Amazing does not even begin to describe this place! The food is to die for and I crave this place all the time! We even had them cater an event and everyone wanted more. The peach cobbler is out of this world and I hide it in the frig so only I can have it. The BBQ has the most delicious flavor along with the sauce. Don’t ask what kind of style BBQ this is because the owner is from Florida and man does he know what he’s doing. My go to meal is the pork and beans. His savory baked beans with pineapple topped with his tasty BBQ is my favorite. I’ve also had the ribs that fall off the bones and leave you licking your fingers for more and his whole smoked chicken! YES… a whole chicken which I also hid in the frig so no one else could have it. This is the place you want to try and you will be going back for more!

Authentic BBQ, smoker fired up in parking lot. Family run business, not a chain. Surprisingly good considering not a traditional Carolina style BBQ. Unusual BBQ sauce home made tasty. Worth the visit. Only 5 minutes from interstate

I had the large chopped pork sammich, potato salad, and mac and cheese. The potato salad was probably the best I have ever had, but the other things were just mediocre. The sauce was good,(mustard based) but rather than sparingly using on the sammich just put a cup of it in the box. I most likely wont return due to the high cost compared to. what else you can get in the surrounding areas bbq joints. My three items came out to $ 12.72. Plus the place sprayed starting fluid right on the wood underneath all the meats. So give it a try for yourself, but you wont see me there again.

I enjoy the Texas style BBQ. I have eaten here a few times and each time was a good experience. I’ve had the ribs and the BBQ chicken. The Mac and cheese was good as well. I don’t care for vinegar based BBQ and he doesn’t use it at all. Great staff!

Great southern BBQ, I have had the pulled pork barbecue sandwiches which are tender and juicy. The barbecue is a little on the watery side but delicious. I always pair it with tater salad. Next time your on Ft Lee give them a try.

Meh. I’ve experienced better. Now, I am a Las Vegan; so, what the fuck do I know about ‘cue?(I know a lot about sin. Oh my god!) I have only been to Austin, Kansas City, Memphis, Nashville, Saint Louis, and the island of Puerto Rico(birthplace of the very technique by the Taíno tribe); and, consumed barbecue at all of the aforementioned locales. It is not difficult to possess the longest queue on Fort Lee because everything on Fort Lee fucking sucks; so, those using the long line litmus test to choose where to eat will be sorely disappointed.(Sorry.) Where I was disappointed was with the items I purchased — and consumed — and, the sheer amount of flies blanketing all of the non-‘cue food. The barbecue was just A-OK; but, the insects drop it down to an unfortunate deserving two-stars. YMMV.

Very good BBQ, I had the pulled pork, backed beans, and potato salad. The pork was tender and juicy, and the sides were homemade. The BB were a blend of pinto with white beans which was very good, and the potato salad was good too. The sodas were generic and the sides were expensive for the amount. The service was outstanding, I will return.

I’m from the Southern Midwest. BBQ is what we do! This is my favorite BBQ I’ve ever had. The sauce is really good, and the group of guys working there are always really friendly to their customers. It’s so good you can order a whole rack or 12(not a typo) and eat it for a week!

Decent BBQ and reasonably priced. I got the convo platter so I could see what was best. As reflected in other comments the pulled pork was really good and cooked perfectly. The chicken was also really good but the skin was heavily charred but the meat was still really tender and delicious in the middle. The sausage I had wasn’t really cooked on one side so it was still very pink but cooked well in the center. The sauce they use is phenomenal and they use pineapple chunks in their baked beans which was new to me. However, the best part was the staff was super friendly and nice giving suggestions and explaining what they had to offer. I’m definitely going to try their brisket sometime. Really good BBQ place. I’ll go back!

