This restaurant displays the authenticity and integrity that supercedes any taco bar I’ve been to in the United States. The sopa de fideos was simply amazing! I’m a sucker for soups anyways but the angel hair pasta in tomato based broth brought back memories of being a child. I also often crave their chile poblano soup which is filled with so much flavor and is topped with queso fresco & fresh tortilla chips. Mhm. I pay attention to the little things like how a restaurant makes me feel, how the food not only tastes but how it’s presented, and how clean the place is. Don’t get me wrong I love a taco truck like any other but this is high quality authentic family own restaurant that is simply not comparable. Overall, I’m very impressed and consider myself a regular.

What a pleasant surprise. Best Mexican food around. We were a party of five and ordered steak quesadilla, shrimp tostadas, mahi mahi tostadas, chorizo con queso, tacos de pollo, tacos al pastor, alfajoles and arroz con leche. Everything was fantastic. And our waitress the best. We are definitely coming back. We are going to become regulars.

Good food, great service and nice décor. We had the soup on Monday night and it lived up to the hype. I want to go back and try all the soup. I ordered the special enchiladas and they were good and definitely needed the chipotle sauce kick as suggested by the waitress. It is a little pricey for what you get($ 5 for a smallish bowl of soup) and they chips and salsa are not free, which they should be if you charge that much money. Easy location with parking. I will definitely go back and try more items on the menu because so much of it sounded really good.

We arrived at 9:30 pm today to try for first time this place. The girl behind the counter ran to the door as soon she saw us to let us know the kitchen was closed. I would like to know what the owner thinks about disrespecting people offering a schedule till 10 pm and then refused service at 9:30 pm. That is how you lose customers, hiring lazy people!!! UNBELIEVABLE

First time here. I loved the vibe of the place, great décor, very attentive staff. Ordered the tacos al pastor, very tasty and fresh my only complaint? the portion was really small for the price. I did however notice other orders coming out were of a good size so I’ll know to order something different next time I come back.

Delicious ! Amazing ! I have been in the food industry around 20 years, specialized in Mexican food, and Taco Bar brings the dishes as the authentic Mexican families. It’s a must if you’re around Fort Lauderdale or even Miami aerea. My recommendations are the guacamole as starter, the soups are delicious and definitely you should ask for the«Taco de Cochinita», «Tacos de pastor» and the«Shrimp tostada», yummmiiii ! Don’t forget to try all the salsas ;) Service is incredible, fair price, super clean and amazing deco ! Super buena onda todo !!!

This place is small and cute– the décor was well thought out and adorable. The kitchen is semi open concept to where to can sit at the counter and see some of the action. A slow spinning piece of pineapple marinating meat, tortilla chips sizzling in the fry daddy, and a team clad in skull chef hats cutting and assembling street style tacos is a pretty common scene. The super bubbly waitress will come around and chat, make suggestions, explain the menu, run food and cash you out all with a cool and relaxed vibe. I now have had a few items on the menu and i am definitely more of fan than the nearby nearby(also new and overhyped) taco/Mexican joint. I will say the ceviche is not my most fav– it’s tomato based and slightly sweet. I guess i prefer a more citrusy, Peruvian style. Guac and salsa are good, chips are crunchy and perfectly salted. I have had tacos al pastor, which are tiny and come 3 to an order. Next time i would ask for onions, tomatoes and cilantro on top, as it is served pretty straight forward. Chicken tacos need a bit more toppings as well. Chicken tinga is delicious, tostada is great and i am dying to try the torta. I wish they had horchata, however they do have beer micheladas, which is a plus in my book!

I almost feel bad for writing this review because the girls that work here are so nice… The guacamole here was awesome, but everything else fell short. The entrees don’t come with sides which is whatever I guess — but the entrees we ordered had no flavor whatsoever… None. In an area where you can get tacos on every block, they really need to step it up or they will go out of business.

