Food has been tasty the two times I’ve been here now. I ordered the Salmon the first time and it was phenomenal. Ordered the Sirloin tonight and it was just way smaller of a portion and left hungry. We weren’t in a hurry by any means, but service was a bit slow. Very nice bartender gave us a free drink just for chatting with him which I though was very nice!

Horrible food! We were regulars at This restaurant for many years. It has gone down hill progressively for the past 6 years. We took friends from out of town there Monday evening. We sat in a booth in the bar area. Our server had an attitude to start. My husband asked for a lite draft beer. She said they do not carry those any longer. She suggested a happy hour beer, my husband gave it a try. 5.50 for a draft on happpy hour! Wine on happy hour is now 6.50 a glass! We all ordered an appetizer, it came out cold. The place was empty, but we struggled to find our server. We ordered the burgers, they came with 6 french fries. 6REALLY! Ridicululous. I ordered a house salad, it came drowning in dressing hiding brown lettuce. We will never go again. Hopefully others do not either!

Had a nice meal & evening there tonight sat 12⁄3. They were busy – always a good recommendation. I like that the dinner menu has everything from a great burger to seafood & steaks. Everyone in our party was very satisfied all the way thru to the orange cake. A full bar & very attractive décor – definitely recommend!

Our reservation was for 6:45! We arrived at 6:10 and admitted we were extremely early. The hostess stated it was ok that we would only be waiting 15 minutes. We told her we’d wait in the bar. A half an hour went by and we were still waiting in the bar. My daughter went to the front and asked if we would be seated soon explaining our situation. She was told it would be just a while longer. We watched from the bar as others were seated before us. We went to the front asking why we weren’t being seated. The hostess claimed she«looked for us». Never the less, we left. Poor customer service. Not a way to treat locals or any customer for that fact. And after we got to our next restaurant, I got notification that Stonewood cancelled my Open Table Reservation. Way to go!

Food was just OK but the atmosphere is beautiful and the service was excellent. My mother had crabcakes… they were just OK needed more texture. I had the Ahi Tuna appetizer was Mushy and tasteless… was surprised. Seared tuna is not that difficult… Just needs to be fresh which it was not. The steak was good as was the service. Husbands ‘chain-end’ prime rib cut was not to his standard he said… Don’t no. I will give it one more try

Stonewood continues to disappoint by not delivering the quality they advertise in their menu and pricing. Over the years we have frequented the reataurant and by in large it has been pretty good but the problem over the last few visits remains quality control from the kitchen. When you order a $ 28 piece of fish, it needs to be cooked perfect yet when I received my Herb Crusted Grouper it was burnt. Severely over done yet they delivered it to the table. My wife’s $ 30 Filet was under seasoned and just okay, and sons blackened chicken pasta was over seasoned, over cooked, and pasty. The salads were good, service was ample, not great, just ample, and host staff indifferent. Honestly they are just not committed to providing excellence. From the cooks, to the expeditor, to the servers delivering, and it spells one thing. Their leadership is not focused on taking pride in their work and lacks the drive to do so. We are not the casual or occasional diner, we eat out often and sadly many local establishments fall short in this arena. While $ 119 is not an extreme amount of money for three people, it does mandate excellence in food prep and service. It really is not that complicated, it all starts at the window.

We haven’t been in Stonewood for about 4 years despite living about ½ mile away… we were nicely surprised! The menu was updated(since we last were there) we both had a soup starter; clam chowder & French onion … Both were yummy! Dinner was lemon white wine chicken for me and blackened chicken bow tie pasta w/spinach & asparagus for him… again both were very tasty and well portioned(we brought ½ of each home)…of course there’s always that fresh hot bread basket with rolls and bagel sticks! To finish off we splurged and split the chocolate bread pudding… ya, pretty much rolled out of the restaurant and immediately went home for a pair of comfy elastic wasted sweatpants! We will be back; sooner than our last visit!

I have no idea what the food is going to taste like. But, any place that has their chef come out and make food preparation for a gluten allergy gets high marks from me! Way to go Rodrigo !

