Great spot!!! Stopped in the night before our cruise asked the host of a nearby restaurant where a good dive bar was and she didn’t hesitate. She told us Treasure Trove was the place to go. Walked into a welcoming environment where the bartenders were totally legit and friendly. As someone who has worked in the industry for ten years this place was the perfect spot for me and my 5 friends. Great live music on Friday by a gent named Peter who can cover pretty much and genre and generation. If I’m ever back in Fort Lauderdale you bet you ass I will be there!!!

Awesome place! Jerk wings were out of this world! We also had the grilled conch which was delicious and dolphin bites which were okay. Based on all the other reviews I wish we tried the fish tacos. It’s a little on the pricey side but the food was excellent and the beer was cold. Can’t ask for much more from a beach bar!

Great bar. Almost go into fight the moment we walked in. Small space plastic shot glasses and great fried bar food … What more do you want?

Refreshing low key dive bar. Stumbled in here after a few failed attempts to find a decent drink in a down to earth atmosphere. Owner was bar tending and was friendly, helpful, and all around good company. Worth stopping in for a beer.

What great service! Our compliments to the staff. We had conch fritters and tastes the wonderful conch flavor. We enjoyed fish tacos also very nice. And based on the posts of other Unilocalers, enjoyed the Jerk wings. All in, great experience. I’d recommend any of the dishes we had and recommend this neighborhood feeling dive bar for anyone. And did I mention the service? They worked their tails off last night, job well done!

This place really is a dive but we loved it! The fish dip and tacos were fantastic! The wait staff were great and we had fun relaxing and eating. Not used to smoking but otherwise great place!

Food was ok but the service was beyond terrible. The bartender was to busy talking to people to bother to bring us out food, or our check… watched the food sit in the window for 15min…

So rude upon arrival, I decided to spend my money somewhere else and left inside of 2 minutes. I will say this, however, I haven’t been back to Florida since 1987 but it struck me then as full of intensely rude people, horrrrrrrrible customer service, insane drivers, and average to sub average overpriced food. Here’s to consistency! If you’d like to be treated as an inconvenience, go to The Treasure Trove.

Great local spot! The fish tacos came recommended and they didn’t disappoint. Cool beer on tap. A great local dive spot a block from the beach. Check it out!

Came in for a quick drink and bite. Really loved that they had Corona lite on tap. It’s actually pretty difficult to find places in the area with draft beers! The menu didn’t offer much so we stayed with just the beers. This place has a cool dive bar, beach bar feel to it.

Treasure Trove is a classic«dive» bar, but better. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, and found a perfect seat at the bar, allowing me to watch football on TV. The bartender was good, and she’s probably worked there a while. She knew most everyone there(except the tourist — me). I had the fish tacos, and they were fantastic. A little hot sauce, maybe a napkin because they will run down your hand if you’re not careful. And a beer. There was nothing left — I might have eaten the plastic tray. Remember the Treasure Trove!

I love a dive bar and Treasure Trove did not disappoint. Stumbled in here after some light bites nearby and having shared a bottle of wine. I was feeling quite great already so it didn’t bother me much that the beer offerings were slim. They had a few decent choices and the beer was kept cold by the coozies we were graciously provided. It could have been my state of inebriation but the tacos(a buck each for taco Tuesday) were delicious and we kept ordering more. Overall, friendly service, great prices and a great tunes playing.

My buddy worked here years ago. The owner is cool and personable. It’s small with no AC, but they treat you nice.

After spending Sunday on the sand my friend suggested we go to the Trove. IT is very warm in this bar because they don’t get a breeze. They do have fans running, but when it is 90 degrees out it doesn’t help too much. Bottled domestic beer are $ 4.50. We had the mahi tacos(3 tacos per order) for $ 12. They were excellent. You get a choice of grilled, fried, blackened, or jerk mahi. We tried the blackened and grilled. The blackened had a good heat kick to it. It is served with fresh pico de gallo and sour cream. IT is a local crowd. There is parking across the street in a metered lot. Staff was friendly.

We were staying at a hotel a few blocks away and only found this dive thanks to Unilocal.Seriously – thank you Unilocalers! I drank run punch & had the mahi tacos. They were both as delicious as I heard! My husband ordered«Andre’s Famous Jerk Wings» and Holy Moly – they were INCREDIBLE! I seriously considered going back for dinner just so we could have more wings. My only thought is that all the Unilocalers were raving about the fish tacos because they hadn’t tried the chicken wings. The wings blew the tacos out of the water, even though the tacos were darn good!

Found my new favorite spot on the beach! I was parking to go to Jimmy Johns to pick up a sub to head to the beach when I saw that this place served food. From the moment you walk in the owner Jeff welcomes you and suggested the fish tacos(dolphin not fried). Amaziiiiing… Served with a Volcano Sauce that is to die for, a little sweet but with spicy kick. The fish tacos were one of the best I have tried, definitely fresh! Chef Andre also came out to make sure everything was good and had a good chat. The atmosphere is casual and great for locals … Or a hidden gem for tourist. Touch tunes Juke box is on the wall to play your jams. Bartender Marybeth made sure drinks were never empty. Thank you for the great food, service and atmosphere. 10 stars!

Located across the Swimming Hall of Fame, this small rustic bar is on a bustling corner. It’s has a few tables and around 10 to 15 people can fit at the bar. At first glance, it doesn’t look very impressive but the food was amazing. The beer on draft is a good selection and the menu is a decent size with appetizers and entrees. I tried the tater tots which were perfectly crispy but what was impressive was the honey mustard it came with. Fresh and homemade, it was sweet and delicious. Then I had some cracked conch. Much better than the conch fritters. It was grilled and came with a spicy tangy sauce on the side. Then I had chicken quesadillas. Normally not a big fan of them but this place made it very well. The chicken was marinated and shredded finely, stuffed between a toasted tortilla and came with sides of salsa and sour cream. It was a good end to a nice food journey.

Type: DIVEBAR This small drinking establishment is off the beaten path nestled on a side street corner between the Swimming Hall of Fame and A1A/the beach. This open air bar dons a relaxed Caribbean island motif complete with a salvaged canon reminiscent of swashbuckling days. You may even hear a tail or two about the famous Galleon ship wreckage, canons, diving for treasures and their deadly curses if you are lucky from the owner Jeff. If pirates and tails aren’t your flavor, look above as this bar is also a favorite watering hole of the Blue Angel fly boys. Clientele are mostly local from fishermen to business folk, so you know the place is special. The kitchen is tiny, as is the menu — don’t let that scare you — if you have a hunger for a taste of the tropics. Conch fritters, and fish tacos(taco Tuesday), are always a hit, but if you want my opinion, the cracked conch is the bomb, It’s grilled, not fried with a spicy dipping sauce. The only place I have ever seen do this, and very successfully I might add. Once the sun goes down the party continues. The Treasure Trove, or «The Trove» as the locals call it, turns into a nighttime party joint with live music. This is also the home of the local headliner Catfish Hunter who has just released his second troprock CD with lyrics written about people and places around Fort Lauderdale. The first is my favorite. Overall, this is a must stop whether for a cold beer, a bite for lunch, or just to chill, hang out and relax. #treasuretrove #thetrove #divebar #fortlauderdale #catfishhunter #reviews
