The gumbo was abysmal. I want to give it another chance, but weeks later I can’t forget the terrible color and flavor. It was a dark brown, lumpy mess. Go somewhere else

Great spot for lunch in the downtown area. Always hot and fresh meals and live music is usually really good in the evening. Parking can sometimes be a challenge depending on the time and day

Appearance of this restaurant was very awesome, thanks for choosing such great music selection to play in the background. Overall PERFECT place to eat IFYOULIKECAJUNFOOD! The staff was friendly, had a great selection of beer. So many different plates to pick from! Very easy walk from our hotel to this restaurant. Thanks for your Great Business…

I’ve only been here once and don’t think I’ll go back personally. I love New Orleans style food having been to New Orleans a few times to sample it, this place caught my eye. The staff was friendly and attentive and the place was clean, but it was pretty hot inside and very dimly lit for me. My problem with this place is not the facilities or anything like that, but the food and prices. The food was pretty mediocre and definitely can’t be compared to real New Orleans flavors. They definitely give you a lot on your plate, but the flavor just doesn’t match up. The crawfish étouffée was pretty bland with rubbery flavorless crawfish along with everything else on the plate. It all ended up just kind of blending together. Although they do give you a decent portion, the prices are killer, as in they will murder your wallet. Pretty pricey for food of that quality. I guess if you’ve never been to New Orleans or had real Cajun style food it’d seem good, but for me, it’s not the same at all and it would be much cheaper even in the touristy French Quarter.

This is not Landry’s from Louisiana. That being said it seemed like a nice place for a drink with a NOLA vibe. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was average, but with large portions. The food I ate was not great, but maybe somewhere on the menu there are better selections. I ordered the New Orleans sampler. They brought a salad which I guess comes with the meal. It was too much lettuce for the plate and had cheese sprinkled over a gloppy white dressing(which didn’t taste terrible, it just looked bad). Had I known it was coming, I would have skipped it – not because of flavor just because it didn’t look appetizing and it was hard to eat because the gloppy white sauce stuck the top lettuce together and left the bottom lettuce naked. You couldn’t mix it because it would just fall off the small plate. It was comical but kind of annoying. The gumbo looked like gumbo, but was gravy-like and without flavor. The red beans again lacked flavor and had a thin consistency. I reached for the Louisiana hot sauce, but that too seemed different… a little thick with a dark red color, but I know Louisiana has different types, so maybe not the one I was used to. I used it, and it did add some heat. The«blackened sausage» tasted like a salty burnt hot dog. The corn tasted good… like corn. The crawfish étouffée had a good flavor, but a couple of the crawfish had a strong fishy flavor that was off putting. The rice was well cooked. The real highlight was a two dollar draft that was on special. It was called«hemp hop» or something. It had good flavor and was cold. I gave it three star, because of the service, and I believe if I knew the menu better maybe I could find something that would satisfy the craving for that authentic Louisiana flavor.

Service worker was okay but a bit hearing impaired. Repeated twice our drink orders, still got them wrong. Staff was a bit unsettled with our request to fix tab. Food was subpar from what New Orleans should be. Their web site’s menu do not show current pricing.(Ouch! Be careful!) My husband called me to let me know he was locked in the bathroom. «Send ssdomeone to open tge doir.» Overall a bit disappointing. Should have followed my immediate hunch when walking in to go somewhere else.

I had the ribeye. I’ll be honest, it took a while. But it was well worth the wait!!! It had to be the best, moist, tender, ribeye I’ve had at any restaurant! Great great food! Red beans and rice were amazing as well!

On a VERY busy Friday night, we entered a crowded R Landry’s expecting a lengthy wait. The hostess asked us if we didn’t mind sharing a large table with another couple, she could seat is immediately. We accepted and were seated. We thought it would be a little strange but all went well. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. They checked on us just the right amount. The food was very good. Their sauces are excellent. There was live music this night and we enjoyed We’re definitely going back.

