Smashburger

This was my first time at Smashburger and I must say, it was a very cool place. Nice, casual décor with table seating both inside and outside. The menu is small with a variety of Smashburger and Smashchicken in unique flavors & ingredients, fresh salads, fries & sides, and drinks & shakes. You can even create your own Smashburger or Smashchicken with your choice of buns, cheeses, sauces & toppings, and add-​ons.
I was warmly greeted as I approached the counter and ordered a BBQ, bacon & cheddar Smashburger with french fries and a drink. I was impressed that the food was prepared and served to me very quickly. The Smashburger, along with the large amount of thin cut fries was delicious and I enjoyed every bite of it. The Staff was very courteous and friendly, and the prices are decent. I would definitely pay this place a visit again whenever I’m in the area.

Gluten-​free buns available. Service is always fast and friendly and the Salted Caramel Milkshakes will have you coming back!

I’m usually not a fan of the chains, but I had a good experience at this Smashburger location. First of all, my barbecue burger was good. I ordered the half-​pound one that comes with crispy onions (onion rings). Deandrea, the person who took my order, was very helpful, polite and efficient. She’s definitely earning her keep. I like the rosemary and olive oil Smashfries, except that they are shoestring potatoes, which I do not like at all. I ordered unsweetened tea and was given a red plastic cup. I like proper dishes whenever possible, so this was a welcome change from the cardboard cups you usually get (although they have those here, too).

This is my go-​to-​mid-​range burger spot. If I’m compariing them to Five Guys and BurgerFi, I like them best. The truffle burger is great. The fries are thin and crispy and amazing. You can have a beer. All around a good burger choice

The one star is because the food arrived quickly and Unilocal does not allow zero stars. We did not enjoy our first experience at Smashburger. We ordered the Classic Smashburger and Haystack onions. The food was salty and greasy. The bread was not adequate to hold up under the juice of the beef. While the burger and toppings seemed fresh it had no taste other than salty. The Haystack onions were absolutely the worst I have ever sampled; fried grease is all I can come up with to describe them with a taste of salt. The canned onions people buy for green bean casseroles around holiday time taste better. Worst of all we both felt sick after eating it and the indigestion lasted several hours. I would not return as McDonalds and Wendys is preferable. To say we were disappointed with the experience is being kind.

This location seems very clean, and the staff is friendly. The veggie burger is pretty decent, but the fries are not the greatest. They’re really thin which is kind of annoying because it makes me want to shove twenty in my mouth at a time, and that’s just not a good look. The milkshakes are pretty good. Overall I feel Smashburger is a bit pricey for what you get. There are better options around for a veggie burger, and most anywhere you go will have better french fries.

Great, quick burgers, chicken sandwiches or shakes at affordable prices.
Conveniently located on federal in a frequented shopping plaza, we end up here for quick meals quite a bit. (It helps that my 3yo will usually finish the Kids’ Smash Burger on his own!)
Overall the burgers have all been good. I wish the patties were slightly thicker, but the flavors of the burger as a whole is still good.
Service is excellent. The staff is helpful, on pointe and attentive. Anytime you need a staff member they appear– it’s like they are reading your mind!

The Avocado Club Smash burger is definitely one of my favorites (the other is the Truffle Mushroom Burger). I love that it is served with the cold items (avocado/​tomato) freshly cut separate from the warm burger side. Each bite contains the cool, crisp bite of a fresh tomato along with cool, creamy avocado just before you taste the warm burger. My only issue is I wish the burger patty was slightly thicker, but otherwise it is delicious.
The Kids Smashburger is a smaller version of their classic burger– cheese, burger and an egg bun. Served with choice of milk, chocolate milk, apple juice or fountain drink. My son eats this burger by himself and usually finishes it.
My hubby likes to Create his own burger with fresh cut jalapeños, pickles, onions, cheddar cheese and fried egg.
The Buffalo Seasoned Fries were the same skinny fries they usually serve with an orange seasoning on top. These were average– probably wouldn’t order these again. Not sure what I expected, but this was definitely not it.
Overall, easy stop for a good, quick and inexpensive meal!

This place offers deliciously fresh homemade buns and burgers which you can tailor to your taste by dressing them up as you like, and skinny fries. Everything tastes fresh, is made on the spot, and the place is immaculately clean. The first one I tried was in Panama, Central America. The cook and cashier were very pleasant. I hope they open one in Miami-​Dade County, Florida!

As a fast food burger it was very good, I like the big SINGLE piece of lettuce (rather than chopped up pieces from BK) pickle tomato and a great bun, GREAT french fries.
BUT for the price I can sit down at MOMS (look it up) and have a better burger fries and drink at the same price, and the meat comes from SMITTY’S meat market next door…

Very poor customer service! Everyone’s had a poor ghetto attitude. No one said hi or welcome, thank you nothing. It was $ 10.89 for a bacon burger fries and a drink! I will not go back again!

