If I could give a million negative stars I would. First, the young lady in the front didn’t know what the heck she was doing. The food was so expensive for HORRIBLE quality. And let me top this whole thing off, I took four bite of my chicken bowl and the chicken tasted weird. Like a freaking hotdog. Less than two hours later I was hugging my toilet. ALLNIGHT. I went to the ER after the fourth hour of non stop vomiting. Guess what I had?! FOODPOISONING. This place is not good, at all. They are dirty and don’t place the safety of their costumers of their own laziness. DONTEATHERE! I ate there 2÷2÷16, and will never make the mistake to go again!

Just charged me $ 20 for a quesadilla. Not sure but don’t think they like white people. They are always rude to me but I noticed they e were super nice to the Mexicans behind me. Might be my last visit. Good good but service is awful…

Wow. Where do I start. Well let me start off by saying, This place was such a rip off. I got a steak bowl with rice beans and avocado. My husband got a chicken burrito that was(COLD). Just those two items with out drinks ran us about 19 dollars and sum change. I’m never going back again. Oh yeah the food was not even good.

They sent me a buy one burrito get one free so I decided to give them another try at lunch. They would not let me use the buy one get one free with a burrito bowl. I explained that I didn’t want the tortilla and the bowl is cheaper anyways. The guy was rude and said the offer says burrito. Really? I ordered my two burritos and asked for a bowl on the side same thing.

Really good food, turned me away 15 minutes before close. I understand they closed in 15 minutes but it was only 1 burrito. What is the point of being open until a certain time If you won’t serve until that time? Lady was rude about it too.

New favorite lunch spot. I like the green chili pork though everything I have eaten has been great so far. Every burrito I have eaten has been loaded with meat. Try the bad azz green salsa. Unilocal is full of haters try to ignore them.

I have gone in two days in a row and they didn’t have the green Chile pork. 1st at 8pm and the 2nd day at noon. This is the only reason I go here. Otherwise this place is just an overpriced, lesser quality Chipotle. I won’t try a 3rd time

First time to visit… and last time. As my family and I walked in there were no employees in site, first red flag. We waited about 20 seconds before anyone came out of the back. There were no other guests in the dining room at 7:30 on a Friday night, second red flag. I ordered the steak burrito which was average taste. The first employee appeared to untrained as she didn’t strain the beans much. Once I got my burrito it fell apart on the first bite, being soaked. The other employee, which seemed to be the person in charge(I have no idea how) could not answer any questions about the food; i.e., «what’s in the pork?» While sitting in the dining area I noticed the kitchen area was not very clean and there was an abundance of dust overhead of the prep area. Lack of management IMO on all issues. Will not return.

Ordered a barbacoa burrito with black beans. The beans were under cooked, still hard. There was barely any barbacoa on the burrito, and what was there wasn’t meat, it was just fat. No good at all, especially for $ 9. The employee who made the burrito acted like it was an annoyance for him to wait on us, and had an attitude throughout the entire process. He was inconvenienced by us being there to order food, and he made that apparent. The restaurant was empty, and everything looked filthy. They are in an old Quiznos location, and the old Quiznos decorations are still up. This restaurant was always dirtier than the now-closed location that used to be on 377, but it’s even worse now than the last time we visited about a year ago. We will most definitely not be returning, and it’s a shame because I love to support local business.

I’m in between an «A-okay 3 star rating» and«Yay! I’m a fan 4 star rating.» While this is certainly not the best«mexican» food I’ve tasted in comparison to San Diego Mexican food back in California, this is one of the only San-Diego styled mexican restaurants here. I’m not a fan of tex-mex, so this place was a godsend when I heard about it. It’s A-okay because I do like the food. It’s customizable. Think Chipotle, but in burrito/quesadilla form :). It’s $ 6.25 for a medium pizza-box sized quesadilla, and it’s more than enough to share between two people. HOWEVER, I heard the other location(in Blue Mound, I believe) gives you wayyyy bigger portions, and they don’t skimp out on the meat as much as they do here. I can only vouch for this location for now because they had groupons running for this place, making my mexican food cravings even cheaper~ OHHANDTHEYHAVECALIFORNIABURRITOSHEREYESSSSSS. It would totally be a 3.5 star in my book, but because they skimp out on the ingredients, compared to the one in Blue Mound, it’s more deserving of a 3-star rating. This place has hugeeee potential though, so I hope they get better with the employees and consistency of their portions. It’s yummy, so give it a try :). The employees always look confused and slow for some reason, though.

