I’ve ordered from Jersey a few times now and have been meaning to write a review. Excellent rippers, and if you have never had a fried hot dog you have no idea what your missing! They have some good options and sell both hot dogs and burgers cooked with onions(optional). Super good. When not at a food truck roundup, they can be found by PowerLine and cypress in a gas station parking lot

I usually don’t leave reviews but I just had to for this place. They Deserve more then 5 stars. I only had the burgers they were really good, like really good. It only took them 5 mins(no long waiting time). The service was really good, very friendly owners. I will definitely come back when I’m back in town

solid take on various nj hot dog iterations. if you’re in the mood, this place will definitely satisfy your hankering until your next unfortunate flight into newark. and for those that don’t know, nj pretty much sets the standard for a great hot dog.

Located in a gas station, this food truck is convenient for lunch or a quick bite on the go. The guys are very nice and willing to answer any question you may have. I’ve always heard of the concept of Jersey deep fried hot dogs but never tried it cause I thought it’d be too greasy. Surprisingly it wasn’t! There’s options for just the ripper which is just the fried hot dog or many other choices of sauces and toppings added. I had the Rip-n-Curl which had cheese and spam cubes on top. So so good!!! The roll was nice a fluffy too. I had a bit of the fort Lee as well. The chilli and onions on top were very tasty. We also got a side of fries loaded with cheese and gravy. A bit on the salty side for these but heck if you’re gonna go unhealthy might as well go all the way!

I eat A LOT of Hamburgers. My absolute favorite style is a properly made slider; thin patty, smashed & seared on a flat top with steamed onions & served with American Cheese on a squishy roll, preferably Martin’s Potato. You would think making such a simple sounding Burger was easy but if it was, everyone would do it. If you really want a fantastic slider, you have to seek out those places that do it and most of them are in Detroit or New Jersey. But now thanks to Jersey Dawg, you can get perfectly made sliders in South Florida and they do not disappoint!

It’s a truck people. However it transports you back to Jersey for some rippers! I had the clifton once, a nice relish like the hut. I also had the Fort Lee today, very tasty. No place to sit, so order and go. Wouldn’t hurt to order ahead. Like the Facebook page and you can see where they will be.

They put out a surprisingly good fresh tasting dog from a truck at a gas station. Normally I don’t eat fries, but I decided to order some. Glad I did, the fries were excellent. Good news for me is that this truck is nearby my work, so I will be back again to try other choices.

Took my grandson here last Friday and I had the Clinton(awesome) and he had a cheeseburger(go figure) and it was real burger not a frozen shaped patty! The food here is great, recommend to all going by or work in the area!!!

This is kind of a strange concept on how they fry the actual hot dog. It takes away from the flavor of the meat and moreover, doesn’t taste like a good one from the grill would either. I’m not really sure what they’re going for here but one time was enough, I would never have this again. If they’re going to throw it in the fryer, it needs batter on it or it just tastes weird lol.

Really hungry after a long seminar and decided on the spur of the moment to pull a U-turn and try this place. Located in the corner of a gas station parking lot. First ever Ripper Dawg. Never thought I would steep so low on the nutrition chain to actually eat a deep fried hot dog but no one was watching. Glad I did. Not greasy at all. Really enjoyed my NY style dog with kraut and cooked onion. Four hours later and no intestinal issues.

Great taste from Jersey i frequent the jersey dawg and have tried just about everything on the menu and then some off menu items, i have even gotten creative, and there is nothing like the crunchy and moist ripper, yes it is deep fried, and has ruined regular dirty water dogs for me, but im ok with that because the rippers are so good. The sliders jersey style are also awesome, a fresh burger, on top of a steaming bed of fresh onions, with or with out cheese, topped with a steamed bun, so freaken delicious, no need for a salad on top, get that lettuce, tomato outta here, you dont even need ketchup, trust me its good the way it comes. Bottom line if you ever want great tasting food for a great price, get yo ass to the Jersey Dawg, you can thank me later.

I work across the street and it’s pretty awesome on a sunny day, to be able to walk across the street(Powerline) and pick up a unique lunch. I’ve had four different«Ripper» dogs, and they’ve all been good. TIP: When you visit, check-in with Unilocal for free fries.

So, the reason I knew about Jersey Dawg is because I have a friend on Facebook that religiously checks-in every Friday up in Broward. It’s a tradition of his. Every Friday for lunch he stops at their food truck. So, I had already heard of them. Thank you Unilocal and Facebook for that. Fast forward to tonight, January 31st, 2015. I’m at Burger Beast’s, our local South Florida Blogger, Burgie Awards here in Hialeah. Low and behold, to make a long story short, I run into said friend there. You know? The friend that always checks in to Jersey Dawg on Fridays? Anyway, guess what’s directly in front of us? That’s right, the Jersey Dawg Food Truck. «Oh you have to try it,» and, this and that later, I’m ordering a deep fried hot dog and chili cheese fries. I’m not supposed to have this, mind you. I have this«problem» with my liver. But, since I was already having beer anyways, I said, «pa-la pinga bro.» Excuse my French. I have had barbecued hot dogs, I have had boiled hot dogs and, I even have had microwaved hot dogs. NEVER, have I ever had a deep fried hot dog. Oh Dear Jehovah up in the sky! Why have You never told me about this? Oh, that’s right, He’s Jewish. In front of me was placed a nicely sized hot dog inside a toasted hot dog bun. Not the size of store bought hot dogs. It’s quite larger. On top of that, cheese, chili and diced onions. It was DELICIOUS! I was tempted to have another but, there is that«problem» with my liver. The cheese and chili fries were good but, the standout here was definitely their deep fried hot dog. It was just a perfect combination of flavors. There are different options. Tonight I had The Fort Lee… DELICIOUS!!!

