IGH Army Hotel

If you are staying here it was probably not by choice. There are better lodging off post within per diem. The rates here are higher than better places off post. The only benefit this place has is not having to fight traffic and the front gate every morning. It was Fort Belvoir lodging now managed by IGH. The place is old but they are trying to update it. Phase I of the renovation was new sheets, shower curtain and shower curtain rod. The sink and stove top are small and old but it does the job just not with an even surface. The wall shelving in the room looks like it was build for a grand office as it takes up one whole wall. Not a functional place at all. There is no wifi only hard lan cable so bring your router with you. There are so many safety hazards in the place so be cautious of hallways and stair cases. During the last big storm the place lost power and none of the emergency lights were operable. The hotel place chem lights on the stairs (and didn’t replace as they died out). The gym sucks! The breakfast is okay with granola bars, boiled eggs, yogurt and coffee.

It’s OK. Not one thing special about this place except collecting priority points. No Pool, Separate Buildings ETC
