Best service! We dropped by on a whim and was surprised on the high quality sushi this place has. Awesome baked rolls and highly recommend the JR roll. Recommended to everyone !!! They made our day

This is the ONLY place to eat sushi in Fort Walton Beach. I promise it is THE BEST AROUND!. And I am a sushi enthusiast straight from Japan. Don’t go on Tuesdays they’re closed, and the sushi chef is so awesome! Also I heard their Korean is pretty good too!

It has great variety but it lacks in really authentic taste. The wait staff is friendly but lazy. They will ask you to pass down the plates and cups and whatever else they deem you should help with. The food was hit and miss. Some of it was really good and flavorful while other dishes were blah… Anyways, it’s not bad but as a native Korean, I won’t be missing this establishment.

They need to work on this customer service. The lady told my fiancé «can you hurry up and order, we close at 9pm. It was 8:25. They are only getting 2 stars because the food is decent. You’re running a restaurant. I’ve worked at at least 4 restaurants and we never got off on time. Get used to it or get another job.

My friend and I came for lunch one day. The food are so so, but what so disappointed was how the owner is so unfriendly and rude to us when my friend asked the waitress for rice. She told us his meal didn’t come with rice but mine did. She refused to give me a 2^nd bowl of rice unless I pay $ 3 for a small lousy bowl of rice. I asked to speak to the owner who told us that «Do you know how expensive the rice is!» (I know how much it cost, because I eat rice everyday) still wanted the charged us $ 3 for that small bowl. Nevertheless, we’ve not go back to Kim and will make sure to tell all our friends about it.

I’ve been here many times and I love it! I still go to other Korean restaurants in town, but Kim’s is what started my love of Korean food. I have a very difficult time getting anything other than their beef bokkum, but today I am forcing myself away from my sweet addiction and going with the kimchi jjigae. I have always enjoyed the ban cha which are all the little side dishes that come with everything. My wife also ordered a bayou roll. Absolutely delicious! I think it may actually be the best roll I have had in my life! The soup was delicious, the sushi was on point, and our waitress was very bubbly and friendly. I was surprised to have read other reviews say the people are rude. Everyone had a smile in their face and a pleasant attitude. It was very nice. Absolutely recommend stopping in.

i dont normally write on these things but i feel the need to write down my experience with this place. my friends and i were just there yesterday. we normally dont go to this korean restaurant because we go to korea house right down the street but since it was sunday and its the only korean place open in town we went ahead and tried this place. Its a really nice place. The food was also great! we got the beef bulgogi and the squid bukkom. THE SERVICE HOWEVER, NOT SO MUCH! my friend wanted to order the sushi and asked the waitress how many rolls the sushi came with, and THE WAITRESS RESPONDED WITH «YOU HAVE TO WAIT BECAUSE I HAVE OTHER CUSTOMERS TO SERVE» the rest of our experience was involving us fearing to ask for refills. im only this place 2 stars because the food was excellent.

Food was great today! Service was really good. I would have given 5 stars but I find that Unilocalp has a tendency to filter out the good reviews & hide them below.

The food here is absolutely AMAZING, especially the sushi bar. The sushi is to die for, probably the best and I’ve had sushi at some fine establishments across the country. I would give 5 stars but the older woman we’ve had wait on us a few times is a complete grinch. I wouldn’t go back but the sushi is so damned good that I’ll be back.

First off, the service was worse than slow. The servers lost track of when persons came in to the restaurant. We were seated and two other couples after us and the last couple was waited one first. One couple even got up and left for the server brought the food to the wrong table. The portion size of the sides was way two small. When even had to take three times for extra napkins. We have eaten there twice in the past month with the same outcome each time. It is time to find another place to get my Korean fix.

Wow this place has gone downhill. Save yourself some heartache and go to Chopstix just a bit further north on Eglin.
Like most bad reviews, my problems are largely associated with the poor quality of service, but I also think there is a systemic problem when there is a menu available which does not reflect what they have available to eat. How can I order two different things from the menu and you not have either?
The wait staff cannot be bothered to help you if you yourself are not Korean, which is unfortunate. My money is good too! The lady who was working lunch yesterday was just not happy to be there, except for helping the one Korean family out of 10 other tables she was responsible for.
I won’t be going back, so they don’t really need to do anything to impress me anymore, but if I can point others to give their patronage to Chopstix, then I might save you from a bad experience.

Can’t do it came here twice to eat. Terrible service terrjble rice worst kimchi not enough banchan. Super dark but flavorless tea like whaaat? Damn chambong for +$ 13?! That’s stupid expensive. Waste of your money and time. Dont bother eating the sushi, rolls whatever.

Being a girl from California, I was surprised to find this hidden gem in the middle of a strip mall. My boyfriend and I came in for lunch and even despite the crowded atmosphere of lunch hour, the food was absolutely delicious. The beef LA ribs were cooked to perfection and the dumplings were crispy and flavorful. It was very authentic and I enjoyed every single bite. The portion size was spot on and left me feeling full, but not too full. To top it all off, the staff was also very kind and attentive. I would definitely come all the way back to Destin just for the food here.

I had the beef bulgoki and it was pretty good. We ate an early lunch and shared a California roll and a salmon roll. Both rolls were very fresh tasting. Our server was efficient and friendly. I highly recommend for good sushi.

Food was great and flavorful. Service was horrible. The place had one server and it got quite busy. She couldn’t handle the tables. We were the first table there yet our food took so long. I would recommend this place if you’re not in a hurry. Would be back here whenever we are back in town.

I love this place! The food is excellent. Very generous portions. I ordered kim chi soup, champong and some sushi. Their seafood salad tastes soooooo good. I would definitely come back!

Most Food taste okay, but you get so little amount of food compare what u paying for, i ordered kim bab as an appetizer while i was waiting take out order. it was just full of rice nothing really in it. They somtimes dont have kimchi so they cant make any soup or cooked kimchi stuff on their menu. Service wasn’t too horrible but they re not nice either. It was just meh everything

I was very happy to visit this Korean restaurant Since it’s not so far from my house.
Overall, The food was delirious but wish they had a bit better service.
A little tip for Korean restaurants: The servers work for whole tables in the restaurant so you can call anyone in the restaurant. you don’t have to wait the one server who gave you drink or menu.
It was quite unpleasant when they held me till they found the restaurant copy from my bill… I told them I gave it to them and didn’t have it… But till they found it from their counter I had to be their hostage ! LOL

Awesome food, great service and very friendly. We will be back for sure.
To expand on our review, we enjoyed it immensely. A jewel in the rough as far as décor, but comfortable and loved that we did not feel crowded over the lunch period. We would like to try and go when the sushi is available. Heard and read comments that they are really delicious. Hope this review has helped.
