The service at the Ft. Myers store is awful. Spent an hour in the store and in spite of a request for assistance, a sales clerk never came to help me. Previously had worked with a design assistant and she never called as promised and never return my calls. Don’t waste your time with this place.

I’ve been in the Naples store of this chain a few times, and yet to see a «bargoon» in this place. You really have to be careful here. Large selection of fabrics, with«retail» fabric prices noted on all tags… then the usual«bargoon» prices, then the price with 40% off plus your extra 10% off«coupon» …and the fabrics are still overpriced. Sure a designer might like the«bargoons» here… if you’re spending client’s money it doesn’t matter if the store is ripping you off. I saw an upholstery fabric here in a very distinctive animal weave and color… with all the various and sundry«discounts» from its $ 100+ «retail price» it was finally $ 44/yard at «bargoons». Funny… but I’d been considering just this fabric for a project last year, and more than one online fabric discounter still has the same fabric at $ 28.00/yard. I also found some of the fabrics to be tagged with the eye-catching high end manufacturers parent company name, yet the fabric was one of their lower-end product lines, as noted on the selvage marking showing the brand. Finally, check out the«custom pillows» and pricey«designer» remnants in the dumpy back of the store. The pillows and leftover fabrics look like something you’d find at a yard sale or the back of a consignment shop. These folks are«laughing all the way to the bank», as dear old mom used to say.

Absolutely poor service at Sarasota downtown store. The sewer told he would have my goods ready in 45 minutes. When I got the an hour later, he hadn’t started! Another 20 minutes wait and he tells me the sewing machine is broken. No apology, turns to the cashier and tells him to refund me. Avoid this place at all cost. Some staff are rude and only there for a paycheck.

Just in the Design Center today. Dealt with designer with long dark hair who was very knowledgable. Design tips were great. Got my cushions ordered with fabulous fabric match. Very Happy.

I have to agree with the other reviewer who wrote about the poor customer service here. I’ve shopped(and spent hundreds of dollars!) here and always find the employees not just unhelpful but unfriendly too. The girl with the long hair doesn’t have good people skills and the gentleman who I assume either owns or manages the shop has always been very aloof. I have found the designers – who are not employees of the store – to be more helpful than the staff. I think the next time I have a decorating project, I will take my business to another Boca Bargoons location. Regardless of how nice the fabrics may be, I like to feel my business and presence is appreciated!

Not sure about the other locations, but the Fort Myers store is awful in terms of customer service. Their front desk person — younger woman, long dark hair, is so rude, and pretty clueless. I probably shouldn’t pick on just her because the«designers» there are not much better. They seem to have the attitude that they are working in a high end boutique on Madison Avenue or something.(They don’t look like it though. Just sayin.) There is a man(maybe owner or manager) who is very helpful… try and seek out him if you need help with anything.

This is not a place I frequent. I stopped in here with my wife for a «look see» because they were having a «big» sale(and I do love these«first to reviews»). Actually we weren’t disappointed. This corporate chain is huge and has a large selection of, well, fabrics. We had free wine, free cookies & free cheese. What’s not to like? Then we left… Oh, BTW, we would have bought something if we had found anything we wanted. But we didn’t.