The food was good would have gone back but the service was terribly rude and no welcome just plain rude. I tried to inform her my order was to go and she rudely interrupted me and continued to ask me what my order was. A welcoming smile and a thank you would take them along way

This is my go to spot for Burritos. There’s not much to say, that burritos are good! I like the fact that you pick and choose what you want on it and also that they have Barbacoa. I would give it 5 stars but the girl behind the counter doesn’t do a good job wrapping my burrito. Some days she does it ok, other days it just falls apart. If she would learn how to wrap it properly then they would get 5 stars! Also, the owner always recognizes me and says hello. I go there pretty often. However, the girl behind the counter must have wrapped 100 burritos for me and still she never knows what I want on it. I get the same thing every time. That’s not a big deal; she probably sees a ton of people. To sum it up… Great Burritos!

Below average seems to sum up my whole experience. When you walk in, you become confused immediately by the décor. This place didn’t know what its identity was. There was a huge mural of an American flag on one wall, another gigantic mural of vegetables and a donkey in glaring primary colors on the opposite wall, Christmas lights in the window, a creepy mannequin in the corner wearing a company shirt, and random tacky art on the walls. My second thought was, «man this place is dirty.» Even if you’re a start-up restaurant, you need to prioritize cleaning products. No one wants to eat in front of a grimy window or walk on loose tiles. The back counter area behind where you order was a mess. Trash, chips, old appliances, and who knows what else all heaped in piles. The whole place was just saying«I don’t care.» Definitely understaffed, there was one girl helping the customers at the cash register but she was also expected to prepare the food, which is done in a similar style to chipotle. She was slow and got confused very easily, but I found out it was her first day. A total lack of training and preparation by the management. The guy that came out of the back to put some meat on the grill was slow to offer help for the line of customers and had earbuds in. Not respectful or an attitude of service. The food was edible but does not live up to the name. Not bad azz at all. The meats all looked to be dried out from over-grilling. My asada burrito was pretty flavorless. Chips that were supposedly made fresh tasted like fritos. Overall a disappointing meal. I’d steer clear of this place… many superior options across the street.

This place is great! Great staff, great service and a great manager. The burritos are a really good price for how much you pay. I come here at least 4 times a week just because it is so great and there great service! 5 stars!

I visited this establishment today, the overall look and feel of the restaurant is good and full of potential. The staff I cannot really complain about, but the food I have to say needs some work. I had a burrito with Mexican rice and barbacoa and a few additional sides, the rice had no taste or seasoning. I also ordered a fried fish taco and I received a grilled fish taco, no biggie, I still ate it and I have to say it was pretty good! I should have ordered 3 fish tacos, since they are really small, instead of getting a tasteless burritos that cost me $ 6. Beware they charge $ 1.85 to add guacamole to EACH taco! My buddy got a medium drink three small barbacoa tacos and one fish taco and paid almost $ 18! Like I said this place is full of potential I hope they fix these issues and soon! This is my first Unilocal posting.

Well… I will just start by saying no one in California makes burritos like this. These are not California-style, they are Freebirds-style. Also worth mentioning is that the mural on the wall, offering the history of the burrito, is completely different than the one on their to go menu. Was it Vicky in East LA or Juan in Juarez? Was it in 1912 or post-WWII? If you’re gonna make up a story that’s fun, great… just keep it straight. The food is okay, but should you wander down the road of Groupon BEWARE. I bought a 10-burrito punch card & on 4 consecutive visits the rules have changed. All I want is a burrito with no tortilla(or rice, or beans, or potatoes). The first time it was no problem. Then, I was told I could pay the difference & get my burrito in a «bowl.» They tried to tell me there is more stuff in the bowl, but what I asked for was a burrito with no tortilla — nothing extra(no rice, beans, or potatoes). When I took a co-worker there after establishing that I could pay the difference for a bowl, I was told that not only could I not do that, but that I could only get a plain, white, flour tortilla. Not sure what this«wet burrito» is I hear people mentioning because no one has offered anything of the sort to me, but they do run the darn thing through a toaster oven after putting lettuce, tomatoes, and even sour cream on it. What the what is that? Of the three girls working there, only is very friendly, one is downright nasty, and the third is not terribly fluent(and that is where the whole«bowl» thing began), although very friendly. They are more trouble than they are worth.
