Perfect, intimate setting for a wine night. And nothing more. But what else does it need to be? I’m not a wine connoisseur, but I do enjoy wine now and again. So I can only speak for casual wine drinkers like myself who enjoy trying new types of wine in a unique and comfortable setting. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. I love their outdoor courtyard area with live music on certain nights. It really sets the whole mood. I couldn’t ask for much else. Check this place out.

Come for the wine, go elsewhere for the food. The wine care is really fun. When you come in, you get a free amount of one of their house wines(at least we did). That was nice as it allowed us to peruse the menu a bit and decide how much we wanted on the wine card. The two of us split a wine card — the best plan in my book as it seemed to even out perfectly. We were able to get 4 tastings of wine — a few of the more expensive wines on there — with 20 dollars. It was a fun experience and definitely worth coming in. It’s also nice because you have time to really look at the wines, look them up on your phone if you feel so inclined, and pick. Much better than the rush to order a drink right when you get somewhere! We ordered a cheese plate which was just OK. The other food didn’t entice, and in comparison to other places in the area, are a little overpriced for what they are. Our server was new and didn’t know much about the food. We didn’t really ask about the wine, and part of what I liked, was that I was on my own to explore. If you are someone who really enjoys recommendations and what not, I am not sure you would enjoy this.

had a wonderful birthday party in the charming courtyard. Wine selection was more than adequate, food was great, esp, the eggplant and salmon caprese . The server was good and Erica, the Mgr. was great. I will return.

A great place to try new wines. It’s hit or miss though sometimes I’ve been there and it’s absolutely dead and other times it’s been busy. The courtyard area is nice to sit and they have someone playing music. That’s kind of hit or miss too. One guy I heard signing like pop hits and he was holding a guitar not even playing. It totally took away from the ambiance. If they stuck to like a mellow more feel like sax player to something more wine-bar like it would be nicer. The prices are a little extreme but having the«card» system helps– some of the tastes though are $ 6! You have to watch out or your $$ doesn’t go so far.

My girlfriends and I had a Wonderful time at las olas wine café. Instead of opting for something crazy and wild, two weeks before my wedding my girls decided to take me here for a nice taste of wine. A very classy spot, with live music outside, interesting but secluded enough not to be caught in the hustle and bustle, we had an awesome time here. The food was great, we all shared tapas including the bruschetta, empanadas, and my favorite, the hummus(so flavorful). The ladies who worked here were sweet and accommodating. I have money left on my wine card(what a cool concept!) I’ll be back.

We stopped in the Las Olas Wine Café to take a break from shopping. It had a quaint little outdoor seating area hidden from the bustle on Las Olas Blvd. We ordered a chicken sandwich — although the chicken breast was bland, the hot roll was a delight. The house Sauvignon Blanc was very unimpressive — tasted like lightly flavored water. The server was personable, but did not seem to know much about the wine varieties. The café idea was good, but unfortunately, it was not implemented very well.

We stopped here for wine tasting and lunch during the Las Olas Art Fair. The wine tasting card idea was unique to us, and an interesting concept, in theory. What it really was, was a way to charge way too much for mediocre wine. Our time here started pleasantly enough, we were greeted pleasantly, and given an orientation to the self-serve wine bar. However, it soon became obvious, that our server knew nothing about the wine that was offered, though this did not stop her from trying to assist us, and others, in making wine selections. What was really over the top disgusting and unsanitary, was when one of us ordered a bottle of beer, which was brought to the table, by the owner of all people, carried in her dirty casted hand and arm. I understand that people get hurt, and casts and orthotics are necessary, but if you are a server, and especially if you are the owner of a food service establishment, DONOT serve and pour a beer with your dirty cast. Overall, the service was slow and the whole staff seemed disorganized, it took forever to get our bill and get away. Other thoughts: Do not add the cost of the wine card to the food service bill when we had to walk up and purchase it separately. This is a pretty lame way to try to inflate your gratuity.

Red or white… I’ll just have both. I got to try the house wines here, go for the Red, the white tastes terribly sweet and cheap. There are plenty of wines to chose from the wine dispensers that are robotically poured to measure a half glass or glass or your preferred wine. It works on a credit card system that you pay for money on the card, which sucks if you don’t come back for the remainder of your card funds. it happens. Las Olas Wine Café is tucked in an Alley way off of Las Olas beside Udder Sweets candy and Ice Cream store. It’s very charming with the hand painted art on the walls, and painted clouds on the outer edges of the outside building. There’s live music here too. I love live music. I came on a Friday night, and a one-man band was playing the Keyboard and Tam tams, with music on his laptop. quite talented and made it a relaxing night. This place serves delicious salads, sandwiches, and cheese platters to go with your wine, with wine pairing suggestions. I’ve had the salad here before and have been impressed. I would eat and drink here again, it’s a more laird back Las Olas than the rest of the strip.

