C R Carpet

My mom got her carpet from this place. CR was recommended to her by a contractor. My mom is elderly and didn’t have anyone to go with her to shop for carpeting. They sold her a nice Shaw Berber carpet, but didn’t tell her she could get Berber 15 feet wide for her 13 feet wide mobile home. They sold her a 12 feet wide carpet.
The installers had to put a one foot seam in the living room and bedroom. They put three (3) separate cut pieces in her hallway, showing four seams, and it’s a high traffic area.
There was also a problem where her carpet met the kitchen vinyl flooring. They re-​used the edge cover from the old carpet and it should have been replaced. It exposed the edge of the vinyl and was collecting dirt and water under it. What a mess.
I feel they took advantage of my mother, and cut corners on the installation. If I could, I would make them give my mom her money back, take up the carpet, and go some where else.
I’m only giving them 3 stars because the carpet is nice. But I would give the installation a one star and only one star for the salesman. Overall, do your homework before buying flooring from these people and don’t use their installers.