Reminds me of the hotdogs I grew up eating in New Jersey. These hotdogs are found in a trailer that has a set spot for lunch and attends different foodtruck events. It’s run by a transplant from NJ. They have several different types of hotdogs and a single or double slider with or without cheese and onions. I usually get the Soprano dawg. That’s a deep fried hotdog with grilled onions, peppers, and french fries. It’s so Delicious. Then I get a slider with cheese and onions. They’re very tasty and the potato roll works well with this master piece. The chili cheese fries are tasty as well. The orders usually come out quick depending how long the line is. They have a check in deal when you check in with Unilocal or if you have the Burger Beast app you can get a discount from there to.

Fried hot dog. Like a regular hot dog, but the weiner is fried. It’s better than those regular dogs… just don’t rush and burn yourself.

The food keeps getting better and better! Now my biggest issue is whether to have the burgers or the hot dogs! #foodieproblems Let ‘er rip! I cannot think of anything better than a fried hot dog loaded with chili, cheese, and onions on a Friday afternoon. If you think along the same lines, then have I got a place for you! This food truck serves the lunch crowd on the corner of Cypress Creek and Powerline Monday-Friday until 3pm(some days 2pm — follow them on Facebook for daily times). Serving famous NEw Jersey Rippers and Sliders with names like Soprano’s and Fort Lee’s.(it’s a Jersey thing…) The All-Beef Kosher Hot Dogs are fried until the skin is nice and crunchy yet maintaining the soft hot center of a traditional hot dog. Homemade chili, relish, or pushcart onions serve as one of the many toppings you can enjoy. If you haven’t had one yet, better hurry! Like Sliders? Single or double? Cheese, chili, sauteed onions… you get the picture? Check out their menu online: and order online. This is one hot dog(or slider) you don’t want to miss!

Unilocal Friendly Tip: When ordering a burger or dawg, use your Unilocal Check-in for a freebie order of fries. It’s just trailer hot dog stand with hours from 11:00 to 3:30pm but check their website to be sure of their schedule: For hot dogs, they have a pretty good menu from one entitled the«Ripper» onto which you have a choice of several toppings or you an order from a list of about 6 Specialty Dawgs preset toppings. I went for the Fort Lee which is basically their Ripper with a homemade slightly spicy chili, cheese and onion along with a Boylan Birch Beer and my complimentary Unilocal Check-in fries. The good thing about their dogs and fries are that their frying oils are real hot. Hence the dog come out with a crispy skin and the French fries are firm; nothing soggy or greasy about them and to prove it, after having had lunch, I didn’t have to deal with my gallbladder raising hell about it. They service is super quick, the staff friendly, nice and everything appears clean. Of course they also have a choice of burgers, but since I didn’t have any, I really can’t comment. For what it is, a portable hot dog trailer, what they offer is pretty darn good. Indeed, with many of the others I’ve tried, you could do a lot worse.

I’m kind of torn on this review. I’ve had Jersey Dawg a few times now at various events and sometimes it’s a 4 and sometimes it’s a 3. Probably leaning towards 4 for burgers and 3 for hot dogs — perhaps my limited exposure to hot dogs growing up just doesn’t have my taste buds geared towards what Jersey Dawg has to offer. The last time I tried them was at the 3rd Annual Hot Dog Fest(put on by Burger Beast). Steven C. was looking for a dog with chili on top — which seems to be a Jersey Dawg staple. We ordered the The Ripper with chili on top, cheese and diced onions. The hot dog itself was deep fried(without batter) so it took a few minutes to come out, and when it did we were warned not to burn our tongues. So of course, I burned my tongue lol… I’m notorious for this, so definitely my own fault. Everything about the dog — bread, chili, dog itself was good but nothing outstanding or driving me to get it again. Jersey Dawg frequents my work area for lunch(Corner of Powerline and Cypress at the Shell) so perhaps I should check them out again… and this time get a burger which I’ve previously raved about ;)

I’ve said it many times, I’ve never met a hot dog I didn’t like. I have been meaning to try Jersey Dawg for awhile as they are regularly parked at the corner of Cypress and Powerline near where I work, but ironically I didn’t try them until the Hollywood Arts Park food truck night(shout out to Burger Beast). I read over the menu carefully, and being from New York, I decided to go with the New Yorker. A «ripper»(it’s a fried hot dog, and it’s their thing here) with sauerkraut and«onion pushcart sauce». I have to admit I didn’t know what onion pushcart sauce was, but it turned out to be cooked onions in a red sauce. This sauce had more depth to it than ketchup with some spice notes to it(nutmeg? cinnamon?) and went well with the hot dog. I also love that it was on a potato roll… why isn’t everything on a potato roll? I will also say that I have tried Jersey Dawg burgers in the past at a Burger Beast event and was very impressed, so don’t discount the burgers just because it’s a hot dog cart. The guys working Jersey Dawg were very friendly and aimed to please. The hot dogs take 6 minutes to prepare to ensure you get a freshly fried meal. At this event they had a few stand-up tables set up so you could enjoy your meal. I am looking forward to trying Jersey Dawg again soon(I think next up will be the chilli/cheese).

The real deal, the hotdogs are deep fried and crack open when they cook em, just like in New Jersey. The home made relish is delicious. The home made Chili is delicious. The owner Rob is a really nice guy. There is something about happy people making my food that just makes me enjoy it more. You have to check their facebook page to see where they are scheduled to be at, but mostly week days lunches they are on the corner of Powerline and Cypress. I didn’t try the hamburger, but it looked delicious and they had a sign that mentioned they have awards for it. Yum.
