Drove by yesterday, they were shut down, no signs on the exterior of the building.

The pizza is traditional ny style and was above average, but not special. The pasta dishes were standard fare, pretty much what you would get from every other italian joint found littering the strip malls. Portions were a bit undersized. The service was pretty poor, though. It was prime dinner time, not late, and we were one of two families in the dining room that night.(Yes, two. Bad sign, right?) The kitchen messed up our order and the waitress seemed to have other, more important things to do than wait on us. Putting on more makeup, possibly… She couldn’t wait to get us out the door and out of her hair. I’m white, clean, polite, etc. I don’t know what her problem was. Anyway, I can’t see any reason to go back. There are far too many dining choices out there for me to patronize one that doesn’t appreciate my business.

We used to like this place. The pizza was good, the lunch specials cheap, and they delivered. However, they changed hands and the service is so awful now that we won’t go back. It is hard to believe that these new people wanted to be in a service industry. Their people skills need a lot of work.

I always order pizza for delivery or to go from here. Only ate here once years ago. The pizza is good — almost new york style — thin crust. I always order the deluxe.

The pizza was great, the pasta doesn’tt have too much sauce and the eggplant was very good. Keep it up Bardo’s

Support your local restaurants. It was amazing!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone. It was a quite place that was perfect for conversation. The food was very flavorful and the prices were excellent. Plus it’s BYOB so bring your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy a delicious meal. They had live music playing softly in the background which helped set the mood. All I can say is I am glad we tried it, will definitely be back, and glad to support great local restaurants.

$ 5.95 Daily Lunch Specials(11AM to 3PM) –Review below list– Mon. — Spaghetti Your Way, Baked Ziti Tues. — Lasagna, Eggplant Parmigiana Wed. — Pasta Sampler, Fettuccini Alfredo Thurs. — Angel Hair Your Way, Calzone Fri. — Chicken Parmigiana, Stuffed Shells (Lunch Specials served with Tossed Salad, House Dressing & Garlic Rolls) (Calzone & Stromboli Specials Available Mon. — Fri.) — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – So I decided to try the ridiculous daily lunch special that Bardo’s is famous for(From the Fort Worth Weekly). Thankfully I had a fellow Unilocaler to enjoy it with(Steven S.). The lunch is a steal. $ 5.95 for an entrée(it looked like a half portion to me), tossed salad and those delicious garlic rolls. I also treated Steven S. to the fantastic stuffed mushroom appetizer. Everything was just as tasty as before, and the service was courteous as always… then I ran into a problem. The marinara sauce in the award winning Chicken Parmigiana was over-salted, badly. It wasn’t too bad if I combined the sauce with some noodles and the chicken, but by itself it was nearly like licking straight salt. I’m hoping this was just an isolated incident(I really enjoyed myself the last time). Anyhow, I still had a wonderful time with Steven S. and I want to thank him again for the company(Maybe City Kitchen or Salsa Fuego next time, Steven?)

The food was really good… when I finally got it. We ordered to go and sat there for quite a while. I won’t say it was worth the wait but I went back and service was a little better. The food is good.

my husband and i had dinner at bardos on a rainy afternoon. we were the only diners for a while. the owner was very friendly and helpful by explaining the menu. i decided on the chicken parm and my husband ordered the sampler pasta dish. the chicken parm was tender and the sauce was great. not too sweet and not that overwhelming marinara flavor. the portion was just enough to where you’re not stuffed nor needing a to-go box. my husband said his entrée was just average. we ordered an all meat pizza to go. its a new york style pizza… thin and chewy. but it didn’t stand out and could use more toppings.

I work across the street and have come here at least a handful of times since starting my new job. Their pizza is delicious and have ordered it to be delivered at least twice. It arrives early/on time and tastes so yummy. Only downside about pizza that I have noticed is that yes, they do use canned mushrooms. Maybe they’ll consider fresh mushrooms as their business increases. We come for lunch and they have great specials under $ 6, closer to the $ 5 mark. Each day is different and last Friday I got the stuffed shells. They were delicious, but felt I needed some meat and added meatballs. Ouch. It sure does bump up the price quickly as you customize the lunch menu. Stick to their menu suggestion as is to keep your lunch at a low price. Meat sauce is rich, hearty and full of beef — definitely not scrimping on it like other restaurants we have tried. Their garlic bread is brought out to the table piping hot just about a minute after the drinks are delivered. They won’t ask if you want more, so if you are craving seconds, you’ll have to ask for it. Lunch portions come with the entrée, salad and fresh garlic bread. What a deal.
