I decided to try this place(on a whim) and it wasn’t bad. I ordered the grilled chicken sub and it was actually a fairly big sub. I wish it came with a bag of chips, side of fruit, etc. The reason that I don’t mention fries(or onion rings) is that they don’t have a fryer. I found this kind of odd; however, I shrugged it off and went with the sub by itself. The owners were really nice and they seem to care about their customers. If they had combos that included at least a side and possibly a drink, I see myself going here a lot more. I just feel that I can get more for the money at other places. I still like this place and will go back; however, just not as often as other sub shops.

You won’t find a better sub shop in town. Freshly baked bread(daily), brownies and cookies, quality meats … it the antidote to all those other chain«sub outlets»… I had the meatball parm and it was way more meatball than bread. You can tell a lot about a place by the number of regular customers and during the lunchtime-rush hour I was there the owners Greg & Jean greeted almost all of them by name. Executives, mechanics from the airport and everyone in between you can tell MLH is a neighborhood fixture. Give it a try ! And look for the hoagie legging it out to first on the wall!

Philly cheese steaks are highly recommendable. Brownies are to die for. Great customer service and fast. Never have had an issue with this place. They cater. Very friendly, down to earth. Makes you feel right at home.

Food and service is great! Been eating here since I first started my job across the street from it. They have the best homemade brownies in town! Definitely a great lunch spot.

This place is GREAT!!! Incredible food, always fresh and the staff is very attentive. Very inexpensive for the quality and quantity of their food. The Stromboli is awesome! We stop EVERY time we are in the area and you should too! Tell Greg we sent you he is «The Man» actually he is the SUBKING!

Doesn’t look like much from the outside but they have excellent food. This is definitely a locals secret. You have to try the meatball sub… AMAZING!!! Prices are fair and the service is amazing. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

I read about Major League Heros on Unilocal and seeing a four stars rating for what is a little sandwich shop thought I ought to give it a try. When I first approached the place, thinking I would review it, I snapped a picture of it from the outside. The owner apparently saw me, burst open the front door saying in a laughing tone, «Hey! You with the FBI?» At first, since I’ve been met with a lot of hostility by restaurant proprietors for taking picture, I was leery but told him«No, just an average guy who enjoys doing Unilocal reviews.» Well, when I said that he got a huge smile, made a big laugh, and said«I love you Unilocalers, you come on right in, snap all the pics want and write up whatever you think.» After enjoying the place and his food, I can see why he said that. It’s because he has nothing to fear from we Unilocalers or our reviews. It’s just a little hole in the wall sandwich, take out, delivery and fast food shop that doesn’t even have any seating tables inside, just a dinning counter, but whips up some pretty good Philly Cheese steaks, Cubans, a variety of other sandwiches and goods but which are all fresh, tasty and at more than reasonable prices. I had my heart set on trying one of his Philly cheese steaks, his most famous, but since the special of the day was a Cuban I went for that. The price was a mere $ 8.99 which included any canned soda plus a small bag of Lay’s potato chips. For that price, I didn’t expect much, but was surprised. The Cuban was full 10 incher, properly done, contained all of the proper ingredients of a Cuban in a particularly good fresh pressed Cuban bread bun. For a little hole in the wall, the food is good, but better than that is the warm friendly personal atmosphere that to turns even the simplest of places into what is actually an enjoyable dining experience.

Major League Heros is my go to spot for subs, wraps or sandwiches.(It helps that I work 2 minutes down the road). Their bread and deli meats are super fresh and produce is always crisp. There’s a big list of toppings to choose from and they’re very flexible with customization. For most of their subs they offer a regular size(8″) which is more than enough food or for the really big eater a large(10″) on either a white or whole wheat roll. You can also choose from white, rye or whole wheat sliced bread. You can turn any sub into a wrap(whole wheat, spinach, tomato basil or garlic) which is what I usually end up doing. The sandwiches all come loaded generously with meat and toppings. My absolute favorite is their chicken salad. Probably the best I’ve had anywhere. It’s fresh and the flavor isn’t drowned out by too much mayo. They put just enough without sacrificing flavor. They have great salads as well. Huge portions with lots of toppings. They have chicken noodle soup and homemade chili offered fresh daily. I can’t say it’s the best chili I’ve had but certainly tasty and worth the price at $ 3.99 a cup and $ 4.99 a bowl. They have a wonderful assortment of sides including Dirty brand chips(a personal favorite). They offer fountain sodas, bottled sodas and teas and a fresh brewed, unsweetened tea. Now let me talk about the Stromboli!!! A must try when eating at ML. Again, I can’t say it’s the best I’ve had but definitely delicious. The Stromboli is huge! Enough for two people and is filled with generous portions of assorted meats and cheeses. Comes with a side of homemade marinara. And at $ 8.99, an excellent value. You cannot come to ML and not have one of their desserts. They have jumbo sized(and I mean jumbo) rice crispy treats, brownies(with or without nuts), chocolate chip cookies or oatmeal raisin cookies. These treats are homemade, fresh, daily by the staff. ML is not a fancy establishment by any means and there’s only a few seats inside if u decide you want to eat there(and if there’s even any room) but the food will speak for itself.

