Chicken taste great when you finally get it, but how does a chicken place constantly run out of chicken? I have gone to the drive thru so many times and almost always they have me pulled over and park cause they ran out of chicken. I finally gave up on this location and now go to the Hull Street location, they have great service and never had any problems. I gave them one star for taste of the chicken.

Went here three times. First time they failed to return my card. The second visit was as it should have been, I chose to go inside this time though. The third and final time, I decided to try the drive-thru one more time. I asked for a number 3 with green beans, a tea, and a spicy chicken wrap. The female taking my order, DeJa L is the name on my receipt, put me on a momentary hold while taking my order and came back giggling and repeated my order. When I got to the window to pay I thought all was normal until I got my receipt. The order I received was not a number 3 but a 3 piece dinner and there was no chicken wrap at all and when I pointed it out they tried to tell me they would put it in again and asked for my card again. Go somewhere else for your chicken soldiers.

Absolutely terrible. I’ve attempted to contact management and the store company several times regarding this location. They never get my order right. I’ve asked for just dark meat only to get two pieces of white meat and a leg. Last time I went in I specifically asked for a leg, wing and thigh and got a leg, wing and breast. The breast is literally my least favorite piece which is why I always ask for a thigh. This has happened twice now. And I always have to order another side because this location, for some reason, does not do the 3 pc combo with two sides. Twice now I’ve gotten home to find only one side, so the extra side I paid for is nonexistent. Today, on a Sunday, I went there at 5:40PM. They were closed; despite the hours stating they are open until 1930 which is 7:30PM. So they were closed basically two hours before they were supposed to be. I knocked on the door and an employee simply just shooed me away, wouldn’t even come and say why they were closed so early. I tried calling management and got a voicemail that is just a lot of noise and then beeps; so hopefully it’s the right number as there’s nothing saying Popeyes. I’ve put in two complaints to Popeyes via their website but heard nothing back. I’ve also complained on Twitter. This is the only popeyes located in the Tri-Cities area that’s not 30 minutes away up in Richmond and unfortunately most people can’t even get to this location because it’s on a military base and you have to have a special ID card to get on or attempt to get a visitor’s pass(which takes about 30 minutes or so).

I have three stars because the food is good and it’s the only Popeyes around. Unfortunately unless you have the time to sit and wait, they are extremely slow. What I will say about that though is that the food is always hot when you finally get it. I’m not sure if it’s slow inside as well because I always go through the drive through. The longest I’ve had to wait is 20 minutes. It’s enough to not make you want the food anymore but, seeing as how you are pretty much locked into the lane you might as well. The service for the most part is acceptable. I mean the employees are not super friendly but they aren’t rude either. All in all of you don’t have anywhere to be then go for it.

Terrible customer Service drove 30 minutes and on post to this location sign on door says it closes at 7:30 pulled up at 5:11 to a unlocked door with an employee telling me they closed at 5. There were soilders still eating and plenty of food that I could clearly see where. I asked why couldn’t I purchase the food already cooked I was told they stopped taking transactions at 5 pm.

There is always a wait. I mean always, never ask for pies, it will take 15 – 20 minutes. Been here a couple of times and it always takes about 20 mins to get an order, best time to eat here is around 11am. So don’t come here unless you expect to wait.

Drive thur is terrible, it was three cars ahead of me when I pulled up to the drive thur and after ten minutes of waiting to even move an inch I decided to reverse it out of the drive thur but was stopped when a car pulled behind me.ugh. After another ten minutes I pulled up to order. Waited another 5 minutes to get my food. I was so irritated when I finally got my food that I didn’t check to make sure that the order was right. When I got to my room I realize that the order was not my order I had the ticket for what I order but had someone else’s meal. All that time wasted and still couldn’t get my order correct. Still ate it because I was hungry but will never go here again or at least thru the drive thur. Just terrible. Good thing I was already off or I would’ve been written up for being late. Seriously what’s the problem here.

Like everything else on Fort Lee, Popeye’s is grossly inflated in price, and offers very shitty service during the lunchtime rush(and during dinner)(and at every other hour of the day.) They charge higher than airport prices here, then make you ask for every single piece of condiment individually, nickel-and-diming when there is no time for all this bullshit on a training installation. Yeah, I ordered fifteen fucking chicken strips but I don’t need sauce. I will just dip it in my fucking sweet tea. Wait, your sweet tea canister is empty anyway. What the fuck is this! And I am not the only one noticing this stuff: I once witnessed an AAFES official ream them over their soda machines looking like shit. Instead of saying roger and assuring her they would get it taken care of, all I heard was a lot of excuses. It is like every contract AAFES has with these chains has been a mistake. Enterprise, BK Lounge, this garbage, et al. Fuck it; just get rid of them all. Press reset and start over.

Standard regular Popeyes, I love the promotion offered by paying with the star card… Great deal not bad at all, fast and hot.

Worst place to eat, all the workers act like they are doing you a favor by taking your order. Rude to customers and never get your order right, I live on post and will never go there to eat again. The manager needs to be retrained as well.

I love popeyes, but this one can get super busy. If you go at the wrong time, you will be waiting. They do have lots of different televisions to watch and ample seating inside. The workers can move a bit slow also. but the the flavor is still good olé popeyes.

This place is pricey for an AAFES affiliated restaurant. Naked grill tenders aren’t that bad. BUT, get the fried stuff if you want a tasty meal. Use your military star card for a 5%+ discount.
