Fort Bragg MEDDAC has the troop clinic concept down. I have NEVER been more impressed by the set up across this installation.
Each unit is assigned to a clinic for care. You can make appointments online via
— too easy! They actually have appointments available and evening appointments! I came from Fort Lee and it was next to impossible to be seen.
This clinic includes family practice, chiropractic, physical therapy, laboratory, radiology, social work, immunizations and pharmacy. The building is new and HUGE.
Initially, I gave this place 5 stars. After several more appointments and the crazy run around by my PCM and the pain management PA, it’s barely a two. The civilian PA pain management provider is a cocky, uncaring jerk. It took me almost three months of numerous appointments and waiting to see someone in pain management. No biggie because I am not suffering or anything. Finally, I have switched PCM’s to someone who seems a little more concerned about some of my chronic pain issues. One of the nurses on the evening shift acts like she’s put out even taking vitals. Like I wrote, I did change PCMs and will hopefully never see that same cruddy nurse again.
Like most things, it’s inconsistent. Good luck!
