them up on etsy. I found the exact slippers and she was selling the slippers for $ 15 and the store sold them for $ 24. I was thankful I didn’t buy them and ordered them online instead.

Pretty Little Things must be an acquired taste because I’ve been to this store three times so far and have liked it more each time. What’s happened is I saw an item in the store(didn’t buy it) and then couldn’t get it out of my head(it was a flask)! Gosh darn it! The third time I went in they offered me a morning mimosa in honor of Black Friday. I politely declined but was delighted as if I’d accepted! Most(if not everything) in the store is handmade in the United States. A lot of items are made by people personally known by the owners(two sisters). Even though they’re all handmade, the store definitely isn’t a craft fair. No. The merchandise is tasteful and quality. I’ve seen handmade flasks(about $ 20), skirts(about $ 60), and jewelry($ 20-$ 60). There are also wallets, candles, t-shirts, blank books, and all kinds of random items. I’d say that the merchandise is generally reasonably priced; however, there are some items that are ridiculous(e.g. a dress made out of t-shirts for over $ 100!). I love the layout of the store. It has merchandise on tables and stands as well as hanging from racks made of ladders. Music is often played from an iPod and credit cards are swiped through an iPad attachment. There is a table with a sewing machine and a station where jewelry is made. At least one of the sisters(I don’t know which one) talks a LOT about her wares. She knows where everything came from and little antidotes about them. Somehow those stories justify some of the prices.

Great find! I love, love, love this spot! I am wearing the cute pants I bought today(comfy and fun with a rooster on them!)! I also got a great dress that will be so fun to wear year round! This is a great space(old Team Blonde location), and the owner has made great use of it! Can’t wait to return!

Wow, great boutique addition to Madison St. Very hip and contemporary jewelry, cool t-shirts, and other great gifts. Reminiscent of Fly Bird in Oak Park. Indie feel. With the new mid-century modern vintage store opening soon, Forest Park is developing an Andersonville feel, with hipper stores for younger people.