We really enjoyed stopping at this place on our way to Oklahoma City. We were there on a Friday and there was live music. We tried the fried fish platter, gumbo soup, and The Boiler. We enjoyed all thoroughly. The Boiler plate was definitely a good try. With the live music it gets a little loud, but not annoyingly so. The atmosphere was pleasant, homy, and entertaining.

The steak I had was delicious but it was so hot in there everyone was sweating and using menus to fan the self. Just to hot to enjoy. I’d say go in the winter

In on a business trip, a fellow business associate wanted to know if I wanted to eat seafood. Me not seafood? Does the pope wear a funny hat? Knowing that we are in Fort Smith, I was sure that the evening would end in failure. He perked up and said the name of the restaurant was Landry’s. I replied, «you mean the Landry’s that’s in New Orleans, and Houston? He said, I think so… Well, I went from utter excitement, to utter disappointment. We arrived, and I could tell from the outside that this was not the Landry’s that I have enjoyed many, many times. The waitress was quick with a menu and my first question do you have any fresh fish on special tonight? She said no, everything we have is frozen. OK, I get it, it is Fort Smith, and I guess they either do not have an airport or their clientele does not ask for fresh fish. Looking at the menu is hard, when you want seafood, but you really don’t want anything fried. We split a dozen oyster’s, and I know, they were not fresh, but they tasted fine. I had the crawfish etoufee, I know, I know, sauce was good, but the frozen little crawfish had no flavor. My dining companion had the red snapper, and he loved it. I took a bite, and for frozen it was not bad. It’s not fair for me to rate this place compared to a restaurant chain that serves fresh fish, but for the service, and the overall food, I will give it a solid 3 stars. The frozen oysters brought it up to a 3. Stay hungry my friends…

I went here for my birthday and ordered the grouper, and let me tell you, it was about a foot long and 2 inches deep. Are you kidding me? I never have had a piece of fish so perfect! It even beats mommas fish house in Maui. The service and live music was way better than most places I have been too. Also if you love spicy food, get the number 5 on the side and prepare. If you ever had Daves insanity sauce it’s just like that. Go here and you will have a fantastic time!

Meh. Stopped passing through town. Large portions, not much flavor. Way too big for lunch. I would recommend splitting a dish because they are so huge. My po boy was just ok. Both the French fries and the gumbo were lacking. However, the service was very friendly. Seems like a cool place to hang out in the evening when they have live music, but otherwise not much going for it.

Absolutely our worst experience ever. While the service and fasciitis were acceptable, the food quality was not. New Orleans is like our second home and I can assure you that nothing about this food is similar to NOLA. The fried foods were all over cooked. The sea food tasted very fishy and old. The calamari was rubbery like a thick rubber band. The seasonings were severely lacking. This place might be acceptable for those who have never been to NOLA, but it is certainly not authentic.

Crawfish étouffée was for lunch today. It was good but forgettable. Salad had an interesting house dressing that I enjoyed. Service was excellent which is why the 4 star. Parking is a bear also, if you can’t park in the street good luck finding a spot.

Excellent, excellent. I’m always skeptical about restaurants that label themselves as a certain style, especially when they say«New Orleans style.» This establishment was spot on. The décor was themed to be Nola-esque. That’s the easy part. The food was certainly in the claimed style. My workmate and I started with an appetizer of fried clams, fried calamari, and fried crawfish. It was a great start to a great meal. I ordered the Taste of New Orleans meal which included crawfish étouffée, red beans & rice with blackened sausage, and gumbo. The beans and rice portion was incredibly tasty. There was a smoky flavor that pushed it to the top and then over it. The étouffée was outstanding as well. The sauce was rich and creamy but not overly, which is what usually happens when trying to mimic this recipe. The crawfish were tender. The gumbo wasn’t all that great, but it was still full of flavor. I gladly encourage anyone to dine here. The next time I’m in town, I’m going here first. The 1 person boiler is going to be my next order.

Amazing! I’m telling you, this is the place to be on any night. They have amazing live music as well as great food. Susie makes they best margaritas in town! Tell her that you want her to make you one like she makes me! You won’t be disappointed. That said, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is equally inviting. Please, do yourself a favor and visit here often. Your happy level is guaranteed to go up!