It looks like experiences here are fully depending on the servers working the shift. Here is my first experience. We were welcomed nicely when we entered, as the night proceeded things just got sour real quickly. The lady who waited our table seemed like she had sampled 1 too many of her own products. Which makes sense because when we started various bottles turned out to run empty after 1 sample. When we asked to have them replaced, we were told the bottle was not available anymore or it was never replaced during our visit. The food was indeed good, but you may loose that high if you dare visiting the bathroom, and what is up with the 3 giant TV’s and the music choice… Katy Perry blaring her lungs out!!! It’s a wine bar, not a sports bar. It seems like this place could be good but they will need to seriously work on their customer service. NOT coming back or recommending this location.

Been wanting to try this place for awhile. Went yesterday for an afternoon glass of wine, was greeted by a friendly hostess who asked if it was our first time there and gave us a first glass free promo card. We sat ourselves and waited to get served for about twenty minutes till we finally got up and left. As we were walking out the waitress that never said hello or acknowledged us asked why we were leaving. We told her that she never came to get our drink order. She replied that she thought we knew to pour our own drinks… Blah blah blah. We still left and gave the free drink ticket back as ill never return to this place. Stick to cheese culture for much better service and wine selection. Nice atmosphere, too bad

Maybe we be got lucky, maybe they’ve read fellow Unilocalers reviews, maybe they’ve changed their staff, but my first visit to the intimate Las Olas Wine Café yielded a four star experience. Find it down a lil path from main street Las Olas and by an ice-cream/dessert shop that made me drool and through the courtyard that whispers art and euroness. Purchase a wine card, add $ to your card, then help yourself to three different sized pours, several bottles to choose from. It’s a small place, resembling the dining room of a house: Inside there’s a tv and three round dining tables. Red and white glasses are there for you to help yourself, and a menu of my favorite light bites, soups, salads, cheeses, all with a wine pairing recommendation. We sat inside, then out, then ventured back in again … the band was setting up when we left but we were invited back for the music with a friendly smile. I plan on stopping by again soon to grab a bite. If they’re consistent, especially with the friendliness, I’ll call it my secret spot and become a regular. Chinchin.

This place is cozy, nicely decorated and features indoor and outdoor seating. They have the wine sampling machines with over 40 wines by the Glass and a selection of bottled wines as well. They serve tapas, salads, and sandwiches. I tried the empanadas and croquettes which were both tasty! On Tuesday, they have a wine tasting for $ 20 which is why I was there. Its a great deal because at the end of the tasting your $ is applied toward a bottle purchase! Will be back!

Lovely place! I love the concept of the wine card and to be able to pour your own wine from the wine selection, which consists of about 15 different types of wines. The staff is very friendly and attentive, I have been here several times but it was the first time for 2 of my friends and they were given a wonderful introduction and to the process. I still have not tried the food but I will next time, I saw some tapas served and they looked wonderful. The Café is small but quaint and cozy and the sitting area outside is equally charming. They have live music in the evenings, its a great quiet spot for either friends or a romantic date.

REVIEWUPDATE: Out of love with LOWC. I have been back a couple times since that initial first visit and it has not been the same. The wine quality, selection and service seems to have gone down by a lot! I noticed the change the second visit and confirmed it the third. It’s really maybe a fun experience for wine novices to play around trying this one and that one. They no longer had Cakebread or Duckhorn either during the follow up visits which was disappointing. And l found the bathroom to be in less than desirable condition. Then, CROQUETAGATE happened. The last time I went I ordered some croquetas(they are exceptional). I asked if I could please have 4 instead of 3(since there were 4 of us and it only brings 3). It was as if I asked a really hard question. Blank stare. Blank stare. Blank stare. «Well, no, we can’t do that. It has to either be 3 croquetas or get an additional order of 3.» Huh? Here’s what you do, you make an extra one, fry it, serve it and charge me for it. That doesn’t seem too hard to me but apparently it was. «Let me go ask» she said. Denied. Back to square one. No extra croqueta for you! Wow. Alrighty then. We kind of laughed it off but it really wasn’t cool for them not to honor such a simple request. The place was full and we had to sit against a wall merging two small tables so that we could all fit. When a large party left, we were happy to be able to move to one single larger table so that we could all face each other instead of the wall. Oh, this was not cool apparently. The two ladies working stood there as we moved our own stuff, and only towards the end did they offer to move the remaining plates on the table as they graced us with an attitude. No one was waiting for those tables. This place is first come first serve. Forgive us for wanting to be more comfortable. Sourpuss party of 2? Requests for water refills went ignored. Imagine their face when I requested a new glass because the one I picked up was cracked? Like that was my fault too? God forbid I also have a clean glass when trying a new wine. Well, here’s what I now know. I am over LOWC. Keep your darn croquetas and crappy service. There are too many options out there for me to be dedicating time, energy or business on them any further. I am happy my birthday experience last year was a happy one but for now… On to the next one…

