The store itself is well stocked and clean. The employees I encountered were polite and left me to shop on my own. That may be attributed to the fact that it was raining and I came in soaked and may or may not have looked like a crazy woman.
I ended up getting what I needed and getting out of there pretty quickly. I think their prices are super high for what they sell. They do have decent clearance sales and unique holiday décor. So 2 points for them right there.
At check out, I pulled up a 20% off coupon from the website on my phone and the cashier happily scanned it for me.
Good store, but it’s definitely a rich persons version of Home Goods.

i work in retail so i know the game. but the employees here are ridiculously annoying and invasive! after a long day at work i just wanted to look to see what this store had and enjoy some alone time. apparently pier 1 is NOT the place to do it! from the moment i walked in the door i was hounded relentlessly by employees. «what are you looking for today? this chair is on sale! and over here this chair cover is also on sale and…» i walked away. i can see with my own eyes i don’t need you to hover over me telling me every item on sale. but a few seconds later another employee ambushed me «and just what are you looking for today?» «i’m just looking.» and turned away. please, i just want to shop in peace! but this guy kept bothering me «well i just want to make sure you like what you see?» really? it’s obvious i just want to shop leave me alone. i gave him a «are you crazy?» look and said «i just want to look around!» and turned away. he kept talking «well what do you need today?» obviously i didn’t respond. not a minute went by when another employee walked quickly across the store calling out to me «do you need help with anything over here? what are you shopping for today?» «i’m just looking!!» i said quite annoyed. she didn’t leave, though, and kept standing there staring at me with a plastic smile on her face. i looked at her and said «i’m fine!» as in, please don’t stand over my shoulder the entire time i’m shopping here! evidently she wasn’t going to move so i walked into another aisle. you guessed it, the first guy came over in just a few seconds «can i help you with anything?» REALLY??? this is the most annoying shopping experience i can remember having. leave people alone when they CLEARLY tell you they don’t need any help, they are fine, and they just want to look without you standing at their elbow the entire time. i had picked up something to buy, but after that experience i put it back and walked out. i’m not going to reward a store with the most annoying invasive employees with a purchase. back off your customers! i did notice other customers getting ambushed as well, or else i would think they were profiling me or something. i wasn’t the only customer with invasive employees at my every move, but this is NOT the way to deal with customers. when customers shop, they want to be left alone to look and browse at their leisure. trust me, if customers have a question they will find you!

This place is practically stacked to its ceiling with various household and decorative items which though not top of the line are all rather good and being retailed at reasonable prices. It’s a great place to shop for glassware, candles, mugs, place mats, pillows, smaller items of furniture, artificial flowers, vases and the like. Though not a big store, there is plenty here to see and the selection is vast with each item being well displayed. The clerks are pleasant, friendly, polite and it has a pleasant atmosphere about that I find very conducive for just browsing about.
Over the years I’ve purchased a lot items from here such as plastic place mats, mugs and glassware (I’m famous for breaking stemware) for use on my boat and have always be pleased with my purchases and the reasonable prices I paid.

Great customer service! The ladies that work I here are very helpful! The store is a basic Pier 1– nothing out of the ordinary EXCEPT for their sale section– LOVE IT! It’s huge, organized, and if they only have 1 or 2 of an item and you need more, the ladies are willing to call other locations for you!