Pretty solid subs. Italian is very good, chicken Philly is good, regular Philly is good, Rachel is good. Their iced tea tastes weird. Overall: good place, try it.

Good sandwiches but a little pricey. Place is small. Inside is tiny and there is minimal seating out front. Owner is rude. There is usually confusion when I call in and I am put on hold and various people pick up the phone and attempt to take my order. In addition, every time I call in they mess my order up somehow.

I will typically hit this place up on my work-time lunch break. I have been raving about South Florida deli shops. I never seem to be disappointed in them, and just when I think one can’t be outdone, another comes along and surprises me. On the inside, they have a sports-oriented theme with sports-related decorations adorning the walls. It’s small, and is built for pick-up or take-out. They do have places to sit down on the inside, and some chairs/tables on the outside, however. I’m fairly predictable if my previous Unilocal reviews have anything to say about my personality. Yes. You guessed it. I ordered a turkey sub with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. Subsequently, I only add onions if they’re white and marinated. I despise red onions in subs, but absolutely adore them in salads. I’ll typically order the Dirty brand kettle chips, too. They complement the sub in ways I can’t appropriately describe. They’re a must. If you work in the neighborhood, give this place a try. It caters to you business-class and working-class folks who line Cypress Creek and Commercial, as well as Andrews and Powerline.

Saw this place on Unilocal while I had to kill some time and decided to drop in. I love subs and it’s hard to find a good sub shop around here besides la spadas so u will admit I am very critical about my sub. The bread needs to be crispy yet soft on the inside and man this place hit the nail. They are known for their Philly cheesesteak which is one of my fav’s so of course I had to get that. The staff is super friendly and my sub was delivered with a nice smile in a reasonable time and with good conversation. I will definitely hit this place again even when I’m not in the area. Worth the trip but they’re only open from 10 – 3 during the week so make sure you check them out!

I learned about this place out through a co-worker, who raved about their subs. I had to try it out for myself, and Major League Heros did not disappoint! Upon arrival, I was greeted by the owner, who personally took my order. We chatted briefly as they worked up my Italian sub. I ordered to go, and couldn’t wait to dive in once returning back to the office. Unlike other establishments(ie Jimmy John’s, Adam’s Subs, etc.) Major League Heros isn’t shy with their meats. They pile it on generously, and let me also say the freshness stands out. The bread was also noticeably soft and fresh. I can’t tell you how many times a sandwich is ruined by stale bread. Not here. I will be returning to try out their cheese steak. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.

Ok… My husband swears by this place and eat there about 2 – 3 times a week. I finally gave it a try. Hands down the best Tuna salad sandwich I ever had. The staff is super nice and the service is fast. Little hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale :)

I wish I could give 0 stars. A coworker and I decided to try this little shop when someone was walking around handing out flyers. We ordered lunch just before 12 and didn’t get our food until 1:20 which was after being told that the driver is 5 minutes away for the past 25 minutes! Finally after getting our food, I open up the box to see what I thought was a steak and cheese sandwich. It was a toasted hoagie roll with like 3 strips of steak and melted, now hard cheese. My coworker’s hamburger sub was also incorrect as it had yellow American cheese instead of white. He ordered a diet coke and got a sprite. So we waited what seemed like a long time for 2 subs when they are literally 5 minutes away from us. So my coworker was pretty pissed and called up the shop to tell him how he felt; just to be told that the reason the steak sub is flimsy is because I only ordered it with cheese and no other toppings. Really? So they said they would send 2 more subs as long as we didn’t eat the ones delivered. I never said it didn’t taste good, but for $ 8 for a small steak sub, I want it to be decent. So after waiting for the food, you want me to wait some more and not eat what’s right in front of me? So the owner pulls up like a hot shot and demands for the food back and also asks to see the soda to prove that a sprite was delivered. For someone who wants local business, I think pissing off and doing a horrible job the first time was not the way to go. Especially since business’ are the ones who order out the most. Thank you for the replacement subs, but that wasn’t the point of our feedback.

Outstanding food, service and staff. I ordered lunch for a business meeting for Major League and they were spot on with EVERYTHING. The food was great! Everyone loved the items they ordered… the sandwiches are huge! The names were placed on the respective items. Delivery time was exact. They were so skilled with handling our corporate event, I could think of no higher praise than to let others know. The Brownies and rice crispy treats… pure deliciousness! I highly recommend!

I drive by this place every time I work at the Executive Airport(my job keeps me busy and constantly moving). Today I decided to simply stop in for a sandwich as I always see the ads/signs on Commercial. Bottom line, it’s small, counter service… 10 barstools; the kind of place locals would eat at on their lunch breaks. A very sports oriented motif, and the staff was friendly. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with only two patrons ahead of me… 12 minutes later, and suffering through conversation from who I would assume was an owner, my order was ready and I was off to work. For $ 7 and change, I would have like a little more meat on the sandwich, nonetheless, the sandwich was really good. The sign they had on the wall summed it up well, «Fast food is not good, and good food is not fast». Think I’ll come back and try one of their specialty sandwiches, or maybe the«fresh daily» stromboli
