My favorite hot dog spot is now a plethora of many other things besides hot dogs. To be honest I loved the place that was here for at least 30 years(I’m 50 and can remember it always being here. I left my dad at his doctors appointment and snuck a few blocks west to try the new spot out. Soda In cans, Latin music, a new outdoor seating area which is very clean. ok I’m impressed thus far. The bun was really fresh. I asked for sour kraut pickles tomatoes onions and mustard. There was really no taste to the hot dog as I was expecting to bite into a more hot dog tasting dog. maybe it’s just the big bun taking away from the meat. I took a bite more meat than bun and it was better. It did get a little messy as the bun broke apart but for a hot dog it was ok. The new owners are nice polite and attentive. Thanks for lunch! 5 bucks soda and dog. I’m ok with that. I will stop by again when in the area.

How can I not give props to my favorite hidden Colombian place, even if it changed ownership and americanized Its menú. I stopped today wanting my usual breakfast, seeing it was open after being closed for a bit. To my surprise, it wasn’t Las orquídeas satélite location anymore. It was now Fecho’s. It was still a simple sandwich shop but with some tweeks to the menu like hot dogs and no árepas. The latter was worth taking off a star, but they plan to have them back within the next few weeks. I ordered a little off the menu. I got my huevos pericos, pero as a sandwich. It made it easier to take to go as I was driving to Miami after and was planning to eat on the way. They still have my favorite jugo de lulo con leche too. This is juice from the lulo berry with milk. Very very recommended. If you are going to relax and enjoy a Colombian meal, go to Las Orquídeas. But if You are On the run, stop here
