Took my wife in to get a minor procedure done. Dr Zavitsanos was very pleasant and the procedure was quick and painless.

2 years ago my then 4 ½ year old daughter slipped and fell in our house and needed stitches on her cheek. We have extremely light skin and I knew every little scar would be exaggerated by that, so upon hearing in the ER that she would need to stitches I asked to see a plastic surgeon. They told us this wasn’t common practice and that they were fully capable of doing the repair… but then another doctor came in and said they would call the plastic surgeon. They called Dr Zavitsanos who drove down from a weekend away to meet us in the ER later that night. He did a great job with her! He stitched her up quickly and she didn’t even cry! We went to his office to have them removed a few days later and again he was great with her. I was so shocked that he was so good with kids!
Flash forward 2 years later and my daughter had an accident at camp and needed to have stitches on the exact opposite side of her face. This happened at camp and I was told that she was hit with pitchfork! Upon hearing that I wanted to take her to the hospital to make sure that she didn’t need a tetinus shot. When the resident came in and told me first that she was «missing a pretty good chunk of skin, but it should be a fairly easy repair» I again asked for Dr Zavitsanos. She told me that she had been working there for 5 months! and had never called the plastic surgeon. With that I knew that I needed to make that call! No one with 5 months experience was going to be stitching my daughter!
We called Dr Zavitsanos who was working downtown at the time. He said that he would meet us in his Ft Washington office after hours at 5:45 to stitch her up! I could not believe that he would do all of that for my little girl, but I sure am happy that he did! He was so great with her and really put her mind at ease. There was very little crying (just during numbing) and at one point we thought she fell asleep.
I’m so happy that we have someone like this in our area! Someone who understands how to minimize a scar and the trauma of having to go through this. He totally went above and beyond in both of these cases and I’m sure that if there is a next time, we are skipping the ER and going straight to Dr Zavitsanos!

He spent a very little time with me. Did not pay attention to what I am saying. Was asking the same things few times like he is not focused. He charged 170 $ for 3 minutes of work. He scheduled a surgery with a full anesthesia when it is not typically required for this type of surgery.
At the day of surgery he had more appointments, that was able to handle. I had to leave after waiting 3 hours w/​out any procedure being done. I lost a day of work, as well as my wife did.
An update: I have recently traveled to my home country in Eastern Europe and scheduled a surgery there. It was done under a local anesthesia. Entire process took 15 minutes and cost me less than initial visit to «so called doctor» Zavitsanos.