Tacos bland with spoiled tasting shrimp on the tostadas, not worth it! Taco Bell even puts more on the tacos than this place. I was disappointed when their«signature» tacos only had onion on top of greasy bland meat. Place looks nice but let’s be real here it’s about the food. I would be happier eating off a food truck where the tacos taste fresh and authentic and they are not so stingy with the toppings!

Don’t judge a book by its cover. If you are passing by this restaurant on Oakland Park, then you may not be prone to stop in. It’s located in a somewhat shoddy shopping plaza. But give it a shot, because the food is great as is the atmosphere and service. The menu is quite expansive for a place that is catering to providing tacos. In fact, the drinks options are nice as well despite not having a liquor license. Try a Mexican beer with a twist(there are many options including using Worcester sauce). Sounds weird but quite tasty. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. We went on Cinco de Mayo and they had a Mariachi band. Give it a try and maybe sit at the bar to watch your food being cooked in front of you.

Despite underwhelming and tragically inauthentic-feeling food, No-Name Taco Bar is a really well-designed, enjoyable place to be. Our server was just incredible. I wanna say her name was Jennifer? But I couldn’t say for sure. She made the experience so worthwhile and that’s rare in a server. I loved the aesthetic of the restaurant and the prices, especially during happy hour, were good to reasonable. I had the chicken soft tacos, which I thought were fine, if a little flavorless. A dip in the pico de gallo or guacamole alleviated that problem. All-in-all I see myself returning there. The location is prime and the experience was pleasant enough that I would bring others to the Taco Bar.

Been passing by this place for a while and we finally stopped. Very glad we did! We have been back another time since(the next night) and plan to make this a regular«thing». Had the steak quesadilla the first time and chicken the second. Plan to try some of the tacos next time. In fact I’ll be working my way through the entire menu and will update when I have feedback. Great both times! Service is awesome(Peter is great! I think his daughter is one of the servers. She’s also awesome). Love the salsa too! Definitely check it out. And if you’re looking to relax, the white sangria is excellent! Get a pitcher!

I found it in a small and in a random strip of stores… but DELICIOUS! Jennifer the waitress was phenomenal — did not expect a 5 star waitress in a small restaurant but ask for her… had the 3 variety tacos all very yummy, smaller and more traditional, also had the enchiladas which were even better… meat was flavorful and plentiful — good size portion. Also– there was this zucchini soup that I didn’t order but wish I did… so good. Small 20ish person dining area few tables out side… new– clean… I wanna go back !

Service was friendly and attentive but food was just ok. Not particularly flavorful, starting w the guacamole which seemed to lack salt. Side salsa was forgotten off of two dishes(quesadilla and a steak). Steak was nothing special. It’s a cute and trendy place but the food is not authentic tasting nor flavorful.

Taco bar is the first Mexican place I can say meets my expectations. We went for dinner last night. I was amazed they have a michelada menu(Something difficult to find). I wish there was something in Miami like this. I got the regular michelada and the taco special. Good tortilla. The cochinita pibil actually tastes like cochinita, my boyfriend got the enchiladas verdes, spicy enough! Also cheap. If you’re from Miami you need to go to try this place. I hate that all«good» Mexican restaurants in Miami are too expensive.(besides Mi rinconcito Mexicano)

If you happen to be a taco aficionado you can’t do much better than Taco Bar. Unlike so many of what are merely big chain operations producing what are nothing more than Americanized replications of Mexican tacos, Taco Bar is for real. Furthermore it’s not big chain and has none of that chainy taco joint feeling or atmosphere about it. It’s actually a taco restaurant; has a really cool spotlessly clean modern whimsical décor with custom artwork celebrating Mexico’s «Day of the Dead»(Día de Muertos) and the spiritual journey of the departed. For my meal I had their Taco de Filete, a Mexican soda, corn tortillia chips and guacamole. The Taco de Filete was presented with a generous cut of tasty meat done rare as ordered, nicely garnished with enhancement sides of gaucamole, mushrooms, a refried bean like paste and soft taco shells. Priced at $ 14.95, it was not only a bargain, but delicious in taste as well. As for my guac and tortillia chips, the guacamole was fresh, had a clean taste with subtle flavors and heat. Really very good and at $ 6.99, very resonable in price. As a final word, I found the staff of Taco Bar to be friendly and polite as well as professional.