This is an average burger. I’d expect a little bit thicker burger for a large. (7oz) but I guess the smash is when they flatten it to resemble a McDonalds burger patty.
I ordered it with the spicy chipotle sauce and pepper jack cheese for a little spice, it was ok, but a bit salty.
I hate shoestring fries. Get some steak fries people!!!

Ft. Lauderdale… The chicken breast was very, very thin, about half the thickness of a nickel (I took a photo). The burgers were also slightly smaller than most competitors. The shakes were very runny, like cold chocolate milk with whipped cream on top. The fries were a bit thin too, in between those of McDonalds and Steak and Shakes. The high-​lite was the black bean burger, it wasn’t near as bad.

SmashBurger on 3 – 15 federal highway just north of galleria mall — burger was similar to meat consistency of Jack Hamburgers — didn’t like that it comes automatic w/​cheese -& the skinny steak & shake type fries — but overall all fresh & was ok to good — 6.5

The food was amazing great taste of the burger, my husband and I we love it and the service was great she was really nice, and friendly. The shoes are amazing I try the strawberry shake and I love it but my favorite was the Oreo milkshake ohhhhhhh what amazing combination definitely I will come back to this place.

This was my first visit to Smashburger while I was in the Ft Laudy area. The look and feel of the restaurant reminded of me a Mr Moe’s or Pei Wei, where you form a line against the wall and grab a menu to look at what you’d like. Very organized! The lady who took our order was very kind and polite.
For the menu, all of the options seemed so good, I wanted to try them all! I ended up going for a create your own burger. They have a similar style like this in burger places in Miami.
I’d have to say, the service was super fast. I ordered a milkshake and burger with onion rings while my fiancé had a burger as well and French fries. We received the milkshake within the minute! Then just a few minutes later at the blink of an eye, our food came out. I was astounded, I have never received such quick service!
The regular fries — WOW! Reminded me of Steak n Shake fries. Just as addicting and I couldn’t stop munching. The onion rings had a nice batter to it, but it was pretty salty.
The burger — not so wow. I was slightly disappointed in how tasteless it was, it wasn’t seasoned at all. The condiments that came with the burger was basically the only flavors I got. In my opinion, I believe a burger should be able to stand alone in taste and flavor without a mountain of toppings. Ill have to try another burger next time.

My daughter and I went back for lunch. I had the new blue cheese burger and fries. She had a cheese burger, fries and a chocolate Oreo Shake. She couldn’t finish her meal because it was too salty. Me burger was good and I love their skinny fries.
The place is clean and not crowded during mid afternoon.

This is base on takeout.
We ordered two burger, sweet potato fries and fried pickles.
Let me start with the fried pickles. They were REALLY good albeit a bit salty when dipped in the ranch dressing (as they got colder they weren’t as good, the batter started to clump up).
Sweet potato fries were pretty good, almost great.
The burgers were top notch. I had a cheese burger with avocado and that thing was absolutely delicious. I like burgers that aren’t perfectly round, they look like a burger you would make on your own grill.
I’m not a fan of fast food, not a fan of five guys so this is going to be a new burger staple in my life!

Decent burgers coupled with below average service and portions equals a three star review.
I had hopes that this place would exceed the typical Five Guys/​Burger Fi experience when it first opened. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
While the burgers continue to be tasty, the person taking our order was not exactly friendly and as a consumer who is willing to shell out about $ 10 per person for fast food, I expect a bit more than less than enthusiastic service.
If anything SB can learn a thing or two from their competitors, including better service and larger portions on the a la carte fries. $ 1.99 for the equivalent of a kids size portion of fries at MIckey D’s just doesn’t cut the mustard. If you want your Burger joint to stand out above the rest, the very first impression of the consumer should not be, «Is this all of it?»
By the way, with regards to service… if the folks at SB had been as friendly as the guy bringing over the food and cleaning tables, service would not be an issue as he was terrific.
May consider a return visit, but at this point cannot recommend.

I’m a fan of Smashburger, I think their menu has some unique options and the food tastes great.
I’m bringing this location a 3 star review however because of cleanliness. I’m not one to usually notice dirty floors etc, but when I have to wipe food off of my chair before I sit down, the floor is littered with trash and the bathroom is also filthy it tends to put me in a bad mood. Keep in mind the restaurant was pretty empty when I was there and the staff was attempting to pick up some of the bigger items, but on dark floors you really need to be sweeping frequently.
Back to the food. On this particular visit we had the goat cheese salad with chicken and the goat cheese salad on a burger. No complaints on food, or size of food for the price. I’ll definitely be back, but hopefully the restaurant will be a tad cleaner.
