I spent over three times to be there just for getting a physical exam result — everytime they said you can walk in,but evertime the doctor was not there, most terrible thing i have never met.

I have been impressed by the staff and doctors here. The hospital is a little bit of a maze, but this might be the Army’s hidden hospital secret. No one says go to JLMB for the hospital, but maybe that should. I would recommend this hospital to my friends.

I gave birth at Madigan in March 2015 and couldn’t have been any happier with my stay. The Midwives were very supportive of my unmedicated delivery and treated me as a woman who knows her own body. They took great care of me afterwards as well. The only complaint I have is that it seemed like there was someone coming into our room all the time to talk to us. Pediatricians, lactation consultants, etc. All good, but I felt like we didn’t get much sleep. Now, 2 months later I am at Madigan again, this time for gallbladder removal, and an ERCP. I’m in the inpatient care unit 7 north. I came in to the emergency room and was seen within 30 minutes. The ER was a bit chaotic but since I have been in 7 north I have been listened to, respected and taken care of. The hospital gave me a breast pump and put me in my own room with an extra bed so my husband and baby could stay. They have been accommodating of my medication needs as a nursing mother. They have explained every procedure in a way I could understand. The nurses are friendly and didn’t get irritated with me even after I had used my call button for the 7th time in one night. Before this trip I had considered switching to civilian care but I have been treated so well, that’s not even a thought in my mind now. Thank you to my group of midwives, doctors and nurses and everyone else I have seen at Madigan.

The worst place ever! Take a ticket, wait half hour, go up to counter, go back wait for your name, take another ticket, wait, go to counter, wait! Amd then watch the employees shuffle as slowly as possible! Messed up new system! So much fun for the old peeps who can barely walk or breathe!

This place gives me chills. It’s creepy and the staff is horrible not all just most my husband sprained his ankle and they gave him one crutch. Another doctor was shocked seeing him try to struggle out the door with a sprained ankle and one crutch. Even tho he did say that wasn’t right he didn’t do anything about it. Instead another lady came by shocked and had to go get the pair for the crutch. Idk it’s just everytime we go there we leave never wanting to go back.

Understaffed, horrible service. Wait times are longer than waiting at the Dept. of Licensing. Avoid if at all possible. Never a convenient time to go. Always be prepared to wait at least 1−2hrs… I feel bad for the mothers of antsy toddlers that have to wait here…

This is an extremely busy pharmacy. No matter when you go, you can expect to wait for a long time. The typical wait time is between 45 minutes and an hour, but sometimes it’s longer. The pharmacy is understaffed for such a large military installation. The main pharmacy has around 10 windows, but they are typically not all open at one time. The ticket system prioritizes active duty in uniform, and there are other categories for civilians, dependents, retired, etc. which results in a longer wait. There is also a refill pharmacy for picking up refills and a drive-through refill pharmacy. Refills are held for seven days after processing. The drive-through refill pharmacy has just had its hours reduced, and is now only open from 9am-4pm. This has dramatically impacted the length of time it takes to pick up a refill, and it seems there is never a convenient time to go without having to wait in a line of cars. The main pharmacy has tried a new system of using a drop box to drop off written prescriptions which can be picked up at the inside refill pharmacy, but this excludes certain narcotics. I was told that the system may only be temporary, so it’s possible it will be discontinued if it’s not efficient. It’s too bad because I’ve used this type of system at the Army hospital at Fort Stewart, and it’s a real time saver. And of course, not all medications are carried so be sure to check before you spend your entire morning waiting at the pharmacy.

You can get better service elsewhere but if you are military then you most likely have to go here or another pharmacy in base. During the day it can be a hassle/wait but be patient. They have to serve a lot of people not just active duty so yeah.