I won’t lie, the pink window trim & sugar skull logo is what drew me in to the Taco Bar– if I had a life logo, it would probably include the color pink & sugar skulls somewhere on it. Anywho, the fact that the cute curb appeal led the way into a new Mexican joint was more than I could resist & I had to check it out right away. Upon entering, I wasn’t sure what to do or where to go as there wasn’t a hostess stand or an order/checkout line so I was relieved when the hostess came up to me & directed me to take a seat wherever I felt comfortable– the restaurant is small with only 6 tables so I quickly grabbed one of the 8 seats at the bar, which allowed me to watch the cook work his magic on the grill. The waitress was pleasant, but I wouldn’t say she was friendly(I didn’t deduct any stars for this as I realize this is South Florida & it’s difficult to find genuinely friendly people in the retail/restaurant world so I’ve come to accept this as customary out here). However, the gentleman manning the grill wore an infectious smile & was very friendly & offered some vegetarian suggestions that aren’t on their menu for my next visit– he even gave me a sample of the mushrooms they use in the dishes & I must say, they were quite tasty(note to self, order a dish with the mushrooms next time!). My veggie tostada was fresh & presented very well– it could’ve used a bit more flavor or spice, but after speaking with the friendly grill man, I found out they offer a spicier salsa which I will most definitely request next time to add that extra oomph of flavor I think it needed. After my meal, I was given a complimentary cup of cucumber mint water which I was told is good for soothing the stomach; this was a nice touch that I appreciated but I couldn’t help but think this might come off to some as suggesting their food may upset a stomach– maybe it’s just me but I would offer some other reason as to why they serve this after-dinner water concoction. My meal, which consisted of the small but adequate veggie tostada & a cup of water came up to $ 6.35, which is a bit pricy considering I can go to Zona Fresca & get the same quality food with chips & salsa for less, but Taco Bar’s food presents as gourmet & it is a cute place so I suppose they can get away with charging a little more. They have a cute theme & I did enjoy my meal & chatting with the grill man so I will definitely be a returning customer(I might even bump them up to 4 stars after I try out some other menu options). Parking is metered so make sure to bring change or install the Pay by Phone app. Oh and I LOVE their skull wallpaper– I need to find out where I can buy it for myself!

Amazing new restaurant! The food is out of this world. It is 100% authentic made by the family which runs and owns the restaurant. They also happen to always be there, which is certainly a plus. Aside from the food being perfect, the décor and ambiance are amazing. My new favorite restaurant!!!

Yum! This place far exceeded my expectations. I had the soup of the day(poblano) and it was spicy creamy and delicious. One of the best soups I’ve had in restaurants around here. The waitress told me her aunt made it and it tasted homemade and hearty. I had some tortilla chips with a nice fresh guacamole and some tasty salsa. All the food looked fresh and appealing and the décor was clean and modern. I hope this place is around for a long time because I plan to return often.

Been there twice since they opened. Nice décor good food a great concept but potions are too small. First time I left hungry and second time I spent too much. The three taco plates will leave you wanting for two more but at $ 4 for a single mini tacos you might go looking else where. I brought it up with the waitress who is the owners daughter and she was very unreceptive. On the fence if I will return. If you go be prepared to buy two dishes. Would not recomind the michilada waitress made one ok and the other horrible.

Great little new place in town for quick and fresh Mexican cuisine. Loved the fish tacos. They make a sauce that is out oft his world. The only reason they get a 4 star rating is that on of my husbands fish tacos had a large fish bone(see attached pic). They were very apologetic and gave us some free dessert. We will be back soon!
