Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I happened to run across this place on my way back to my hotel. I got a sandwich and a smoothie, both was great. I will be back.

So normally I would give them 5 stars but after this last visit they deserve these 2 stars!
The new girl making the smoothies seemed to be oblivious to the customers waiting to order. Luckily I had ordered my smoothie already. What ached my buns was the entire time she was moving in slow motion. Like really young lady! I’m disappointed because my 15 min break turned into 25mins.

My husband and I discovered this little gem while banking right next door. I’d been under the weather for about a week and wasn’t eating very well due to lack of appetite so when I noticed a smoothie place I figured this would be perfect to get some nutrition in me in the form of a smoothie. From the moment I walked in I was drawn to the cuteness of the place. The have a pretty big menu for a smoothie shop and from what I saw when I looked around everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. Since I wasn’t in the mood for food I ordered the Sunrise Sunset smoothie and my husband ordered the Sunny Day smoothie. Both were amazing! I walked out of there excited to come back and try their food. The following week I decided to check it out for lunch and I ordered the chicken pesto flat bread and a Sunrise Sunset smoothie! The flat bread was amazing and the smoothie was even better then the 1^st visit! There are so many other options I cannot wait to try there! I took away one star because the service is on the slow side but that wont stop me from going back!!!

Great smoothies, awesome wraps/​salads. Service at times can be slow. Overall, a great place to grab a smoothie on a daily basis!

Healthy, cool vibe. I’ve been drinking lots of smoothies lately and this has been an interestingly delicious ride. I’ve enjoyed smoothies with mangos and protein. The sugar content in a lot of smoothies are high.

Great food! Even Better smoothies. Not always consistent though. It depends on who is working that day. Newer employees tend to put too much or too little of something into the smoothies. In the end, I still eat here at least once or twice a week! If you don’t like your smoothie they will make you another!

This is my go to place 3 times a week. I recently bought a home in this part of fort Lauderdale and had no idea there was a fabulous plaza filled with restaurants around the corner. I recall this place having a location in Boca in my past visits but I believe it’s no longer there. The service here is excellent, you’re greeted as you enter with all smiles. They are so quick and yet the smoothies are superbly great! My favorite is the Thai wrap. Perfect lunch place.

I usually don’t write bad reviews, but there usually some form of communication between a customer and employee. I said «Hi» and «THANK YOU» and she didn’t respond, not one word. That’s cool but it was more of here demeanor and expression that made it very unwelcoming. I don’t know. maybe, a angry customer before me came in and got her upset. On the bright side the Smoothie are good. Who cares about customer service anyways. Smoothie five stars. food 3 ½ stars. Customer service is usually good except for today encounter with miss attitude

Just love this place, every single smoothie that I have tried so far it’s freakin awesome, on the other side ask if what your going to eat is spicy cause I have had some spicy food that in don’t really like, other than this great place and excellent costumer service

Lived in southeast Michigan and loved Tropical smoothie. So glad I found one here in South Florida.

This place is really tucked away. It’s right next to the gym that I go to several times a week and I never noticed it until yesterday. They have reasonably priced smoothies, considering how ridiculously expensive smoothies can be these days.
The staff member that helped me was very friendly and helpful. The smoothie was very tasty. It was banana strawberry with protein. The wrap sandwich that I got was pretty good.
This spot is really only good for a quick meal or protein shake after working out in my opinion, but I Would definitely come back some time.

Not much to say other than the smoothies are really, really good here. Surprising for a chain. I found them to be packed with flavor and fairly light, despite all the fruit, protein and ice. Not sure if it’s some of the magic juice that I see them pumping in there, or if it’s those expensive machines, but they were great. Also, I thought $ 4.99 is a decent price considering what other places are charging these days.
I’ve scoped out some other locations and I’ll be back.

This is one of those cases where the food was actually decent, but my overall experience just put a bad taste in my mouth. We arrived on a Thursday, about quarter to noon, and there was one woman in front of us in line. Somehow her order (which seemed to be only for herself) took 5+ minutes to complete. She got a wrap and a drink… and I’m not talking about «complete» as in received her food, I’m talking about how long it took for the employee to ring things up.
We finally stepped up to the register and put in our orders. I went with the veggie hummus wrap, and my boyfriend got the artisan tacos. He asked for one of each (they had a fish, steak, and chicken) and this seemed to confuse the cashier immensely as she kept looking back at the menu board to see what «each» was. We also ordered two waters. Our cashier process probably took about 5 minutes as well. It took at least ten minutes for my name to be called and the food was ready. We have now spent 15 minutes in this establishment and not been served a thing. This is an order at the counter lunch place with many businesses around. People can not afford to spend fifteen minutes just sitting somewhere when the atmosphere gives a fast food impression. By the way within the ten minutes we waited they informed us they were out of fish for the fish taco, so my boyfriend just replaced it with another steak one, but if you’re out of a menu ingredient before noon at a place that serves lunch, something is wrong there.
Anyway, we had our food, but not our water. These probably should have been given to us when we initially ordered and paid, but I went back up to the register and asked for our two waters. The cashier went into the registers history and informed me that she had only put in one water and it would be another $ 2.11 for the second. Now I had no problem paying for the waters when I ordered, but it is now ten minutes later, and this was her mistake… making me go back to my seat and get out my wallet again to correct it set me over the edge, so I told her one water would be sufficient, and we shared. However, basic food worker knowledge should suggest number of meals ordered=number of drinks ordered. check your screen BEFORE you hit total, not after the customer has received their meal. And finally in terms of my complaints, my wrap was said to be served with chips on the menu board, but did not come with them. The chips were located in an awkward position, somewhat behind the counter, somewhat not, so it was unclear if this was a Subway situation where you grab your own chips or not. I wasn’t going to bother to talk to an employee again so I just took them. So I have now had to get up twice after my meal was served to correct their mistakes.
In terms of the food the veggie hummus wrap was pretty good, The tortilla had a nice texture and it had a yummy, melty cheese. They were a little heavy on the red onion, but I could easily pick some off. My boyfriend liked the tacos, but he said it was mostly the sauces on top that were good.
Honestly, I probably won’t be back. I know a few other smoothie/​sandwich/​wrap places around that haven’t raised my blood pressure, and just next door you can get a greek wrap made in front of you and paid for within 3 minutes. I think Tropical Smoothie will be in trouble if everyone has the experience I did, but who knows, they are still pretty new.

Ohhhhh very good smoothie I tried the carebean delicious a lot of flavor and vitamin C and my husband tried avocado colada smoothie delicious flavor mixed with avocado and pineapple. Definitely should try both, we love the wraps and the tacos also if you come in much tiem they have the smoothies for 2.99. I will give A to this place good customer service I brought my coupons and she took two for my husband and I… We definitely came back to this place great good and service so happy :)

This location at Andrews just open recently, however as long they keep this amazing service and fresh food that was delivered today to my wife and I, they will for sure to impress a lot people. Love the smoothies. Lots of healthy choices as well.

Refreshingly yummy and healthy place that I’m glad I stumbled upon… I highly recommend this restaurant. Now I just have to find a location closer to home.
A wrap and smoothie combo were the perfect lunch for me. The best part is the fact that I didn’t have to compromise on flavor for health. I felt great afterwards, with no regrets.
The selections are great, from sandwiches, wraps, salad, flat bread, tacos (yes, tacos) and smoothies. I had a jerk chicken wrap and a smoothie with kale that I can’t recall the name of, both delicious. I’m looking forward to going back to try the fish tacos.
