I can’t say enough great things about Waynedale Bakery and it’s owners and staff. With all of the«big box» competitors, they continue to uniquely stand out, by staying true to what they do best! They take the time with their customers to ensure a personal touch, especially with the cakes that are beautifully decorated and so moist and flavorful. The bakery has been around for a long time and the owners make you feel right at home. I also enjoy their pies, muffins and fun seasonal cookies. And my new favorite for making amazing french toast is their challah bread. I would highly recommend Waynedale Bakery for making your celebrations memorable and special. They have certainly made my occasions special!

It isnt often you find people willing to help but I found them at the Waynedale Bakery. Some people send flowers but I wanted to send something truly meaningful to my cousins. I wanted to send pie. I am in Central Florida and know only family in Ft. Wayne. I did a google search and found this bakery. Thank you Chris! My cousins loved the pies. Your mother was so very generous to help with this. I cannot thank you enough

I ordered my daughter’s wedding cake from Waynedale Bakery a full 8 months before the wedding. I stopped in about weeks out to pay off the cake and drop off the ribbons, broach and candy diamonds we were using in the decorations. I found it odd that we had to purchase these things ourselves but thought maybe that’s what was keeping the price so reasonable. When I gave the baker my name and name of the bride, they pulled the file and found a sheet with our names on it but no picture of the cake, none of the flavors we had picked out, the size or even the wedding date! I was of course freaking out but Chris the baker assured me she would have the cake ready and all I had to do was send the picture. Then, I was told I needed another $ 25 deposit for the supports and cake plates. Ok. Take my credit card. I got a phone call Saturday telling me that they couldn’t use the diamond candy I had purchased as they were too small and getting lost in the frosting. I gave my permission to use what they had. I got to the hall at 4:30 to talk to the manager as the weather turned bad and we had to move the wedding inside. When I went inside, the broach had fallen off the cake and rolled down the front, damaging the cake. It’s a good thing the baker who did the grooms cake was still there, she was able to anchor the broach and fix the icing. I spoke to Chris Tuesday morning and was told this was not their fault. The cake was fine when she left. I also was told that I never put a deposit down on the supports and plates. If I had, there would be cash inside the envelope attached to my order. I was so upset by this time, I left. After looking at the picture that the bakery sent me, you can clearly see the broach is falling off which is what pulled the icing at the top apart. In addition to that — look at the placement of the silver«flowers». They aren’t even in a line. The top is super bad but the bottom looks like a child did it. Plus, you can see the bump of frosting on the top of the cake. This is just shoddy workmanship. The fact that they wouldn’t make it right or acknowledge the issue is even more upsetting. A bakery we have used for years is now closed to me. I wouldn’t recommend them for even a donut.

My parents recently purchased a cake from here for my wedding. It wasn’t a large cake, just enought for the wedding party and few family and friends to have a slice. Everyone who tried it loved it! It was amazing! The wedding was in the Indianapolis area and multiple people were upset when they learned the bakery was in Fort Wayne and not local. They were upset they would not be able to purchase they’re own treats easily from you. :)