Food Trucks like this reminds me of home back in NYC where Food Trucks roam the streets of all boroughs which I heavily miss. That being said, the food here is really REALLY good. I can confidently say that they have the BESTBBQ Pulled Pork and Sausage Sandwich I’ve ever had. Their sauce is mustard based and is HEAVENLY! For $ 5, it’s not that expensive and soo worth it considering Fort Lee has VERY limited options for food(Fast Food or Chinese gets old after a while)/ Definitely good stuff! Accepts both Cash and Credit Card!

As Andrew Zimmern would say you head to the place with the longest line. And this is how I discovered some of the best pulled pork I’ve ever had. I was at Fort Lee for a course and for lunch I explored the base for something quick but good. As with normal Army installations you had the regular fast food joints to include subway, Wendys, Chinese, Popeyes and some other usual suspects. While going to the base exchange I noticed a small trailer with a smoker grill on the backside of it and a couple of guys milling around there weren’t any customers at the time so I didn’t think much about it. I spent about 15 minutes inside the exchange and when I came out there had to be a line about 20 deep. Boom I knew I found something that had to be checked out. The menu range from smoke sausage, hot links, racks of ribs, chicken wings, whole chicken, half chicken, quarter chicken, barbecue burgers and cheeseburgers, and the best on the list was the pulled pork. they’re also sides to include mac and cheese, potato salad, green beans, coleslaw. The pulled pork was served Virginia style basically chopped up with a mustard based sauce which I never had before and I definitely enjoyed it. After the second day of being there and visiting the trailer the guys recognize me and had my order already being ready by the time I came up to the window. Just a tip but the food runs out show is over so get there by 11 o’clock.

Pretty decent food. I had chicken which was pretty good. I liked the sauce. Ribs were good but I prefer baby back ribs. Pulled pork sandwich was awesome! I had beans, cole slaw n macaroni n cheese as well. I really enjoyed the macaroni.

The BBQ here is solid. William B. who wrote the 1st review of this place had a really bad experience because they forgot his order and he didn’t even try their food. Hey, this happens. When it happens to me, I just remind the people of my order and they jump right on it. So give this place a try. I really dug their BBQ sauce, it’s a mustard based sauce. I felt that their prices were a little expensive for what you get but the BBQ is really solid. My biggest complaint would probably be the fact that I ordered the ribs and my BBQ sauce was applied to the side where there’s no meat and only bone! But it still wasn’t bad.

Another Bite seems to have lost their license to operate on Ft. Lee and have been replaced with Le Pough’s Bar-B-Que, which operates with a similar set up. Is the food any good? I can’t say, and never will be able to because I’ll be damned if I ever go here again. Here’s how it happened(times are approximate): 1310 — I arrive. Ahead of me are two SSGs and a 1LT who have already ordered and two civilian females placing an order. 1315 — One of the operators takes my order, which is one barbecue sandwich, one small cole slaw, and one small baked beans. 1325 — The SSGs and 1LT have apparently made a large order because some of it is still being prepared. Two 2LTs arrive behind me followed by two SFCs. 1330 — The operator takes the orders of the 2LTs and the SFCs. 1335 — Finally complete with the first three orders. 1340 — Calls out and provides the two SFCs with their orders. 1345 — Calls out and provides the two civilians with their orders. 1350 — Another SFC shows up just as they call the names of the two 2LTs and starts handing their orders. The SFC asks if I have ordered. I tell him, «Yes,» and in frustration walk away. As I do, I hear them taking his order. I go to a nearby stand and get a hotdog, because I’m freaking hungry. 1355 — As I walk back to my Jeep, I see them handing him his order, and never once did they call my name. I’m a patient man and understand that sometimes, things get turned around. However, at a food cart you should try your best to serve in the order people arrive. To take five orders after mine, and serve them all before me is something I won’t accept. If I want good ‘cue from a food stand, I’ll just go to Saucy’s. UPDATE: Since the owner of this establishment saw fit to question my veracity, I thought I would go ahead and note that my account is accurate to my experience. As anyone who has taken a moment to look through my reviews would notice, I am not shilling for other businesses. My reviews are according to my experiences. They may not always be nice, but they are accurate to my experiences.
