As a frequent traveler and even a frequent Spirit passenger — all I can say is that I am still in shock as I type this from the airport — it’s going on 5 hours now. We arrived early for our 3:50 departure — about 12:30. As we handed our bags over the lady says«Chicago? That was cancelled.» And pushed our bags back at us. Ok so what are our options? «We can rebook you on a flight 2 days from now or we can process a refund». WHAT? No suggestions, no help whatsoever. I get it — Spirit = no extras — but at the cost of basic customer service? I’m very sad if this is where standards are headed.

Horrible Airline. First time and last time. Never got on the plane. They had a problem printing my boarding pass. After an hour and 45 min they said sorry we cannot let you fly on this flight. No compensation whatsoever. I am an Alaska Gold member and I fly often. Never had this happen before. Not only this… you pay heavily for your luggage even if it’s on the plane with you in the cabin. Caution they charge you for everything! The only people that work for the airline can be reached by the phone. Everyone at the airport are vendors and do not care one bit. Buyer Beware you get what you pay for! Sheryl