Very poor service. Extreme lack of wine knowledge. Place once was a chill spot on las olas but recently became a money first establishment. Sad to see it change for the worse since Las Olas needs more entertainment

Decent sandwiches. Fair wine selection(no prices on bottles for sale). Poor purchase policy. Poor service. We stopped by to try this out. It is in a little alley way off Las Olas. The interior was a familiar sight, wine in self serving vexing machines. You choose the wine and one of the 3 pour sizes. This is nothing new but the manner in which you participate is different that our prior experiences with this kind of dispensary. Elsewhere, you purchase by the actual drink(s). Here you need to purchase a card with a minimum purchase price. This means that you most likely will have some change left over on the card when you leave, unless you add to it and continue to drink. We didn’t like that. Next, the service was friendly but non-attentive. We were seated, read the rules, escorted to the counter to purchase our card, then basically ignored. We took our drinks, looked around, and noticed there was food. had to aggressively capture the servers attention to order some food. We moved from inside to out to finish all then wandered away never to return.

I came here on a Tuesday early afternoon at 12:00. The restaurant was empty which was good for me because I was celebrating my birthday that day. That should be taken intro perspective when reading my review. The service was great. The staff was very friendly and since I was there early I got a few free tastings since they were clearing out some bottles. The waitress even told me about tasting events that take place there. The food was amazing. I had a baguette with mozzarella and tomato and it was delightful. The wine selection is pretty good. They also have a good selection of cheeses, including my favorite– Brie. Also, the menu tells you which wine pairs well with the meal. Lastly, the pricing is very fair and parking is at those lots nearby for $ 3 first hour, $ 1.50 every hour after. You can eat here and then walk down to some boutiques! The little patio area is so cute and relaxing. Definitely want to go back in the fall time and enjoy that little area. I recommend this place for anyone that is a wine & cheese connoisseur.

Las Olas can be a sleepy strip, busy with curious tourists, or romantic and relaxing. Sometimes, you don’t necessarily want to dine in a cramped area with your neighbors plate within arms reach, and sometimes, you have no choice. Dining choices are a plenty, whether it be Caffe Europa, Solita, Cheesecake Factory, Johnny V, etc. The same places you always see, that you ultimately resort to out of hunger and wanting to make an executive decision before turning into a grumpy troll. That is, until you walk to the ‘almost end’ of the strip about to do a turn around, and you come across this sign. Almost magazine-ishly glossy/flossy, it demands you read it.(Plus, anything that says Wine Café, my ears perk up like a Rhodesian Ridgeback at sight of a confused rabbit.) There was this corridor that made you want to enter, so… of course we entered. It leads you to a terrace area by a big shady tree and small wrought iron tables. Upon entrance to the actual shop is a row of wine dispensers. Our server informed us that the cases are pumped with Argon… Argon? I scanned my brain and remembered that my grade school teacher told us that Argon gas was used inside museum cases to preserve artifacts, hence, keeping the wine fresh. Friday and Saturday nights they have live music and the chef came out to tell us that on occasion, comes out to sing Knocking on Heaven’s Door without a mic, and we ensured him we would definitely make it back for that. Great wine selections to choose from. Purchase a wine card and you can taste test as you go, buy a bottle @ retail price(+$ 10 corkage fee), or order by the glass.

Good food, great service, small portions, a bit pricey This little gem is set back off of Las Olas with the cutest little courtyard. It has wine machines inside, where you purchase a card and use that to vend either a taste, half glass, or full glass. It’s a fun experience, though the wine choices seemed a bit weak. It can get really pricey and the money on your card dissolves fast, so you expect a certain level of quality in the selections. It you are going to purchase two glasses, you are better served buying a bottle. The cost is equal. The food was tasty, but the portions were small for Tapas. Overall, the place felt a bit overpriced for what it is. Otherwise, the servers were incredibly friendly and we enjoyed the few hours we spent here. The location is nice if you’re looking to be on the strip, but to get away from the bustle of Las Olas. You barely even realize it is there at first. I always like to give new restaurants a few visits before passing judgement, so I definitely think we’ll return.