The food is pretty good and portions are filling, but this was some of the worst service we have ever experienced. Really hard to keep a little one waiting for so long. Sitting with empty drinks and dirty dishes for 25 minutes waiting on someone to care enough to check on us. What a disappointing experience.

Food was great let me take that back, haven’t gotten it yet. Service is horrible I would come here often due to the wonderful food and in the sit down area not the bar. We are here for social that’s why we sat in the bar, but the waiter had tables all over the place. Had to even ask the manager to get our drinks and water. We are now here 2 hours and it’s a shame that the service in season has come to this.

Alright so this place has good steaks and the chips with blue cheese are awesome. I think a 14 ounce ribeye runs around $ 30 so not so bad. They lost stars only because I tried the chef special of steak, shrimp, rice which was sub par. The service was good, very nice older lady. 2 meals and 1 appetizer, a couple drinks for roughly $ 85 with tip.

Great service, great atmosphere and great food this evening. I visited a «sister» Stonewood in Tampa near USF about 18 months ago and wasn’t sure how the Fort Myers location would compare. They were both 5 stars. These folks have a great formula — Fresh ingredients, well prepared and exceptional service. Just delightful! Try it.

Nice ambience and good variety of food options. Lamb chops were small and lamb shank was fatty. Medium rare was medium. Wine prices were on the high side. Shrimp dinner was good.

Seriously the best food in fort Meyers! It’s consistently amazing! The bread is a true treat with pretzel sticks and rolls. The fried calamari is my sons favorite food. Please only go here! Our waitress was Lindsey and she could not have been nicer!

This place has great service and a great atmosphere. The wine selection is great. They have a birthday club– free meal on birthday with coupons throughout the year. The steaks are great and love the triple chocolate cake and orange cream cake! Much better than the Outback. The only issue is the price– fairly high but you get what you pay for. I only go with a coupon or on my birthday– well worth it!

Surprisingly good. Blue Cheese Chips were winners, as were the New York and Prime Rib. Deserts were disappointing though.

The food and staff are always superb. My boyfriend and I frequent this location monthly and their service has always been consistently great. We’ve never had a bad experience here and we always look forward to our date nights here. We would recommend the blueberry martini, sassy apple and filet. But you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

We had the worst Thanksgiving diner I have ever experienced. The turkey was processed turkey roll, salty & nothing more than a deli lunch meat. The stuffing was a stove top and some hard green beans… This was rushed out, over priced and disgusting way to spend a holiday. A great big disappointment !

Went here for a get-together with family I had not seen in awhile. I wish we chose another place honestly. One of the worst steakhouses I have been… not because anything was necessarily wrong, but for the price and what I expected, it just did not meet it. Below is a list of pro/cons. Pros: –Solid happy hour selection — Specifically wine. –Servers are attentive and nice. Cons: –Value: My filet was def smaller than indicated and although was«aged and corn fed» tasted like it just been thawed and thrown on the grill. Not to mention the seasoning tasted like the stuff you get at costco… Sorry if I am going to go to a steakhouse and pay good money, I expect it to be better than what I can do at home –Food: My fiancé got the cod fish. She describes it as over-cooked, dry and the broccoli was mushy. It was a good thing we were around good company or we would’ve probably complained. Bottom-Line: Skip this and go somewhere else.

I am very puzzled when seeing only 3 stars for this place considering it was one of the best restaurant meals that I’ve had-ever. Made the choice from an Internet search while on vacation. I will say the front desk staff was a little less than welcoming, leaving me very skeptical but once our server, Sharon, greeted and wowed us with her efficiency and welcoming attitude, our experience took a positive turn. The porterhouse pork chop is the absolute BEST chop I have ever eaten in my life. The brine gave this chop so much taste, the buttermilk whipped potatoes sheer perfection and the creamed spinach was fresh and rich tasting. Do not pass on the orange cake because it is positively delicious and the perfect ending to one of the best restaurant experiences of my life…
